- Holy cow, friends...that was a LOT of work! Today you finally get to watch me COMPLETELY clean our storage room. I am taking EVERYTHING out, donating, decluttering and organizing everything! I am SO happy this is done and over with and we can now move on, knowing that dreaded space is CLEEEAN! I truly hope you enjoy it!

I’ve been decluttering for the past 2 years and if feels like once we’ve conquered space…. Some how the garage is a mess again 🤦🏽♀️ you’re an inspiration…. I know it wasn’t easy but you did it!

Wow, you should be very proud. That was quite a task especially with you having surgery and the family being sick. I’m totally in awe. Part two…it will make your life so much easier if you label your boxes and what is in them. You still have so much that if you’re not using it in a few months or next year, you could sell online and probably make a fortune.
This makes me glad I live in a geodesic dome. We don't have a basement or an attic. We have a large mudroom off the kitchen that holds enough stuff.
True! It's very american I think, I'm french and except for christmas, we don't change our home decor every season... at least noone I know! (and even christmas, some people are crazy about it, yes, but most of the time it's just a tree, some lights, a few false snow spraying on the windows and that's it...) 😄
You are going to love your finished basement when the kids get a little older...great space for them, all the toys, sleepovers, movies,video games! Etc.
If you want to learn to play those guitars, try bringing them out of the basement. Get a couple floor stands or wall hooks, and find places in your home to keep them where you can just grab them and pick for a few minutes. Much like a basket for knitting supplies, sometimes you only get a few minutes a day or whatever, but with them all the way in the basement, you'll never use them. We are a very musical family; all four of our kids play multiple instruments, and we have about nine guitars among the six of us. Your kids will also love having "real" instruments around. Like anything else, they can be taught how to safely touch the guitars. I wish you joy in learning guitar with your husband, and i hope to hear updates of your musical journey! 😊

When my girls were little I couldn’t afford to buy decorations for every holiday. Now that I’m a grandmother Christmas is the only one I decorate.
It's amazing how much stuff we can collect over the years. You did such a wonderful job of organizing everything. I hope I have this much success on our basement when we start on it!

I have loved watching your videos over the years…I remember a few years ago when you announced you were pregnant again with Twins!! I thought, wow, that would be so fun and so crazy at the same time! Well, you are still just as inspiring with 4 Littles as you were with 2. I also just found out about 7 weeks ago, that I’m now having Mono/Di Twin Boys…and I also have 2 older kids at home.

One tip, Keep stuff out of closed in corner spaces. Put the two red wire shelving units side -by-side across the back or a side wall right to the end, no waste spaces that are hard to access. If it's not easy to access, things will never be used or cleaned for the longest time! (long experience organizing my own and other's 'stuff'!, lol)

Well thank you Denise for making the choice of staying on RUclips! Top notch as always! I am on a reaaally long sickleave or what to call it - and to make my days go on a little faster I watch a lot of youtube. I am from Sweden in the far north of Skandinavia - and I hope that what i am about to say doesnt offend anyone - but in our country it isnt as common to have housewifes/stay at home moms. In Sweden everything is expensive and it often requires that both of the adults in a family is working. So for me being sick and not as strong, motivated and durable as I once were - watching american stay at home moms cleaning, organizing and decorating - has been such a savour for my mind.... I would have gone nuts ages ago if it wasnt for this kind of videos and content. Denise - I have been with you since you bought the house and for a really long time I held on too you and a couple of more youtubemoms - creating life when I couldnt!! And to answer your question - so YES you americans really are big on decorating for different holidays!! Swedes are beginning to celebrate more of your holidays - like halloween and valentines day - but not all of us. Many people here thinks it is just a way for shops to make more money. The one holiday that everyone in sweden does celebrate and decorate for is Christmas! We live in such a dark country in the wintertime so on the first of decemer/ usually/ we put upp certain lights in our windows and start to bake and cook and do different things as a preparation to christmas eve especially - and we celebrate it on the 24: th - with great food, presents and things like that. But we are not storing loads of decor for different holidays in the same way as americans - but i can understand the joy of it! Thanks again for your work!!
I loved your comment. Sweden seems similar to Australia from what you have said (many couples have both parents working) and generally we only decorate for Christmas but the other “holidays” are encroaching. Here it is summer for Christmas and I love the twinkly lights associated with Christmas, but had never associated it with how much light it provides I your dark winter Christmas. I hope your health is improving, your comment brought me joy.

Sounds like we have quite the same celebration inspite of the huge distance between us - that is so cool! We have one big difference though, and that is the weather..:) we usually have cold winter but the climate is definately changing so we dont get it as snowy and cold as we used to.
