    I like that you used Hellman’s instead of the regular heavy and chemical/sweet tasting Swedish mayo.

    Compliments from a Swedish viewer. Looks awesome. You should try this with some finely diced apple in as well. Takes it to another level. (Also - since I am not a huge fan of mayonnaise, I go half and half on mayo and creme fraîche. But that's just me.)

      I like to use cayenne pepper as well but I guess horseradish would be fine too. A homemade mayonnaise though, it makes all the difference.

    • @SimpleWildLiving
      @SimpleWildLiving  2 года назад

      Thanks I totally understand 😊 yes you can the Swedish call it a räksmörgas. You can search for this and just skip the Mayo. You can have a little creme fresh inside or a little sour cream.. how this helps 🙏🏻

      @SimpleWildLiving  3 года назад +4

      Hi, I didn’t forget I just didn’t want to add crem Fraiche I wanted to keep it close to the original recipe and add horseradish in which reduces the fat feeling the just mayo can give. 😄 great comment thank you.

    Like mentioned earlier, the red onion really makes a big difference, its not traditional but the crunchy and acidity that the red onion provides is heavenly. A advice is to let the Skagen sit for 24h so all the flavours meld together to enhance the flavour.

    And please make your own mayonnaise for this - it only takes a few minutes, and is vastly superior to the stodgy, overly sweet Hellman’s
