Very simple way of live streaming/Recording your DJ sets straight from your mixer to your phone with quality audio! This can be done with all DDJs and CDJs that have a Master Output.
I never mentioned in the video that this is also a good way to record your DJ sets with great audio.

I've set it up exactly the same and not getting any sound?
Just noticed you said you gotta have lead to the speakers as well. I'm using krk monitors so what lead do I need? Is it a normal RCA to jack as that will be in unbalanced port on speakers or I can use the balanced. Also I for the speakers is that the mono connection jack. Cheers

Update: I got told the C4 cable works with Irig2, wrong .. I took the C4 cable which for external microphone like my rode boom mic and replaced with the Irig2 insert the Irig2 headphone Jack into the Apple lighting cable to my iPhone XS it works..I did my male connection to stereo output.. connecting that to RCA red & white from the master output, and thought this impossible for a basic Nurmark controller .. this theory works for any size controller, update you how get on with the booth output & microphone 🎙, so far I have actually achieved what what I wanted to achieve so can play my music through the iPhone without disturbing neighbours late at night especially after 10pm

I just bought iRIG2 for my XDJ RX2. My master out rca cable goes from my decks directly to my speakers. I have an xlr master out also. I have all the right cables so how do i get sound out if i already have my master out rca going to my speakers? Can i use Aux? Or should i just buy xlr cables for master out and use the rca master out for my iRig2?

Hi mate thank you so much! So the irig 1 should work in the same I believe all that’s difference is that there is no output to go to your speakers from the irig. However you could easily get around this with something like a head phone splitter I reckon.
Having not tested I cannot say for certain however I see no reason for it not to work 👊🏻 hope that made some sense

Yo! I’ve got the same setup and have been wondering if there’s an adapter that will allow me to charge and also use this irig.
I bought one off amazon but it doesn’t recognize the irig as a microphone
ParkerWise sadly if your using iPhone you can’t do both.
If you’ve done the set up the same way I show in the video then two things to check. Your 6.5mm Jack is stereo and has two black stripes like is show in the video.
Second thing is make sure your irig is set to thru and not FX

I believe it should as I can’t see any reason for it not to work. Double check that your adapter is stereo (two black rings if I remember correctly) that goes from your decks to irig. Failing this double check your irig is on thru and not fx and that your sound is up. If still not working drop me a message on insta and will try help you there in more depth 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Swear I’ve done everything right and it’s still not working ! :( I’ve got a traktor mk3 S2 controller with rca to jack cable running through to the 1/4 jack converter into the irig - all stereo! And then into my iPhone. Any ideas please? My speakers are working fine it’s just my phone isn’t picking anything up when I go on camera app to record

Sometimes why Irigs don't work is because you need mobile device cables that are compatible with the i rig
The cables r made by irig could iline rca cable compatible with mobile devices

That is the aim of this set up. Your phone will only pick up the audio coming from the Irig into your phone and no background audio.

How does this work for Mixcloud Live? I understand Facebook live but not Mixcloud live set up?
Personally I don’t use mixcloud live however if it’s an app on your phone and works the same way Facebook live does then when you go live with the irig plugged into that’s the only audio your steam will pick up

If the rca goes into the irig.. how can my speakers be connected to the controller too? Because my rca goes into my speakers
On the other side of the irig (watch till the end of the video) there is another 7mm Jack you just reverse the rca setup from your decks to irig through irig to speakers. I hope that made sense ✌🏻

Sadly not as your phone needs something to tell it to pick up the audio otherwise it will record audio as normal. If you have booth output you can with one of these cables RØDE SC4 iPhone Accessory - Black www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00L6C8PN0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_mogbFb4T7GN2A you plug that on the end of the aux (by aux I’m assuming you mean 2rca cables from your decks to aux) and then into your phone. I believe it’s that simple however I don’t have a booth output on hand to test this so I can’t guarantee this will work.

So just like I do in the video - Be sure to have an rca cable with an aux jack on the other end - then they go straight from your master output into the irig. Then you plug the irig straight into your phone ✌🏻

That’s not true I have rca cables coming out from my Dj controller with 1/4 stereo double lines to irig2 and irig2 to iPhone and when I go live on Instagram there’s no music, so I tried rca to 1/4 single line mono it works fine I can hear the music please explain that?

Enrique Anguiano Hi bro! Just yesterday I bought an irig 2 and I was testing it. I had 2 issues with the output to the speakers:
1. When I use a mono adapter and output the audio to the speakers, there is a lot of static.
2. When I use a stereo jack and output the audio to the speakers, only one of them sounds.
Is there a way to use stereo sound to the speakers or make them both play?

Will try help the best I can! Am a little confused at the question. So assuming you’ve got the irig plugged into your decks the going to your phone (unsure what ipcam is but I assume it’s an app) if the volume from your decks is coming through to your phone when you record on your camera it should also come through on the app. As where your phone would normally listen for noise it is now only hearing your irig 2. Am a little confused on the win 10 bit? Are you then trying to link the phone recording up to obs on laptop?

Lyndon Bharath No worries at all, am glad you reached out! So if you connect up your irig to your decks like I show in the video. plug it into your phone and go onto your camera and do a quick test recording. Listen back to the recording and if you can only hear music coming from the recording then your all set on the phone to hit live with the irig plugged in and it will only pick up noise from the irig.
Sadly I don’t use obs so my knowledge is pretty vague on it.
Are you then trying to hook your camera up to obs with the sound? If so that’s a different matter as I think the recording will link however I believe you’ll need to separately link the sound up to obs but I may be wrong. Will look into how to do it and hopefully get back to you with an idea.

You can use soundcloud streamed music it shouldn’t be affected the irig
How can you connect it to the amplifier/speaker
- 6mm = 6.35mm - Next to where you plug your irig into your phone there is another 6mm Input. All you do is Reverse the process of what I did going from deck to I rig and go from I rig to speaker/amplifier. So 6mm jack in irig then a aux to rca split (or whatever your speakers take) as long as you can get your speakers hooked up to a 6mm jack or 6mm adapter then you’ll be fine to hook em into the irig - carful as you’ll need a mono 6.35mm Jack so make sure it’s not stereo -

David Brown It is a good question and I can see why’d you’d ask. sadly i wish it was that simple as your phone needs something to tell it to record from an input. As just like when you have headphones plugged in to your phone it will record normal sound from your camera - unless the headphones have a mic built in then you’ll hear it from the mic - the irig is acting as a microphone and taking the sound it hears and sending them to your phone. just like when you have a mic in your headphones it’ll no longer use your cameras audio but the mic input.

@@MedicineDNB To further elaborate on that, if the aux output has 1 or 2 rings it means that it is stereo or mono. When the aux has three rings on it, is also sends microphone signals. Therefore if you put in a RCA to aux into your phone it will do nothing. If you put a iRig 2 or Rode SC4 (TRS (2 rings) to TRRS (3 rings)) at the end of the RCA to aux cable the device will convert the signal to also contain a microphone signal. Your mobile phone will then pickup your iPhone. The Rode SC4 is about 7 bucks, but doesn't let you tune the volume, so you have to do it in your master on the turntables. The iRig 2 is about 30 bucks and does let you turn the volume, but has no way of telling that the sound is clipping. Then you have something like the Roland Go-Mixer, which is around 70 bucks, that let's you see, if the sound is too loud and clipping.

@@piyushnigammusic I recommend the iRig2. However since the reaction is from a year ago I went with a different setup to livestream my DJ mixes. For the camera I use iRuin webcam with the iruin app on my smartphone. This let's me use my phone as a webcam in OBS streaming software. For my audio I use a DDJ ergo as DJ mixer. For my output I use a RCA cable to XLR cable. The RCA goes on the output of my DDJ and the XLR goes into my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4. This soundcard has two XLR input channels. Both channels are mono, but the RCA cable have the left and right channel on one cable so you get the left channel as mono input and then also the right channel as mono input. When using OBS streaming software you can choose to use both mono channels as left and right channel and create stereo again.
I already had the scarlett 2i4, so in the end this was the cheapest option for me, instead of the iRig2. However setting up your DJ gear to livestream is still pretty complex since everyone uses a different setup.
