( "If this van's a rocking' , don't bother knocking."). I was a carpenter refurbishing a legendary boat that once held the TransPac record for fastest time from Los Angeles , California to Hawaii...It was a Saturday night, and I went on top of the wheelhouse to listen and watch a music show on a 13 " black and white TV. Van Morrison was on, and played one hell of a set...Then he left, and came back for an encore. Almost immediately, the TV began vibrating, and the picture was vibrating and shaking, and Van was singing, and I was wondering what the hell was going on.? An earthquake, some natural disaster, what ? Then I realized....Van had raised the vibration of the program to a level where everyone, including the musicians and TV technicians had gone into a musical trance of the level beyond the third dimension. The creepiest thing happened just now. I am listening to Van, ready to leave house in couple of minutes and do exercise outside. I scrolled down, didn't see your comment at first, I told my brother to give me my phone and cable to transfer some of Van's music before I go. And then I looked into the screen and saw your comment. Ive loved Van/ George, ever since i was 3 years old in 1959 ! One of my self made nick names then, was Madam George. Van was George. Other potential names were Boffyflow, and Spike. He said if we got separated, I would know it was George (Van), when i heard someone on the Radio singing "Hard Nose The Highway"! I found Van trying to find me again with his amazing personally meaningful Songs for 1/2 of my lifetime now. Im still lost, but Vans songs helped me to remember when i was very young, when we were closely connected as far back as 1959. No one has ever cared for me so much. And i still dont know how to find my way back home to the one i loved then, and will always love and respect. Im so long lost, lonely and misunderstood by everyone ive known since . Only Van Morrison can verify, what ive remembered to be True. Please help Us find each other again asap ?

Met Van in Portsmouth in 1985 . Went to see him in concert. He was just walking down the street on his own , cool AF Invited me back stage . I knew his guitarist at the time , Arty mc Glynn , comes from Omagh , my home town

We all have our stories. Here is mine. 1980, twenty-five, over weight and tired of life. Inspiration? Van Morrison, wavelength, a doobie each morning & running. I ran & ran & ran. Lost 30 pounds, I don't run any more but I still listen
I am twenty-five and over weight, gained weight in the last two years of no smoking. Life is strange sometimes :D
Haha. One of those holy shit moments. I wish you success in your endevour. It will be hard at first and you will want to give up. The rewards begin when you surpass where you had to give up the day before.
I just love seeing Peewee Ellis on the saxophone and clarinet he's one of my favorite guys I've watched him all these years with Van he may rest in peace he passed away this year one of my favorites
Love this version. Chill factor number one . Thanks Van the Man
Hyde, love this tune to the bone .
When the music across all your body and give you the most beautiful feeling.
Thank you Van and thank you to all that band.
(No music, no life)
Music resonates physicality in your body, at least in a single isolated human being.
Awesome version. Outstanding band. Love how Van noodles on his guitar - it's a prop. It don't matter.
This has been one of my favorites for more than 30 years. Maybe 40.
The man can simply do no wrong. He makes music, MUSIC!!! 🙏🎶😎

I just love the groove. It's like you almost expect the blues Brothers to come flying out when the horn section gets cooking.
When music was song by real musicians who played there own music. Fabulous!!!
Oh Van, your singing about our wavelength! I love you from the bottom of my heart, my dear friend: you send your music - I listen to it - Gonna be a transformation in your heart and soul! May the good Lord bless you with Love and Light wherever you go!
I was at this Montruex performance and then saw him again thus summer in London at Kew Gardens-still great performer.Genius!
Who played guitar . John doesn't tour outside the USA any more. He is up for a Grammy with American Roots Band the Cromatix.
The whole concert is exhilarating
One of the first Van Morrison tunes with High Fidelity Polk Audio Speakers, signaling me to get on his Wavelength, stick to the Best, Van bests the Rest, at least my test, sent me on a bike quest, this Album one of the sets, just had to follow, Irish rogue myself in the States, continued with his Greats, lists of his Songs, Albums, CDs really keeping me on his Wavelength!
Such a beautiful piece. I just love watching him. He seems to absorb every note into his soul💞💞
Agree!!
I agree, so at peace, and his compassion for humanity you feel loved, regardless of your circumstances in life.
I never get tired of listening to Van Morrison ❤ love every song 🎵 he sings❤
One Hell Of An INTRO... 3:28 long and insanely BEAUTIFUL
Out of this world fantastic! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Met Van in Portsmouth in 1985 . Went to see him in concert.
He was just walking down the street on his own , cool AF
Invited me back stage .
I knew his guitarist at the time , Arty mc Glynn , comes from Omagh , my home town
Oh... this is brilliant!! 😊🎶🎵💕💕💕
Astral weeks. Masterpiece. This is great too. Love you Van
I remember hearing this on a juke box in Rota Spain first Med Cruise. I kept playing this over and over. I walked an Irish bar maid home to her flat when the bar closed. Hard to believe that was 40 years ago. Thanks for the memories who posted this.
Yeah I'm impressed AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN!!!!!!!!!😌
Can lives in another world where music is the only language to communicate.! He lives breathes soul. Got to love him
What a great comment I just explained it on a reply to another comment.... Some people just get it
@George Ivan Morrison are you kidding me? Entertained ?? Listening to van on fire is to be transported. Picked up and carried along for the ride.
If this isn’t really van Morrison then I gonna feel a right plonker. If it is then I’m honoured.
One of my favourites ❤♥💕💙😍💖❤♥💕💙😍
This is another magic song from Van the Man for Old Belfast Town

This is a group of top notch professionals at their finest.
Love the way this builds!!
My kids 17, 18 and 20 y/o think van is his own genre of music altogether. One of a kind.
I love the old days & old ways. The brother on the sax smoking a cigarette in between😊🥃 His band mates are always killer bees as well. Thx for posting👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💞
I’ve been allowing this man to guide my soul through his music for years and I always pop in the dvd of this concert when I’m feeling low. But the comment I really want to express is that while I respect and stand awestruck by this band backing Sir Morrison…I always feel like the drummer in the aqua t-shirt cut algebra class to make this gig!…He’s adorable and looks a little awestruck too!❤️😊
This entire show is incredible-- really tight band with Pee Wee Ellis displaying his mastery, throughout. . .
SPECTACULAR.
van the man !!! best version of wavelength yet 1980 live
The first of many Van albums I bought. It was sort of becoming aware of the greatest artist ever.
Incredible performance by Van. His lyrics and melodies will stay with forever
This man I can listen to all day and just sway with his lyrics …. Fabulous
