My favorite starter as a west coast citizen of Sweden… we don’t peel the shrimps like you do(we want to have the butter that’s in the head in to the mix to boost the taste)…and we don’t use sour cream either due it gets to lose… we use roe in the mix for the saltiness+ freshly pulverized black pepper(a pinch)but the rest you got right (bread/red union/lemon/dill and fresh shrimps)in my prospective😉… there so many ways of this recipe, but mine is simply the best …as every expert fishing home chef say🤣
Hej! Har du någon mejladress som jag kan ställa en fråga som jag inte vill ställa här? Jag skulle vilja dela den här videon på en konferens nämligen och undrar om det är ok... :)
Good question! Well the original recipe from the Swedish chef Tore Wretman only uses mayonnaise. So yes it's possible, if you find it to get to "heavy" you can try with sour cream next time :)
Do the shrimps not need to be deveined? Won’t they be gritty with the veins still in (not to mention how gross I find it to eat a bunch of shrimp poo 😂)?
I went to Sweden earlier this year and tried this for the first time. Have made it a few times since I have been back and absolutely love this dish
Looks amazing!! So fun to discover a new dish, thank you. I'll be making it for sure! :)
One of my favourite dish 👌 Thanks for sharing :) keep uploading more stuff.
Thanks @SharZb!
Mine as well! :)
Let me know if there is some special catergory of food you think is missing on the channel :)

Oh I love this, tho I never could try it freshly made, it must be a delight! I like having the bought version with a side of tomatoes

could i add hard-cooked egg to this? I have seen it this way at a local swedish restaurant here in Arizona US.
Some pickled red onion as well.
is it possible to change the sour cream with cream cheese or just leave it and go with mayonaise only. Thanks
Good question!

Can I use crab instead of shrimp? or can you recommend a scandinavian or Swedish recipe with crab?
thanks
Good question!
I will say no, but you can always try. It might taste good as well!
Thanks for watching and food luck!
@@FoodwithViktor thanks

And thanks for watching! :)
Are the Shrimps cooked, boiled or just fresh from the market to the table?
Good question!
They are boiled 🙂
Can you tell me that 1dl is how much gram?
3:03 - Excuse me? Don't spare any what? 😅

Kör i lite tabasco, höjer alla smaker något enormt.
Sounds interesting!
Thanks for watching David 🙂💪
So you mean a quarter
Sure thing!
He's doing it right, but that's because he's copying the classic Norwegian "rekesmørbrød". The swedes usually don't even have fresh shrimp!
you know that we can buy fresh shrimp in almost every grocery store right?
Hahaha du är inte riktig. Var fiskas de norska räkorna?
@@tomasdanielsson2550 It was a joke dumdum.
