@Bill Miller Just hope you know what your saying? Seen him from the beginning. Last great concert he did was 1974 ! But haven't heard of him in the 2000s
Down the road from the Acropolis in Athens there's a temple to Poseidon at Sounion, on the tip of the Attic peninsula. Byron carved his name in the stone and you can still see it. Watching Van Morrison and Dylan sing with the Parthenon in the background was like seeing our poets communing with the muses. Thanks so much.

Bob finished his 1989 European Tour in Greece and the BBC got a crew out there for the Van documentary. Bob is always very gracious to people he respects and Van falls into that catergory nicely.
Following the commercial failure of ‘Astral Weeks,’ Van Morrison and his wife moved to upstate New York, close to Woodstock, and close to Bob Dylan’s home, an artist he greatly admired. According to Morrison’s wife, "Van fully intended to become Dylan's best friend", she recalled. "Every time we'd drive past Dylan's house ... Van would just stare wistfully out the window at the gravel road leading to Dylan's place. He thought Dylan was the only contemporary worthy of his attention." Sadly for Van, though, Dylan moved out of town just before he arrived.
