Last week, on the way from Tucson to Portland, our van broke down in Salt Lake City, Utah, where we were picking up our newest member of the family, Flynn. This week we hung out in Salt Lake, went hiking and running, and waiting for our van to be fixed.

great job guys hard work pays off and you can see all the work that produces moments of joy. Enjoy i am 48 with a 11 and 9 year old, life is different but still awesome . I burned the candle at both edges from 18 to 35 not 1 regret . God Bless

Great soundtrack, you could release 2 midweek vlogs just of Flynn out on his walks with great soundtrack and just some overdubbing with your shared musings of the day.

Great positive exposure for you both during the VR5 (to the IM community as well as potential sponsors). Sponsors like that. Remember to remind them! Good efforts for you both as well. Eric, they put you up against some tough beasts! A good gauge of where you are and where you both need to go! So it's all good for you both!

Hi Guys.. I'm still working over here in the UK and can not convey how much I look forward to Sunday for your videos. The filming is exquisite. The editing is awesome. Your story is interesting. And you both seem so real and down to earth. I never comment on social media or anything...but twice now on your RUclips channel! Flynn is so cute! Recommendation.... look into a Kong leash that has what looks like a bungee cord section on it. It’s a lot more gentle in their necks when they start moving faster than you it gives a lot of flex which is good.

With energetic breeds, if you keep them really active they tend to be easier to manage when you leave them (otherwise they get reckless/bored etc). Having something which smells like you might help, but be prepared to lose it .... he might become a sock/shoe chewer!
You could try taking him for longer walks etc to tire him out? maybe get a ball launcher and get him chasing (and hopefully returning...) balls?
Also once he gets a bit older, you could try taking him out on runs with you? It might take a bit of training to get him not stopping to sniff every few seconds, but might be a good way to keep him busy which fits in with your schedules?

He's actually way better in the van than he is at home..haha He just lays down and sleeps for hours

No I didn't go for it.. In total honesty I know I'd be a fair bit off. Both Sam and Lionel are pure uber cyclists and I need the 3+ minutes I put on them in the swim 😉

Hmmm I don’t think I’ve actually had sun glasses fog while running. Cycling yes, and no I don’t have a great solution. But glasses with little vents in the lenses helps.
