Thanks for the relationship honesty. So important
Instablaster.
Great advice Eric on not taking it personally.
It was personal. He chose the route 😜
This is easily one of your top videos! You hit the technical aspect with the bike, workout, stress, food, and music. Sums up working out lifestyle in a nutshell
Not only great content, but the best music in any vlog. I caught myself bobbing my head to the music while taking a bite of my lunch multiple times through out this vid.
Nice footage with the dog running and the berries. thanks for that.
Seriously 17 minutes passed by i thought i just started the video!!
Love watching you guys way to go Paula you were pushing the pace on those repeats.
Definitely the sickest blackberry montage we’ve ever seen. The only one but we’re sure it’s the sickest
Just something I felt like the world needed.
Absolutely the best videos....look forward to them every Sunday
Really cool vid. Thanks for showing the benefits of a professional bike fit
No problem! Thanks for watching
@@ThatTriathlonLife Are all bike fits like this? What does one like this run?
That was a good one 👍.
Another superb, eclectic vlog Eric, your production skills are first rate. Especially enjoyed the last 6 minutes, the footage foraging for blackberries was priceless, well done! The "bake off" showed elite triathletes are multi-talented. Thank you for 17+minutes of entertainment!
No problem Barry. I was thinking of you as I saw the total length getting up there!
Music on point. And I love that you take your videos seriously, but not yourselves when it comes to being in them. Looks like you all had some good times this past week.
Super content. Your videos literally puts a smile on my face
Another stellar video. Cool bike scenes. Flynn for the win!
#flynnforthewin might have to be a new thing haha
Eric Lagerstrom yes!!!
I simply love your videos recently! greets from Germany, and keep it doing, your videos have become part of my Sunday routine =)
Greetings from Panama! Huge fan of the channel! Front row seat to world class athletes like Paula and Eric is awesome and even better to have a glimpse outside of training and racing is really cool. Huge contribution to the sport, Muchas gracias amigos!
Eric’s soft side came out when composing the shots of Paula baking with the music choice. He’s smitten with her. 😊
Another great video! And so fun to see Chelsea and Joanna! And love that you have links and recipes; I'll try them! May even watch this one again! ❤️
I live in Troutdale, just noticed you on the web, and have really been enjoying your local posts (Troutdale and Corbett Area, Springwater, Timberline, etc.).
I also picked up a tack coming through Corbett a couple of weeks ago. I figured I was not the only one. You make a great case for going tubeless!
Great vid and music as always. (Now with recipes!!!) Thanks also for talking about those relationship struggles....and being real! Here's to a good next week! Cheers!
Best video yet👍🏼 Now we need two a week😁 Keep up the great work👌🏼
haha maybe if I retire from triathlon I could find a way to pull that off 😅
Thank you for sharing the recipes
Our pleasure, hope you like them 👌
So true, it is difficult and in the heat of the moment that is GREAT advice! And I love fresh wild blackberries. So dope.
Great video Eric & Paula!!
Love this video! Great content and music is 🔥
Thank you 🙌
Awesome video as usual.. always amazes me how technical a bike fitting is.. Have a great week ahead!!
Thanks, you too!
Hahaha...I really miss those 6 / 7 hrs ride days and recovery afternoons around Topanga Cannyon with ice cream and cakes! and 5 hrs ride next morning!
You guys are awesome. Such a healthy relationship. Loving the content Eric! Keep it up.
great video! as always
Thanks John
Just gets better and better in content! Can't wait for some gear!
Chill video, enjoyed it
the beats are sick, thanks
Our pleasure, glad you liked them 🤙
My left hand and wrist were always a problem. Switched from Shimano to SRAM and it is now fine. Possibly because hand was always stationary with Shimano and now it is actively used for shifting.
Andrew Applepie! Great video guys. Keep it up.
How awesome to see how to be fitted for a bike. And another great ride... Where can I get some merch?
The music is always on point. As is all the content!
Can’t wait for merch
Next video's title will be: SHE SAID YES (+ QOM domination)
Paula... That mint green is 🔥!!! Love it!
FYI with tubeless.... I got rid of tubeless on my road and tri bike because if you put Co2 in with the sealant it’ll freeze the sealant and cause a wheel imbalance due to the fluid not rolling. Also, if you get a puncture where it doesn’t seal, you have to put in a tube, which requires removing the removable valve stem. Too much work. Until the tech is there like in MTB... clincher.
Same here FWIW. I went tubeless then back to tubes b/c when it doesn't seal, its a wicked pain in the ass
Not me... Tubeless road, tri, cross, and MTB for 3+ years.
It's 10 pm and i'm not supposed to have anymore food before bedtime. Damn it ! Oh that cake definitely wasn't a clafoutis !
Music made me search for Eric Lagerstroms playlists :-)
I love seeing you guys bake/ cook! Also, I'm curious to find out your options on the Garmin situation.
Just doing manual upload w/ usb cord
My wife made the blackberry bread. Lots of sugar but other than that I like the taste of it. Keep the good treats coming.
Is Paula tied in to having "sponsor correct" handlebars? Part of the problem is the Bontrager bars. They are much longer reach than just about any other bar. 93mm reach- So reach to hoods could be shortened by switching bars. The Zipp that you run are 70mm in reach- Zipp also makes a non-aero road bar with the 70mm reach.
As always, the content is on point and lit🔥🔥🔥
Another quality production. Can't wait to see what west hills KOMs you go for.
So far got newberry and mcnamee👍
@@paula_findlay nice! Logie Trail next, perhaps? There's just so much good stuff on either side of Skyline.
Your lucky to get a bike fit. I wanted to get one done and they’re not doing any near me in South Dakota.
Always inspiring 😊
Wild blackberries are the best! What type of frisbee is that for Flynn? Dog specific frisbee?
Yeah it is dog-specific.. It's yellow and foamy and floaty. I don't actually know the make
Was wondering if you could go into a little more detail on the bike fit. Why did moving the seat back and up alleviate having numb hands? Was there something else that needed to be changed as well?
Basically it's just a slight change in how much weight is on the hands. The reduction in the distance to the bars (via shorter stem) also plays a role.
From what I understand (Not a bike fitter but had a similar problem) Essentially reduces the amount of reach (if cause of numbness was pinching of nerves near the neck) and balances weight distribution. With the seat back, your weight moves back as well naturally.
@@ThatTriathlonLife Thanks Eric, I've had the same issue with my Domane for some time now, even after two bike fits. Perhaps a shorter stem would help.
@@ryanspetrey Thanks Ryan, most likely with me is a pinched nerve in my neck, thanks to playing football in high school.
Glad to see you are Blackberry picking, are you not making blackberry & apple pie?
Did anyone else listen to the music and think there was possibly some foreshadowing going on for future episodes?
smit2976 exactly what I was thinking lol
Music is on point
Great videos. Do either of you have any advice for dealing with speed wobble on descent?
Eric you are a heck of a guy/man/boyfriend. You treat the special people in your life better than you treat yourself. That is what men are suppose to do. I'm impressed. Keep it up.
i’m too early
Yum stuff. Great video! You guys were not vegan or something?
Totally can’t take it personally me and my wife can’t even workout together. Well we can swim together but we can’t hardly ever run together lol
After seeing the potential flat tire issue I'm now concidering a set of tubeless wheels.
Nice coffee machine ! What type it is???🤣
Profitec Pro500 ✌️
You just wanted to say " clafoutis" on the vlog!
Haha who wouldn’t!
New to the channel... love it, so not sure about your humor yet I hope who ever asked who would put that there(the nail) wasn't serious? Never heard of anyone doing that intentionally let alone intentionally targeting us cyclists... nails, bolts, and all sorts of stuff fall out of all sorts of things garbage trucks, construction vehicles, the trailer behind my subaru hauling crap to the dump. In PDX maybe a certain group of people are targeting us... if so guess I wont be riding around there anytime soon.
Outside of that an like I say maybe the joke went over my head, love this content!
There have definitely been incidences of “tacking” in more rural areas, on group ride routes. I haven’t heard about one in a couple years, but that’s where the reference came from.
I typically tend to believe people are good, and this was mostly a joke, but I think I’d gotten buzzed by pickup trucks on our local roads a few too many times around when we made this one.
@@ThatTriathlonLife wow, thats a bummer, never have seen that, and we are all rural in E. OR/WA. Yuk!
Being a techie.....thought you were going to review phones:-)
Is that emonda SL 6?
i have numb hands also. so how he fixed it? and also where are the tyres from?
Tires are from ircbike.com. Fixed by shortening distance from saddle to bars and with moving the saddle back so that pushing down on the pedals alleviates some of the pressure on the hands more. That's my understanding at least. Even tiny little changes can instantly fix things like that. Every person is different though, so the same changes might not work for everyone
A whole lota females around you this week Eric, you doing ok? 😄 Need a beer?
All redheads.
Who’s your coach?
I think it's Paulo Sousa
yep.
The fit fix her a another problem. She was riding with her left foot a little to the right. She might had knee issues in the future...
Type of girl you call wifey...... Trying to tell us some future blogs?😉
Family loves your videos, but we had to mute the expletives in the music 😔 Can we keep it clean? You vids are a great tool for teaching a healthy lifestyle.
Yeah sorry about that. We’ll bleep them out
Thanks Paula, my girls (9 and 12) love you - Inspiration!
