Hey Phil, it would be great to do a video on streaming via OBS. Most laptops these days can handlie running that in the background while using your mixing software of choice. This negates the need for all those cables, since the audio is already being fed in to your laptop. You can use an app like iVCam to then use your phone/tablet to feed the video in to OBS. It's actually quite simple once you set it up a few times.
Irig 1 did good til it wore out. Now got Irig2 and an irig stream solo. Both seems the Bass is distorted bad. Even w gain on low. When on TikTok stream , Any advice ?? Thx 🙏
If you're working with a controller with a master out and a booth out like a DDJ SZ2 would you still benefit from an external soundcard, or would you be better off using the booth out to go directly into the phone for livestreaming?
I know I am late, but I tried the TRRS trick and and did not work all that well.. It did give me the greater audio quality compared to letting the device mic pick up, but I did also notice another issue when I played the stream back later. Not sure if it was my phone doing this or not, but if I got a part in the song that was just vocals, the volume cranked up way louder until the instrumentals came back in. Then it slowly faded back down. Not sure if this was heard during the stream, but I got it after the fact. Again, it may have just been my phone. I was using a Samsung Galaxy S10 at the time. I now have an S21, but am trying to now use OBS and all that fun stuff.

@@clemsonleon4204 hey there how are you connecting to your laptop from your audio mixer? In the obs software you need to click on the plus symbol and select audio capture ,use the drown box and you will see your mixer ,then select and you audio will be assigned.
@@craigwinstanley2146 I have a DJM750MK2 and I'm connecting it to the PC via USB, I use the left port (USB B) to my computer (USB A). The mixer has also A to A (The classical port for the Apple users), but havent a cable for that. If I add my mixer as audio input and I play a track on my xdj, on my computer is no sound. Same for audio output. I have also an Android phone, so I cant use DJMrec. I tried some things... :(
Clemens Mog have you tried rca to I rig and then I rig to pc via usb ? Tried this as my controller doesn’t have a usb out and I get no signal levels at all from controller into I rig .. ant tips ?
When using the headphone input on your phone, you can use the headphone output on your laptop. Just setup your software to route to both your controller and internal sound card. That way you can have a stable level on your recordings and blast your speakers

I'm using an SC3 too and I'm not having any joy, I'm picking up bedroom noise also well as the audio, I thought that was it's purpose unless there is something else needs done in the settings?
@@rockinstuff I'm a complete idiot and bought one of these instead of the sc4 recently. Just didnt look properly. I'm pretty sure its used for something else. Will just have to wait for the sc4 to come.

Hi Phil, I have a DJM900 nexus mixer with a digital booth out and built in sound card - would I still need an audio interface to achieve decent sound? Booth out I’m hoping to run 2x jack (6.35) to single 3.5 jack & then TRS to TRRS and finally 3.5mm to lightning adaptor, I assume this set up would be in mono?
You should be able tro just plug it in digitally to your computer and "see" the sound card as an input, so no need for audio cable at all as far as getting the audio into your styreaming computer is concerned.
Does the iRig pick up the sound of your voice? Would I need a mic to speak into when using the interface? An interface that needs a driver installed wouldn't work on tablets and Iphones I assume. I'm guessing the iRig is a specialized plug and play product for that type of technology?
I bought everything you talked about for the first method. I have exactly the same setup as you but with a different MIDI controller and speakers. I use: - Traktor software - Traktor Kontrol S2 MK2 (MIDI controller) - External speakers - iPhone 6S (with headphone socket) When I set everything up and plug the TRRS to TRS (SC4) into my iPhone and I start a track in Traktor, everything works and my iPhone records the sound when I test it with my camera app. But it also records every other sound on the background just like it does with a normal recording. Do both methods not work for Traktor? If so, which program can I then use to mix and have a clean music-only sound sent to my iPhone stream later on? Thanks in advance!
So, to summarize, everything works but the function of the TRRS to TRS (SC4), sending the audio signal from my midi controller / Traktor software to my iPhone with no other external sounds like conversations on the background etc, does not seem to work..
That's strange it should work with the 6S, have you tried it with any other app other than the camera app? The software won't have any effect on this working or not

I use the DJM REC app with my iPhone 7 and DJM750mk2 and my lighting cable. Also have disputed copyright flags from Facebook and they eventually get cleared under fair usage as it’s a DJ set...plus I have a ProDub license for using digital music for performance
Great vid... I have an i-rig which essential does the same thing to get the audio into a phone / iPad. Question... the input into a phone etc is mono, fine. But you are taking both L and R outputs from your source. Are they mixed into mono or are you only sending the L ‘OR’ R channel into the device?
Great vid! I'm currently just using rca cables from pioneer Rx2 , into amp with wire in speakers , and going live on FB via iPad ... the mic sound is terrible when I listen back.....can irig interface go between rx2 and amp , as well as into iPad for quality streaming audio?

We have 4 Alpha DSLRS, using the kit 16-50 on two of them, Sony Prime 35mm on one, a Sigma Prime 30mm on another, and the Sony 20mm pancake lens on the fourth. We also have a telephoto and a wide angle for when we need them.

Great vid! I picked up all the recommended products (TRS-TRRS, 3.5mm to 2-male RCA) but still the iPhone records with the built-in mic. I use a Pioneer DJM 600. I tried running the lines from Master out, booth monitor and REC out. What am I missing?
Potentially nothing, this is a hack and doesn't work for everyone (thankfully it's cheap to try), something like the iRig Stream (method 2) is going to be the solution
I had this same issue with an iPhone. Tried it with an Android device and it worked fine. Mojaxx also has a video where he says he tried this on an older iPhone (5s) and it worked.
Using the Sc4 adaptor to iPhone works for me but the audio is really poor quality, tried using both my controller and laptop as the outputs respectively and both the same outcome, any suggestions? Thanks for your videos, very helpful :)

I'm using traktor audio 6 with technics 1200s. Brought myself the sc4 adapter to up the sound qaulity but it sounds extremely distorted. Any tips on what I can do to resolve this problem my friend. Sc4 adapter is connected to phono to mini jack. Iv come out of one of the mixer main out and also tried coming out of the traktor divise... Help!!! 👌🏽 Great video and discriptions 🙏🏽
Turn the output level down low on the output that is connected ot the SC4. BUT... the better way it to use something like Loopback (Mac) or VB-Audio Cable (windows) to "hijack" the audio from the Audio 6 directly inside the laptop, meaning you don't need an input cable.

UPDATE: A workaround for anyone trying to use an external soundcard like a Scarlett 2i2 - You can route your mixer audio into your USB audio interface. Then use something like ableton or garage band to set up a channel with the input as the AI, and the output as your built-in speakers/headphone jack. Then plug in a TRRS cable into the headphone jack and into your phone. This also works with a regular Apple lightning adapter, and there is minimal lag. Probably a ton of other ways to utilize the headphone jack for this purpose, like if you're using a controller or maybe using a usb connection to a mixer. All I had to buy for this setup was the TRRS cable, which are available on amazon. Most other stuff like Stream mixers, even the TRRS adapters, are getting tough to get. Happy streaming!
If it’s going into the computer from the mixer. Why can’t you select that as a source of audio & stream direct from the computer? Instead of going back out & in?
What audio interface can match the gain levels between left and right channels, WITHOUT sending a test tone signal and having to match by eye through my DAW? Such a pain in the ass. Does Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen Control software allow this?
Hi I have tried the 1st option with a Allen and Heath Qu series desk/Interface into an iPhone 11 and it’s hit and miss though it works with the output levels set correctly. What I would like to do is try the 2nd option via a USB B to lightening, however the A&H QU outputs 18 tracks simultaneously ( 16+ stereo out via usb) would this work presuming I can get a Lightening to USB B. This would be used live live performance instruments as opposed to DJ.

I've actually just bought a numark DJ2go2 mixer and downloaded serato lite as I have bugger all else to do at home.... I'm on lockdown with my mum and son...... been a raver since the nineties and always fancied giving it a go.... cost me 45 quid on ebay and i've already set my software up with 1000 tunes within dnb and old skool genre. luckily there are loads of tutorials on the basics with that mixer on here and i've learned so much by just watching youtube. hoping in six months by the time life starts to resume that my skills will be brilliant.... LOL
Yeah I’m afraid can’t get it to work with iPhone X or iPhone 6s+ so back to the very old iPhone 5s for me the camera isn’t great but it will do I guess. Any other solutions preferably non expensive ones like £20
Not sure what you're asking. The point of an audio interface is to convert an analogue signal to a digital signal so no, once you've done that, you can;t use an analogue cable to pass that signal to the host device. Unless I'm not quite understanding you?
Hi Phil, I have a ddj rr with both a master and booth outputs, but unfortunately no audio seems to be coming out out of the second.. I have connected master to an amp and from the amp's rec output i use an irig 2 to my android. This is the only way i can get audio, though its really low quality. How can i stream like the pros ?

Please help, i have a DJM900 mixer and i want to livestream from my laptop using OBS. I tried to plugin a TRS cable in to my microphone input of my laptop. I get a very underwater sounding audio signal. Is this because i do not use the TRRS adapter to get the correct sound? When i connected a USB A to USB B to cable i still got this underwatering sound. Do i need to buy an external audio interface to get the signal from my mixer to my laptop in stereo to capture clear soudn or does the DJM900 mixer already have a audio interface build in?
hey, in the other video you said to buy a Rode sc4 and I did. My phone doesnt do anything with it. Now you are saying to get a TRRS to TRS cable, but Rode sc4 is a TRS to TRRRS adapter. So what am i not understanding?

One thing to mention though is that you can send a perfect live audio/video stream out from the host site using a stable wired connection but variables at the recipient sites could deteriorate listening/viewing experience
My audio interface of choice is the zoom H6 best quality ever and you can also record with it and the unit is portable and works on 4AA batteries if choose ( love it)

I have Traktor 3 on pc and using Houseparty streaming through my iPad. I am also using Traktor Audio 10 and my mixer is Pioneer DJM-600. I have Rode SC4 adapter but struggling to find what connections I should be using with my Rode SC4. Sound coming from monitor or master from my mixer or from Traktor Audio 10?
You'd just need an adapter to connect the SC4 to your phone but it sounds like it's not working for a lot of people doing it that way, method two (iRig Stream) would be a better option
Great Video. I was looking at the IRig2 and was wondering if this will work as well for going live? There seems to be little to no difference between the IRig Stream and the IRig 2 is actually newer and half the price.
That is also something i am questioning. I currently use the irig 2 , the audio is better than using the mobile's mic, though not good enough like the pros, making people leave my streams. My question is will the irig stream sound like the pros or not? Its a lot of money to throw away
@@Galaxylight78 I am in the league as you, The irig 2 sounds a bit off, it’s way better than the phone mic but I don’t find it to be as good as other streamers. The irig stream can do stereo output, but my concern is once live on fb etc... will it only support mono? As I think the irig 2 is mono and that’s why the sound isn’t great.

Yes but you may struggle to get streaming software working on the same iPad as djay Pro - I have neve trired this so can't comment, would love to know how you get on!
Hi Phil! The option 1 didn't work with my setup: Windows10 Dell Laptop, DDJ800, sc4 converter, ipad mini2, RCA to 3.5mm cable. I tried both ways: connect it to MASTER RCA and to AUX as well.. no result.. no sound coming... in OBS I managed to capture iPad's video with Kinoni driver and Epoccam, but couldn't get audio of it. Tried all of the sources there available? AM I missing something? Also after buying this converter and trying to figure out how the sound can be enabled. I found the "VB-Audio" virtual cable which works just well without any extra cables/converters.. What do you think about it? And yes.. Please make a tutorial for OBS software.. It will be veeery useful for all DJ's nowadays))
I have a Pioneer xdj-rx2, I've purchased the Movo MC4 TRRS Adapter - 3.5mm (female) TRRS microphone Adapter cable to 3.5 TRRS (Male). I've also purchased a LinkinPerk 6.35 to 3.5 Stereo Jack Cable, 3.5mm (1/8 inch) TRS Stereo Audio Cable to 6.35mm (1/4 inch) to connect to my booth out & the TRRS lead. Going into my iPhone X using the Pioneer DJM-REC app... But it's not working? Any tips? Thanks

A TRRS cable (and the circuitry in a phone or tablet for using TRRS as a microphone/audio input) is mono. This is good advice if there absolutely no other option available, but describing this as "sounding amazing" is probably overselling it a bit.
Nice video Phil, as always... However, Im trying to stream from my rx2 -> fasttrack pro sound card -> macook pro, and the stream sounds rubbish on facebook :( is it possible to stream to facebook with this setup? or am i pushing too much into the stream? Im thinking its probably only designed for the setup outlined here in this video, via smartphone..?
How does it "sound rubbish"? What in particular is wrong with it? We've not tested that specific setup so hard to say when the possibilities are, should be able to get it decent enough for most though
Hi Phil, I’m looking to get a ddj 200 to dj with while on the move and plan to use a second phone for live streaming and I’m wondering whether the same can be done with the audio interface with the ddj 200 and two iPhones.
DDJ200 has no audio interface built in at all, just FYI. You'd be using a "mono splitter" cable (there's one provided in the box with the DDJ200) to separate headphones audio and master audio. So you'll then want to take that master output and split THAT again - one for your speakers, one for your second phone.

Hi Phil. I've followed all your tips and I'm having an issue with hissing/feedback in my audio useing the RODE SC4 cable in my phone. I'm running out my booth output in my DJM700 mixer. Any idea how I can fixed this issue and get rid of the hissing? I get the hissing when test recording on my phone and obviously don't want to hit live if I'm getting that. I've tried my master output and my record output and still get the hissing :(
Might not be the answer you want to hear but if you're having issues with this method you're better off getting an audio interface instead, much better quality and you'll have more control over the signal

usb from your mixer connects to your laptop and in obs select Add audio output capture the mixer will appear as option.

Back when I was DJ on Tiny Chat, U stream to Live Stream you name it. Now it's been a lot upgrades from all of us who been doing Live Streaming our very own eyes from apps you can use and some other websites you can use it really brings a good warm heart to me as a Bed Room/Live Stream Pro DJ as you may call it lol.

What phone are you using? Are you using any other adapters? This is a "hack" unfortunately and doesn't work with every setup
Hi Phil, I have a DJM900 nexus mixer with a digital booth out and built in sound card - would I still need an audio interface to achieve decent sound?
Booth out I’m hoping to run 2x jack (6.35) to single 3.5 jack & then TRS to TRRS and finally 3.5mm to lightning adaptor, I assume this set up would be in mono?
You should be able tro just plug it in digitally to your computer and "see" the sound card as an input, so no need for audio cable at all as far as getting the audio into your styreaming computer is concerned.
Does the iRig pick up the sound of your voice? Would I need a mic to speak into when using the interface? An interface that needs a driver installed wouldn't work on tablets and Iphones I assume. I'm guessing the iRig is a specialized plug and play product for that type of technology?

I bought everything you talked about for the first method. I have exactly the same setup as you but with a different MIDI controller and speakers.
I use:
- Traktor software
- Traktor Kontrol S2 MK2 (MIDI controller)
- External speakers
- iPhone 6S (with headphone socket)
When I set everything up and plug the TRRS to TRS (SC4) into my iPhone and I start a track in Traktor, everything works and my iPhone records the sound when I test it with my camera app. But it also records every other sound on the background just like it does with a normal recording.
Do both methods not work for Traktor? If so, which program can I then use to mix and have a clean music-only sound sent to my iPhone stream later on?

So, to summarize, everything works but the function of the TRRS to TRS (SC4), sending the audio signal from my midi controller / Traktor software to my iPhone with no other external sounds like conversations on the background etc, does not seem to work..
That's strange it should work with the 6S, have you tried it with any other app other than the camera app? The software won't have any effect on this working or not
Digital DJ Tips haven’t tried it with a different app other than the camera app. My plan is to stream via Instagram! Do you have any recommendations besides my camera app / voice memo app? And what might be the cause of the phone also recording everything else in the room?
Sorry not sure, this is hack and doesn't seem to work for everyone - method 2 is going to be your best bet here and picking up an audio interface

I use the DJM REC app with my iPhone 7 and DJM750mk2 and my lighting cable. Also have disputed copyright flags from Facebook and they eventually get cleared under fair usage as it’s a DJ set...plus I have a ProDub license for using digital music for performance

Great vid... I have an i-rig which essential does the same thing to get the audio into a phone / iPad. Question... the input into a phone etc is mono, fine. But you are taking both L and R outputs from your source. Are they mixed into mono or are you only sending the L ‘OR’ R channel into the device?

I'm currently just using rca cables from pioneer Rx2 , into amp with wire in speakers , and going live on FB via iPad ... the mic sound is terrible when I listen back.....can irig interface go between rx2 and amp , as well as into iPad for quality streaming audio?

We have 4 Alpha DSLRS, using the kit 16-50 on two of them, Sony Prime 35mm on one, a Sigma Prime 30mm on another, and the Sony 20mm pancake lens on the fourth. We also have a telephoto and a wide angle for when we need them.

Great vid! I picked up all the recommended products (TRS-TRRS, 3.5mm to 2-male RCA) but still the iPhone records with the built-in mic. I use a Pioneer DJM 600. I tried running the lines from Master out, booth monitor and REC out. What am I missing?
Potentially nothing, this is a hack and doesn't work for everyone (thankfully it's cheap to try), something like the iRig Stream (method 2) is going to be the solution
I had this same issue with an iPhone. Tried it with an Android device and it worked fine. Mojaxx also has a video where he says he tried this on an older iPhone (5s) and it worked.
Using the Sc4 adaptor to iPhone works for me but the audio is really poor quality, tried using both my controller and laptop as the outputs respectively and both the same outcome, any suggestions? Thanks for your videos, very helpful :)

I'm using traktor audio 6 with technics 1200s. Brought myself the sc4 adapter to up the sound qaulity but it sounds extremely distorted. Any tips on what I can do to resolve this problem my friend. Sc4 adapter is connected to phono to mini jack. Iv come out of one of the mixer main out and also tried coming out of the traktor divise... Help!!! 👌🏽 Great video and discriptions 🙏🏽
Turn the output level down low on the output that is connected ot the SC4. BUT... the better way it to use something like Loopback (Mac) or VB-Audio Cable (windows) to "hijack" the audio from the Audio 6 directly inside the laptop, meaning you don't need an input cable.

It has more flexibility (for instance, you can attach a mic and sapeakers to it), but they both do the basic job pretty much the same.

UPDATE: A workaround for anyone trying to use an external soundcard like a Scarlett 2i2 -
You can route your mixer audio into your USB audio interface. Then use something like ableton or garage band to set up a channel with the input as the AI, and the output as your built-in speakers/headphone jack. Then plug in a TRRS cable into the headphone jack and into your phone. This also works with a regular Apple lightning adapter, and there is minimal lag.
Probably a ton of other ways to utilize the headphone jack for this purpose, like if you're using a controller or maybe using a usb connection to a mixer.
All I had to buy for this setup was the TRRS cable, which are available on amazon. Most other stuff like Stream mixers, even the TRRS adapters, are getting tough to get. Happy streaming!

If it’s going into the computer from the mixer. Why can’t you select that as a source of audio & stream direct from the computer? Instead of going back out & in?

What audio interface can match the gain levels between left and right channels, WITHOUT sending a test tone signal and having to match by eye through my DAW? Such a pain in the ass. Does Scarlett 2i2 3rd gen Control software allow this?

Hi I have tried the 1st option with a Allen and Heath Qu series desk/Interface into an iPhone 11 and it’s hit and miss though it works with the output levels set correctly. What I would like to do is try the 2nd option via a USB B to lightening, however the A&H QU outputs 18 tracks simultaneously ( 16+ stereo out via usb) would this work presuming I can get a Lightening to USB B. This would be used live live performance instruments as opposed to DJ.

I've actually just bought a numark DJ2go2 mixer and downloaded serato lite as I have bugger all else to do at home.... I'm on lockdown with my mum and son...... been a raver since the nineties and always fancied giving it a go.... cost me 45 quid on ebay and i've already set my software up with 1000 tunes within dnb and old skool genre. luckily there are loads of tutorials on the basics with that mixer on here and i've learned so much by just watching youtube. hoping in six months by the time life starts to resume that my skills will be brilliant.... LOL

Not sure what you're asking. The point of an audio interface is to convert an analogue signal to a digital signal so no, once you've done that, you can;t use an analogue cable to pass that signal to the host device. Unless I'm not quite understanding you?

Hi Phil, I have a ddj rr with both a master and booth outputs, but unfortunately no audio seems to be coming out out of the second.. I have connected master to an amp and from the amp's rec output i use an irig 2 to my android. This is the only way i can get audio, though its really low quality. How can i stream like the pros ?

Please help, i have a DJM900 mixer and i want to livestream from my laptop using OBS. I tried to plugin a TRS cable in to my microphone input of my laptop. I get a very underwater sounding audio signal. Is this because i do not use the TRRS adapter to get the correct sound?
When i connected a USB A to USB B to cable i still got this underwatering sound.
Do i need to buy an external audio interface to get the signal from my mixer to my laptop in stereo to capture clear soudn or does the DJM900 mixer already have a audio interface build in?
you can plug your mixer directly into your laptop with a USB cable and capture the audio that way
hey, in the other video you said to buy a Rode sc4 and I did. My phone doesnt do anything with it. Now you are saying to get a TRRS to TRS cable, but Rode sc4 is a TRS to TRRRS adapter. So what am i not understanding?
The Sc4 is the correct cable.
Want to dj online use periscope, or instagram live. Or make a zoom page. facebook will muted all copyrighted songs during your stream.
It’s a wack issue but manageable. Even if they cut the video off, I’ve been able to get back on live so people have enjoyed it

One thing to mention though is that you can send a perfect live audio/video stream out from the host site using a stable wired connection but variables at the recipient sites could deteriorate listening/viewing experience

These methods work for any bit of gear with an output you can use, if you're going straight into a computer you can stream from that instead

Probably not with a phone, something like the iRig Stream is a really great option that phone use
My audio interface of choice is the zoom H6 best quality ever and you can also record with it and the unit is portable and works on 4AA batteries if choose ( love it)

I have Rode SC4 adapter but struggling to find what connections I should be using with my Rode SC4. Sound coming from monitor or master from my mixer or from Traktor Audio 10?

You'd just need an adapter to connect the SC4 to your phone but it sounds like it's not working for a lot of people doing it that way, method two (iRig Stream) would be a better option

Great Video. I was looking at the IRig2 and was wondering if this will work as well for going live? There seems to be little to no difference between the IRig Stream and the IRig 2 is actually newer and half the price.
We haven't reviewed the iRig 2, it's an audio interface so should work similarly
That is also something i am questioning. I currently use the irig 2 , the audio is better than using the mobile's mic, though not good enough like the pros, making people leave my streams. My question is will the irig stream sound like the pros or not? Its a lot of money to throw away
@@Galaxylight78 I am in the league as you, The irig 2 sounds a bit off, it’s way better than the phone mic but I don’t find it to be as good as other streamers. The irig stream can do stereo output, but my concern is once live on fb etc... will it only support mono? As I think the irig 2 is mono and that’s why the sound isn’t great.

What exactly? The audio interface solution? If your phone has a USB-C then the iRig Streeam definitely will work with it.

Just seen the price wow! Is there anything cheaper that would do a similar job? It's an Android I have. Testing it via taking a video and it's coming out just as normal video sound. Behringer do a cheap audio interface that's OK as well, the UCA202 but it's not for connecting to a smartphone

See if you stream through an iPad using for example a reloop mixon 4 will the audio already be clear as it all works through the iPad ?
Yes but you may struggle to get streaming software working on the same iPad as djay Pro - I have neve trired this so can't comment, would love to know how you get on!

Hi Phil! The option 1 didn't work with my setup: Windows10 Dell Laptop, DDJ800, sc4 converter, ipad mini2, RCA to 3.5mm cable.
I tried both ways: connect it to MASTER RCA and to AUX as well.. no result.. no sound coming...
in OBS I managed to capture iPad's video with Kinoni driver and Epoccam, but couldn't get audio of it. Tried all of the sources there available? AM I missing something?
Also after buying this converter and trying to figure out how the sound can be enabled. I found the "VB-Audio" virtual cable which works just well without any extra cables/converters.. What do you think about it?

I have a Pioneer xdj-rx2, I've purchased the Movo MC4 TRRS Adapter - 3.5mm (female) TRRS microphone Adapter cable to 3.5 TRRS (Male). I've also purchased a LinkinPerk 6.35 to 3.5 Stereo Jack Cable, 3.5mm (1/8 inch) TRS Stereo Audio Cable to 6.35mm (1/4 inch) to connect to my booth out & the TRRS lead. Going into my iPhone X using the Pioneer DJM-REC app... But it's not working? Any tips? Thanks
You best off going with method 2 in that case, better audio and it will definitely work

Hi Phil! I have NI Audio 2 mk2 and I try to use it for stream but its only have 2 outs and no inputs. In video You said that is possible with NI audio 2 mk2. How You menage to connect it properly? Greetings from Serbia!

A TRRS cable (and the circuitry in a phone or tablet for using TRRS as a microphone/audio input) is mono. This is good advice if there absolutely no other option available, but describing this as "sounding amazing" is probably overselling it a bit.
Perhaps, stereo is great to have though it's not really do with the "quality" so much as the experience
Nice video Phil, as always... However, Im trying to stream from my rx2 -> fasttrack pro sound card -> macook pro, and the stream sounds rubbish on facebook :( is it possible to stream to facebook with this setup? or am i pushing too much into the stream? Im thinking its probably only designed for the setup outlined here in this video, via smartphone..?
How does it "sound rubbish"? What in particular is wrong with it? We've not tested that specific setup so hard to say when the possibilities are, should be able to get it decent enough for most though

Hi Phil, I’m looking to get a ddj 200 to dj with while on the move and plan to use a second phone for live streaming and I’m wondering whether the same can be done with the audio interface with the ddj 200 and two iPhones.
DDJ200 has no audio interface built in at all, just FYI. You'd be using a "mono splitter" cable (there's one provided in the box with the DDJ200) to separate headphones audio and master audio. So you'll then want to take that master output and split THAT again - one for your speakers, one for your second phone.

Hi Phil. I've followed all your tips and I'm having an issue with hissing/feedback in my audio useing the RODE SC4 cable in my phone. I'm running out my booth output in my DJM700 mixer. Any idea how I can fixed this issue and get rid of the hissing? I get the hissing when test recording on my phone and obviously don't want to hit live if I'm getting that. I've tried my master output and my record output and still get the hissing :(
Might not be the answer you want to hear but if you're having issues with this method you're better off getting an audio interface instead, much better quality and you'll have more control over the signal
@@digitaldjtips OK no worries, thank you for getting back to me and letting me know :) coincidentally the irig is sold out everywhere unless you buy them for stupid money on eBay. I'll have to keep a eye out on Amazon... but I am using an Android, any tip on what to get for Android use or does the irig do that too? Thank you Phil and keep up the awesome work and giving us DJs the right information we need to to a decent live stream. I've learnt so much from being a complete novice watching your videos 👌 highly recommend your channel 🙏
It should do (and says so on their website) but Android can be a funny one with compatibility
