Absolutely great video. I used to use canon dslr many years ago, now I have a Nikon and most of time I was confused with the menu, settings etc. This video is very useful for me. Now i just try to imagine that in 2023 anybody make video like this. Thanks a lot. Great job.
It can be. Most of it is because of the now great flexibility you have. It' becomes a matter of practice once you learn what the controls are and what they do. With the number of tutorials on RUclips, you'll have no problem learning. It will take some time however. Good Luck.
I put my D80 away long ago. Maybe I'll get it out and try some new things. I didn't know much about it then and am more intrigued in my older years. Thanks for a well made and informative video.

I would have liked this presentation when I bought one of these back in 2006. My camera sat on the shelf for a few years because of a dead battery. Bought a new everyready and now i get an err and it doesnt like the sandisk 8GB card that worked perfect before the old original nikon battery died. I dont want to put an more money in to this antiquated camera. But much like myself it still is usefull.
Just bought my Nikon d80 for $80 that included all extra purchases from Amazon. Guess you can say my friend sold it to me for $40 bucks. He's a photographer so he had no use for it any more. Thanks for the video upload!
O think this is the best tutorial video I've seen. Funny enough I have just purchased a reconditioned D80. I'm interested in using a CCD sensor and the D80 was cheaper than a Leica M9. The video is so well presented the camera discussed could be any camera. So just thanks for your super presentation.
Can someone please help me! I have increased the shutter speed to 1000 because I am taking pictures of a horse jumping and I want to get a good freezes shot. My aperture is f4 and my iOS is 200. I took a bunch of shots in my lighten house and the pictures are so dark it just pitch black. I decrease the shutter speed and it made it better but still dark as. I was fiddling with it for a bit and the pictures were either light with a slow shutter speed or dark with a fast shutter speed. (Please ignore my RUclips name i was really young) can someone please help me?
What is it with americans that when they get in front a camera, all purpose of the exercise or video description goes straight out the window? I made it as a far as his microwaved muesli cooking class. Is the other hour and a half worth it?

I had bought the D80 when it first came out, it did produce amazing colors. i even took it to a few of my military deployments.
one of the most thorough videos on the d80 - well done!
I have had one since the first month it was released.
Here, in December 2014, I still have it.
It's an outstanding camera... well ahead of it's time.
Thank you for this, i just got this and your post was very reassuring. I am a bit overwhelmed i must say.
