I swear this episode is exactly how most of my projects go lol Good to see I’m not the only ones who struggles with little issues that sometimes compound into hair pulling times 😎
Aaron, Emily, I’ve been watching your channel for several years now I’ve watched you guys do things apart put them back together do the best you can do some rather creative repairs and always seem to get it to work. You guys are awesome I don’t like you guys I love you guys I think you’re awesome and what you’re doing with your niece is amazing. The kid is coming along as an awesome mechanic in her own right and I’m proud of you guys for what you’re doing. Much love
I have to say, watching you guys suffer through parts runs to Summit Racing makes me count my blessings! Summit is about 4 miles from me right here in Sparks, Nevada, and 3 trips in a day is the norm for many projects. We just need to get them to franchise like McDonalds, and nobody will have to suffer like this! Hee-hee!
Aaron, I appreciate your encouragement. Sometimes I feel like these videos give me a false sense of ability. I appreciate your ‘box of rocks’ humility. It definitely encourages me to bite off more than I think I can chew! 😊
Your timing on this episode was just the inspiration I needed right now, My projects are bogged down and my son-in-law's work car is wrecked... I had to loan them my spare till they get a rental from the insurance. My daily driver has been problematic for months now. But, I am thankful for what Cool Stuff that I do have.... Just keep working the same as always....
I've done a lot of seals if you put a small sheet metal screw between the lip of the seal and the edge, then use a block of wood and a interior body panel tool. I've used this method for years on city busses (D o s's and T o s's) City busses take a beating in BUFFALO. LOVE YOU GUYS THANKS
OF COURSE WE LIKE YOU!!! If I had a nickel for every time I was missing parts or FORGOT parts when I am working on stuff ( and certainly not just vehicles ) I would have a bunch of nickels! I also suffer from C R.S. -Can't remember 💩! So if I don't have a list of exactly what I need I'm going back to the friggin store guaranteed... I feel you. Love and hugs from Waco!😁
I really enjoy seeing y'all struggle like I do when I'm working on my vehicles- makes us realize you're just human like the rest of us! Keep up the good work1!
Just a thought, Check to make sure you have a good ground bond wire between chassis and engine block. Starter draws high amount of current and will find any path and likes to melt wires
Perseverance, Positivity, Keep trying. Your messages are heartwarming and realistic. Thanks for what you do and sharing your experiences that we are able to relate to.
Of all the vehicles that you have if I could pick one it would be easy! As a retired owner/ operator of tow trucks my top Choice is Garfield because I could still stop and help people out! With the little things!
This one is so relatable. Sometimes things just snowball and all you can do is figure out what went wrong and fix it. The school of hard knocks is a great and sometimes expensive teacher that's for sure. And thanks for the tip to see if oil has gas in it. My boat has a Yamaha SHO 4-stroke on it and those are notorious for "making oil" because of how the block is made (rings have a hard time getting seated) and being a bass boat engine most will say to run it like you stole it with proper warmup and cooldown to keep it from making oil. I think I got the rings in mine seated OK but at times I miss the Mercury that was on my previous bass boat.
This episode has been filled with defeat. Just like alot of my projects. Cool thing is they will be overcome, and can step back and analyze the scenario and grow from them. Love the channel!
I'm sitting at flaming river working right now watching your video. The steering column you are putting in the bronco is probably one that i built. I hope you guys enjoy it. Have a blessed day.
Just like how everyone else with an old car, one thing leads to another constant upgrades and repairs you have to love it. New cars are worse constant bull-hocky after a few years.
For those grooves in the yolk you can also get what they call a speedy sleeve which is very inexpensive deal compared to having buying a whole New York
Hey next time you guys do a steering wheel change like that you can also buy what they call a telescopic D gauge that you can do and you can adjust it to whatever length you want
Mr Finley is at the top of his game, fix Betty Boop and then you guys need to finish the rest of the 30 other projects, ❤LoveJim J&R mobile service and God Bless Y'all and your critters
hi.a did last week replace head gasket and water pump plus timing in my old opel in heavy snowstorm and was -10celsius.it was not a smooth operation.could not wait for better weather.was first thinking this is not going taking long time but how wrong a was😀
I feel your pain, back and forth to parts store, I got to the point that I would tow, trailer or drive vehicle to store and do the work there till done. I had a 66 El Camino in El Paso in the 70's. Starters on the 396 were a problem with heat and drain batts and just not function right. I got tired of the 396, got me a 350 small block, happier. Sold the vehicle and bought a kawasaki 650. Heaven
Aaron has a knack for being the right amount of a rascal at just the right time. If it were me and I was told to move I would have wriggle in the seat a little bit just to give the rascal back.
Thst was pretty slick filming in the passenger mirror Emily. When the scene first started I thought that you were still filming through the drivers door. Pretty slick girl!
Instead of rubber vacuum caps I have started using silicone plugs and then I just drill a a hole into them and use them as a cap, or plug as needed. I just have not been able to find vacuum caps that are compatible with todays fuels for whatever reason. Harbor Freight sells a kit of silicone plugs now that are small, cheap, and handy to keep around if they are closer to you guys.
Peace and best to you and yours. You mentioned editing and a note from the Peanut Gallery. For the most part, this episode needed me up at 75% volume, but the commercials were hollering at me. Is there a way you can look at that baseline when you build a video? It would be a small victory!
It drives us nuts too!!! It’s like we need to send our episodes off to an audio mixer 😭😭😭 we use DJI mics so we don’t know why the heck the audio is so varied!! 😢
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! The yesterday the spouse stated "Your still buying parts for your mustang?!" my response - Yes, I am still buying parts for my big brake conversion for my mustang. But I spent all my parts money last month for the PowerStop Z23 full brake kit for her Subaru!
I anchored a D ring into the concrete at the rear of my garage centered on the four post lift. I then got a cheap 4500 lb atv winch with a wireless remote installed on a hitch mount. I can then use the winch to pull onto or off of the lift myself using the wireless remote while I steer the vehicle.
Really enjoyed the video, glad I am not the only who's 3 hour projects take a week sometimes! Your brave sniffing the diff, old gear oil is a special kinda nasty lol. I had not heard of the new style threadlocker either, thanks for the heads up. I made my Summit donation a few days ago too picking up a C10 windshield for my 66. That red C10 they have in the storefront window is so clean! Keep up the great work yall, sorry about your EFI, I hope yall had a great Thanksgiving.
You should swap the rear driveline end for end. Doing this will get the slip yoke up and out of the weather to keep the water from running down, and getting past the seal in the slip yoke.
Its always a win for us the viewers so don't be too hard on yourselves. I did notice the volume levels were down quite a bit the second half of the video but not a big deal. Just thought I would mention it.
Like your content. As a former (now retired) Mac Tools distributor, I really hate the Snap Off t-shirt🤮😜. Thankfully it looks to be about worn out. With your current crop of vehicles, you’ve got content for years to come.
Guys Shit happens, It’s part of life, We’re only human and everyday we learn, The only way to learn is by our mistakes, Doing jobs on cars trucks whatever is hard enough, I admire you guys for having a camera watching you constantly, Keep doing what you’re doing and pat yourselves on the back for what you’re doing, It’s not easy like people who have never worked on a car think it is, You guys rock, Much ❤ from the UK

Somedays your the windshield somedays your the bug.. I can totally relate to how this video went, "been there done that.. bought the T-shirt". This folks.. is how we learn !
If you decide to rewire it, American autowire uses the Chevy connector on the column. It felt weird to cut off the connector on a brand new Scott Drake turn signal switch unit when I rewired my mustang.
I had an Old ford Van that i had to do something simlar! Ended up using a Dogde Shifter , instead because of cost of the Ford parts while out in Arizona. But it all worked fairly nice!! Also Fords around that and earlier didn't like being up or down hill while low on gas , unlike Chevy who has a Catch bowl so the won't run out of gas when it's low and up or down hill
As a guy who works on cars I allways put my belt on so the belt buckle is on the side of my body so it would not scratch the Vehicle I was working on. Give it a try you might like it.
Nice to see betty out in her finery. Know the feeling with running out of fuel, brought a 06 triumph speed four naked bike 30000 miles . Ran out out twice, saved first time by a fellow cyclist who wouldn't take any renumeration. Now home outside in wintery uk Birmingham.
You’ve probably already done your troubleshooting on the Sniper but… after you fixed the wiring the injectors are possibly doing what they should (start prime). It’s hard to tell as you didn’t leave the ignition on long enough in the video. One way to know is to put it into flood clear mode by having the accelerator pedal to the floor when you turn the ignition on, in this mode the injectors shouldn’t fire.
Now me working so close to the rear drive shafts would have knocked the end caps off of the U Joint in two seconds. Because I have, more than twice. So, when I am pulling a shaft and not replacing the U Joint, they get a round of tape to hold them.on.
What are you entering in the Matts Offroad Games - Jalopy Challenge? You've got two four wheel drive broncos and it's time to actually use them for offroad real world challenges.
Sniper injectors are notoriously noisy. Also keep in mind that the sniper needs a minimum of 12 volts to work, so if your battery is drained, it will not start. Part of the joys of having a Sniper (I'm running a Sniper Stealth on my Windsor stroker).
You guys are the sweetest, most adorable couple on RUclips. Excited to see each video. Always love the content. Would love to see more aviation stuff. Hope you two had an amazing Thanksgiving. Bearded_Av8r
I got to admit it's pretty funny watching you work on a rear end pumpkin taken out the seal dripping gear oil down with a white T-shirt and then you walking directly underneath it. What laundry detergent are you sponsored by?
Aaron on your shift column indicator inside the Bronco if you go out under the hood take your 4 Islands or screws out on your shift lever you should be able to clock it one way or the other to get that to work inside the Bronco compartment sense of universal unit that's how they make it to you and adjust it my work
