This is one of the finest pieces of anything on the entire internet. Aren't you glad we're able to share it with each other right now, somehow and someway? That's beautiful. That's the good part of this thing. So - love to you and yours - wherever you are.
Moondance, the album on which this song first appeared, came out in 1970. It was immediately a favorite, and I listened to it a lot, and was still listening in 1973 when I met a woman who gave me crazy love the likes of which I didn't know existed in the world. This song was part of the sound track of our long and crazy love affair, right up until her death 6 months ago. It's one of the things I listen to when I want to cry a little while remembering her. I can still hear her heart beat, and her sweet loving still makes me righteous and whole and mellow down into my soul.
Bob wasn't a great musician. He was a good song writer a d that's about it. If it wasn't for the hippies poor ole' Bob would even be known. I put Bob up there with the Grateful Dead as entirely OVERRATED.
+CAPOC38A you're an idiot...Dylan is probably the most underrated guitarists of all time...a Man who heavily influenced the Beatles, rolling stones, Hendrix,Springsteen, Willy etc. + I'm sure you're personal favorite the Monkees
+Richard Vosacek You're an idiot. Bobby wrote some of the most nonsense lyrics of all-time. Sure he had a few gems but that's about it. Guitarists???? Bob was far far and far away from being a mediocre guitarists at best. You are a Bob fan and think he the greatest much like Greatful Dead fans think they are just the most far out band in the universe. Well... neither is and both are extremely overrated. Look up Bob Dylan is overrated on Google and look at all the top 10 list he makes and makes the number 1 spot on most. Guitarists???? Bwhahaha!!!
Often the most beautiful jams come out of informal sessions such as these, where egos fade & the little mistakes add to the joy of it all. So what if the lyrics 'hop, skip & jump', so did my heart, with joy.
I've loved but one man since I was 18 yrs old. When I miss him, I put this on and dance. I remember his every touch, his every kiss and his every smile. I get lost in the music. I get lost in that time and space where we live, where we breathe and where we exist. I'm 65 now and I love him, still.
Love love love this video. I play this when im feeling down, when i'm feeling up, when i'm not sure how to feel. There is something about the harmony in their voices together that rattles my soul. From the warpy sound at the begining to the rough road this track takes, all the way to the heartache of wonderfulness it leaves you with.
Bob Dylan was and is one of the greatest lyricists to walk the Earth. Not only has he written for others, but allowed them to claim the credit and honor for their existence. I believe the creative ideas were so abundantly coming to and through him, that he couldn't possibly produce them all himselfish.
From your comment it seems to imply Bob wrote Crazy Love… I’m a little perplexed as this is a well known track on Vans’ album Moondance. I double checked and it was confirmed that Morrison did in fact write the song. Can you please explain what you meant for Bob allowing Van all the credit? 😊
@@elstonngunn4193 Wrong, Van can play Sax, Guitar, Harmonica, Bass and Drums to name but a few instruments. He has the voice and his songs are far more complex in their composition. Dylan is good, but he is a lyrics man and peaked about 40 years ago.

Fascinating to see these two together - a bit like watching Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in 'Heat'! I never understand anyone who says Van Morrison can't sing. When he's in the mood he has the voice of an angel.

After years of waiting, I finally saw Van in concert in New Orleans at Jazz Fest. Just as he appears at any venue in public, he sings with his heart and is my favorite musician and Moondance is one of my favorite songs...maybe because I am a "Browned Eye Girl!"

My heart fills as do my eyes. This song encapsulates what art is in it's most basic form: Love. Crazy Love.
I've loved but one man since I was 18 yrs old.
When I miss him, I put this on and dance. I remember his every touch, his every kiss and his every smile.

Dylan is great, but Van the Man is the best.

I like this version the most. It has a simplicity with it's lack of extreme refinement.

Excellent, relaxed rendition of this fantastic tune! Bob and Van are two of the greats!
It's strange but humanising to see Bob on the back foot.
Yes, I agree. Sometimes it must feel great to just be one of the boys in the band.
And I think bob agrees. He’s lost but in such good humor. He’s having fun!?
He learned a few licks and tricks from the Irish lads, Paul Brady taught him Lakes of Ponchetrain
Two amazing artists. The greatest ever (Dylan), one of the most underrated major artists (Morrison)

Take away my trouble, take away my grief
Take away my heartache, in the night like a thief
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love

Yes I need her in the daytime
Yes I need her in the night
Yes I want to throw my arms around her
Kiss her hug her kiss her hug her tight

She gives me some sweet lovin' brighten up my day
Yes it makes me righteous, yes it makes me feel whole
Yes it makes me mellow down in to my soul
