I dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost the password. I love any help you can give me
@Adrien Caleb i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Great video... Small suggestion though... Don't use the crossfader for mixing... Keep it in center or thru mode and use the line faders... You have much better control. Crossfader should primarily be used for scratching and quick dropping out...
A great tutorial, thank you! Maybe you could do a follow up dedicating more time to explain how you cue up tracks, sync them up, what parts you play and when you transition and so on.
Sooo, I came across your video because after years of dj'ing many genres from house to hardcore terror, I've always wanted to have explained to me the basics of mixing DnB. All I can say is FKIN THANKS BRO!!!!!!!!!!🍻🤘🏻🇺🇸🤘🏻😎😎
Brilliant, I'm glad the video tutorial helped you out. Let me know if you have any questions or ideas for other videos that I can help you out with, D&B or DJing etc?
Hi Levi. Awesome!, great to hear. There's a few tutorials on the channel already. Are there any specific tips or advice that you'd like to learn from related to your DDJ-400 or DJing in general? Check out the Free eBook I've recently put on my website, there's a beginners DJ checklist to follow to help you along your DJing journey if you're just starting out. Thanks, Dan (Beatmatch Guru)
@@BeatmatchGuru so when mixing and needing to move up the bpms so the transition to the next song can be better. It doesn’t let me move the bpms up or down unless I increase it or decrease it to its max or lowest point. Don’t know if that makes sense 😂
@@Levi55921 Is the SYNC KEY pressed on? I've noticed that sometimes plays around with the tempo. OR try clicking on the symbol 'MT' so that it's grey instead of red. This stands for Master Tempo. Hope that helps :)
What about the pioneering sounds of Kasra's Critical label or just a foghorn with some snares like Serum circa 2018. Ye there's so many sub genres in dnb. God I love it 🤟👽👍
i hope you see thi. i was just wonderingg what that lighting thing is under the track as im looking to find a way to automate lights to a song and that looks like that could be a way
For 4×4 beat 01timewarp timestamp in your this RUclips video 00:05:56min/sec-00:06:36min/sec what software you use in your this RUclips video to make the beat For 4×4 beat 01timewarp?.
Hey John-T_Smith, Yeah it's more of a preference really. I use the channel faders in other genres such as Garage for cutting between tracks. To be honest it's probably just a habitual thing. The choice is yours really.
Quick tip as a D&B producer and DJ, ignore the kicks when beatmatching - lock those snares in!

you are explaining everything nicely BUT I would love to hear more example (:
Hey 👋 consider it done. Will be getting onto some dnb mixes soon

Consider it done! will create a part 2 version of this video at some point soon, thanks for the suggestion :)
@@BeatmatchGuru thank you!!
I once mixed DJ zinc-ska with nas - New York state of mind in a bar. It was fun. On vinyl.
haha - "on vinyl"
Had to say it
brilliant intro by someone who really understands their craft
Thank you for your kind words
Jungle can be very difficult considering all the different break patterns.
Yeah Im struggling with this too

That's an amazing comment, really appreciate that you know! Take it easy. Enjoy mixing DnB!
1:35 that's called neurofunk
Industrial metal can also fit the bill
It would be nice if you 'd show how to practically do it.
Such a great video. Thank you. This has really helped me. I can’t wait to watch some more!

What an amazing lesson I’m learning to mix DNB this was awesome : )
Shadow boxing good to mix easy
We wouldn’t have dark d n b without Ed rush, optical .
Good informative video for people starting out in the scene.
Thank you! I have that exact controller and rekordbox so your channel is going to be super helpful for a learning beginner!

What about Neurofunk?
Very good tutorial
It's the false drops that seem to catch me out when trying to match the phrasing, especially with unfamiliar tracks
i hope you see thi. i was just wonderingg what that lighting thing is under the track as im looking to find a way to automate lights to a song and that looks like that could be a way
Heya, which part of the video do you mean?
@@BeatmatchGuru around 9:30 there's a lighting thing under the track I was curious to what that is

Ableton is the software 😀
Snares most important watch those snares
Completely agree
Would mefjus be considered neurofunk?
Heya - Yes Mefjus is Neurofunk, similar artists include Noisia, Phace, Enei, Misanthrop to name a few :)
@1:50 its called neuro/neurofunk my dude
Cheers mate 👍lol grotty bassline dnb as standard
dark and grotty
Why the use of the cross fader and not the volume faders? Is just your preference or a drum n bass wide transition? .

Can be more subtile when you wanna cut or bring in another track. More smooth
Can I get the names of the dark side/tecky djs in the comments so I can copy and paste
I have so many questions to ask. And to clear doubts. Anyone here to help me ? Please 😢
You left out neurofunk
What software do you use?
Hey Fin
I use Rekordbox on the DDJ-400 Pioneer Controller, and I also use Serato on my DVS turntable setup too.
@@BeatmatchGuru thanks
💘
fell asleep 3 times
Eatbrain!!!
9:59 that's fucking red mate
hmmm no might be orange yeah
yeah my bad that's orange mate
but not really bright orange yk, more like a reddish orange
You talk like me all the info is there it just doesn’t flow out your mouth very well 😅 great vid
Love it 😊 usually jacked on coffee, maybe cutting back might help me out haha.
You forgot UKF Drum and Bass
Just to save someone else time: this tutorial is for DJs not producers. It is not about how to mix a DnB track in a DAW.
I don't know about you but I think dnb is the easiest genre to DJ :p
I came here for dab mixing tutorial not a lesson on what dub is wtf
