It amazes me how hard it is to find ty videos on dnb that just talk through the 'process' in a chill fun way. I do my music theory and track breakdowns as I need to, but most of the time I just need to see someone 'doing' the thing to get a vibe for where I'm at, so thank you. Also that look when the tracks work is priceless! Thanks.
Hey man these are exactly what I've been after, but do you think you'll ever do some more break downs and explanation with a waveform for us to view aswell. It's the next best thing than jumping on and doing it yourself... But when your in the car otw to work it's a bit tough haha. Cheers from Down Under!
😂😂 yeah I wouldn’t advise doing it in the car focus on the road 😆 but for sure I’ll break more track down in the future as my next how to video I have scheduled is showing how I go drop to drop to drop so easily 👊🏻
Hi mate apologies for taking so long to respond to this comment. I shall be covering eqs more in a future how to video. As I intend on re doing all the video on the channel and making it into somewhat of a course
I devote a couple hours a week to searching for new tunes by checkin my fav artists/searching for new artists Beatport is also really good for finding new tunes is will usually give you a rough idea of what tracks are popping currently. Hope that helped in some way bro
The channel levels refer to the volume levels on your decks. For example next to your volume fader/EQs you should have a stream of LEDs ascending from green to orange and then to red. It refers to how loud your music is playing out the master from the decks. For example if you record a mix with the LED/channel level in the red it will sound overly loud and muffled. However keeping it amber/ green will prevent this from happening. Hope that made some sense. Apologies for not point it out in the video!
Unfortunately there’s not much you can do about it if the drums are clashing mate you just have to find a new tune that works. However 90% of the time the drums shouldn’t clash and you should be good to go 👊🏻
@@MedicineDNB so when it comes to mixing things like audiomission and ego trippin I find that ego tripping has a drum that causes train wreck this was from one of your older/newer vid I am trying to mix a song called tartarriddim and clicking cuffs and it creates the same problem
@@MedicineDNB I have changed software and managed to put my eqs to sharp so I can stop the clacking of the drum but now I face the problem of 175 bpm wave forms moving faster then 87.5 and it is confusing cuz I’m used to rekord box did you know a way to stop this ?

I appreciate that mate. I do mix of the stuff for example I also have lots of Jump up mix’s in the channel. This video in particular was more focused on rollers due to heavier demand for rollers in the how to videos at the time 👌🏻
You would use the high eq when the high hats from the two tracks being to over power each other as you’ll end up with to much high end and it can begin to sound tinny. Hope that helps 👊🏻
That face at 9:30 just shows the amazing feeling dnb gives us and it's just awesome how music can have that impact on us.
Great guide mate 10/10
Couldn’t have said it better! 🙌🏻😂♥️ thank you bro

Great video
Can you pls make a tutorial about backspins?
Hey matt gr8 video but could you do an indepth video on why dj's are constantly using eq's?

@@MedicineDNB thats great to hear matt keep it up
What setting shows the cue points at 1/4, 1/2, 1,2 ,4 etc. I don't think I've seen that. I'm using Pioneer DDJ SB3
Yo WHAT is that My Life Smooth track?? I know it samples Pepper Mashay but I cannot find the actual dnb mix no matter where I look
I fucking love you
How do you find new and unique drum and bass songs to mix?
I devote a couple hours a week to searching for new tunes by checkin my fav artists/searching for new artists
Beatport is also really good for finding new tunes is will usually give you a rough idea of what tracks are popping currently.
Hope that helped in some way bro
Also how do you get the music do you download of sound cloud?
I buy it all off a website called beatport
where do you get these onesies man
the best (or worse depending on how your looking at this) is yet to come 😂
What’s Chanel level and why shouldn’t it be in red?

So say if you have 2 songs and the drum on one of the clashes with the other how do you sort that out
Also what was the rollers tune at the end not the electric one bro

Track in question I believe it called cut loose by gerra & stone 👊🏻

Why don’t you want channel levels in the red and how do you fix it?

Shouldn’t play 2 bass lines at the same time and that red line tho😅
your mixing is good but you're way too focussed on rollers man, try some more different stuff
