The before was pretty good, but I can see that having items in categories makes the closet more functional. I also appreciate you saying to aim for 'good enough' as I can get obsessed with getting things perfect. Love to see Clover😊

When I think back to all of the bits and pieces I used, that were given to me as a newly-wed, mostly second-hand, and how they did the job until we could afford to buy new without getting into debt, I could cry at the debt some youngsters get into becaue it all has to match! :/

We have 2 coat closets in our entryway so I turned one into a utility type closet. It stores our vacuum, step stool, suitcases and a few bins of other things. It could use a reorganizing soon. Thanks for sharing.
I have one coat closet. I live in Arizona and own one light coat that I haven't worn in years, so my coat closet is my vacuum, floor steamer, carpet cleaner, thermal and reusable grocery bag closet. 😁
Oh! Please do a demo of the spot cleaner if u can! Not saying make a mess, but if mess happens...
I think your best advice is to "get to a place of good enough" - living in a Pinterest setup is a setup photos using less items than they own. I love that advice!
Couldn't watch the whole video on my lunch break. But love the advice of "get to a place of good enough" I think too often we don't start to tackle projects just because we know what's in our head isn't what will be achieved!
The "before" is pretty good, and probably much, much better than most other utility closets in the land.

Let me just say having the elfa shelving in there first of all is brilliant in and of itself. I organize for our lifestyle personally. Real life for me is not the way I live a very busy life. I go for ease of clean and clutter free areas and for us it works best. Its easy to put things in a designated spot for everyone to do in my family and they and I count on that. TFS. Absolutely adore little boo Clover🐶💙

I don't have a dedicated utility closet, but do have a closet the weather heater is in. I try to keep things organized around it
I just got rid of my gift wrap Tupperware and got a hanging one from amazon. Best purchase ever!! Now I don’t have to dig to get stuff and/or put stuff away.

I realized at one point in dog ownership that my husband and I spent more on dog food (standard dry kibble for 1 medium dog) per year than in clothing for both of us combined. 😅

I figured out that the oval thing was actually a piece of the Samsung Frame TV LOL it’s a back panel cover if we decide to take it off the wall for some reason. I put it in storage 🤣

The suitcases, Christmas tree and Christmas decorations should be in this closet, not the hall closet. Clover is so cute, I love how he slides going for his ball!!

That black oval shaped piece of plastic. Mystery item? Looks like the bottom that mini upholstery cleaner you had on the top shelf Of the closet? Hope that helps. LOL
It belongs to the Samsung Frame TV. It covers the back panel in case we ever decide to place it on a surface instead of wall mount it
