Can you make a mixing tutorial please. First vid was really helpful 👍🏻
Will do, it's in the works. Next up will be beatmatching and then after that will be one on mixing/eq/blending & fading etc.
yo, unfortunately haven't had a chance to make any vids lately due to work so i've decided to offer some free online lessons once a month as an alternative. can check it out on my website if interested and if time/day doesn't work, let me know

You've earned a sub and thank you for the concise explanation, this video is really helpful and looking forward to more
Cheers mate, glad you found it helpful! Is there anything in particular you'd like to see in future videos?
@@kaiyosonics well as I'm still a beginner less than a month (currently using DDJ200 w/ WeDJ mixing old school D&B from 95-99, I'm fully set on moving up to the DDJ400 w/ Recordbox later in the year when I get a good enough laptop) with regards to videos maybe these would be good not only for myself but also for other viewers
1) the pros and cons of the different styles of D&B in terms of mixing for beginners.
2) what should a beginner be able to successfully and consistently do before becoming or being regarded as an intermediate.
3) having fun mixing, staying motivated and not feeling under pressure to achieve what others are capable of doing.
4) experimentation with different mixing styles, using the eq to your advantage and how to recover from a mix gone wrong without giving up.
Hopefully these made sense and gives you some ideas for good content but ultimately whatever you do videos on I'm certain they'll be helpful to me at my stage regardless of what they are on
@@Paul_Davies cheers for the suggestions mate, I'm planning on doing an initial series covering all the essentials to give everyone a solid foundation to work with then I'll look at branching out into more specific topics afterwards so I'll add these ideas to the list!

Where's the other tutorial video?? This has just explained so much and made everything make sense!
Unfortunately with running DJ lessons and also working full time, I haven't had a chance to record any more videos yet. I'm working on an ebook atm and then will be turning all that content into videos and an online course. So hoping to get more videos out this year!
@@kaiyosonics bro, I´d be so glad to see more stuff from you. This video was very well explained. I´d be interested in learning from you about which parts of the song to mix with, where to put cues to mix in/out and so on.
@@Battlegurke apologies for the lack of videos man, have been struggling to find the time. I'm hoping to have a course up and some more vids on RUclips by the end of the year. Will definitely be covering the things you mentioned.
Interesting..
Iven that I was mixing mostly dnb for the past years, I haven't knew some of this stuff, i just feel them. Its just that this guys explained them so well in so short time, respect.
Bought your book :) and it’s a pity there’re no more videos, since the way to tell about the sense of what’s going on in the track is really unique ❤
Thank you, appreciate that! My goal is to create an online course this year so will be plenty of videos coming 🙂
@@kaiyosonics The only course I’ll genuinely invest in
@@emuexport7107 thank you! will let you know when it's available, might not be until the second half of the year, but I'm thinking of offering an early access option at a discounted price when I have the basics up, and then those people who buy will retain access to the full course and all future content at no extra charge when it's available
Do you do 1:1 teachings?? I’m based in Sydney and looking for tutors
Yeah I do do 1:1 lessons, I'm based in London though. I'm from syd and will actually be back for a little bit in may, or I can also do online. Just depends if you're looking for in person lessons though and something a bit sooner?
I was able to mix years ago, sold my Technics, got some Stantons due to budget after 6/7 year's, just getting back into it at 50 lol, I tend to listen to the speed rather than count beats, it confuses me lol
yeah counting isn't for everyone, whatever works for you! you don't really need to count beats as you get more familiar with the music anyway
Can you do this for Dubstep and other genres in Electronic music?
@@innerg_92 I'll add it to the list for sure, but tbh I'm working on creating a course atm so it might be a while before I get around to it
@@kaiyosonics Awesome! Very excited and thank you so much for the great tutorial.
@@innerg_92 no worries, glad you liked it!
