Agreed always an empty bottle and some poo paper .. but one accessory I have that I think all fishos should have is a small first aid kit.. may never need it but it’s good to have it cos one there are good for using in an emergency for injury but a lot of the other items are very useful if you ever find yourself stranded you can create shelter and fire from a first aid kit… I also like to run a chair bag to put a rain cover or a jumper and such in case weather changes .. we’re all guilt of that go out on a nice day weather changes get caught in the cold or rain

Well done, another entertaining but also very educational video 😁 One thing I would recommend under footware is NRS Boundry Shoes or something similar for the colder seasons, especially up north. They are warm, keep water out and can be worn in the water to launch your kayak etc.

Great list. Love it. I use the Hobie gear keeper. They hold up well in the saltwater that I fish. My Scissors are kastking line Scissors, I love the sheath that they come with, I attach it directly to my vest or bag. Usually I wear dive boots when I am on the kayak, great in cold weather, but not easy to take off. Thanks so much for the video! You guys do an awesome job!

Great list. Kayaked on a river for the first time last year and had to borrow a measuring board. Bought for this year’s trip but was ruing not having a net. I lost fish and broke off trying to boat flip. Pretty flippin’ frustrating. Thankfully, I was able to land a 17” smallmouth on my last cast, so some of the bitterness of the trip disappeared, but I’m definitely buying one for next year 😂. Thanks for the content.

Thoughts on inflatable PFDs? No storage, but they are pretty slim, comfortable, and don't impede on casting or anything...

@@aaanglers Thanks guys. Was thinking I could clip nips and pliers to it and then the phone and rest goes in cup holder, under seat, or crate depending on how often I need it... but you guys have a lot more needs with camera equipment as well. Will have to consider the options you mentioned now as well... I'm not as worried about the safety as I am about the law. I fish small lakes/ponds, am a good swimmer and with the inflatable I figure I'd wear it for my full 6-12 hour fishing days instead of being tempted to dump it when I get hot or it ride up.

In reference to the "large mouth Gatorade bottle" tip. I saw a video where this guy used a hose with a balloon. One end attached to the hose with a rubber band, the hose put over the side or down a scupper plug hole, and he cut the other end of the balloon off to put around his "thang" when he needed to relieve himself....

My old fishing buddy had one of those mini-oars (not worth its weight, IMO) - he also had a PA14, so why waste weight and room on a full size paddle in a barge that cannot be paddled (not a PA fan, obviously)!!! I would not leave the dock without a full sized paddle, however, I have always fished from paddle worthy yaks (except my PA12 mistake)! Of course, I pulled him back twice with my propel drive almost 2 miles from the fishing spot when his mirage drive failed! Living in SE Louisiana, we accumulate plastic "Mardi Gras" cups. They make a great "pee" cup in the kayak. One trip I forgot the "pee" cup and found a floating Gatorade bottle in the bayou! My choice of preferred "pee" cups are those thrown by local politicians who love to ride in parades throwing their political ads on a plastic cup - I love peeing in those cups! Good video - looking into those Mocs, now!
