    If the pump is bad would that give you a scr derate? I an getting derated and when I check with computer I am not getting no code.

    • @volvobigtrucks8640
      @volvobigtrucks8640  4 года назад +1

      ya most of the time it wont give you a code for failed DEF pump, but will give codes for low pressure or high nox and yes that will de-rate truck

    Damn I just heard that humming sound when I shut truck off.... I changed air dryer out and all of a sudden my yellow engine light comes on and a code SN 0 5443 FMI 13 ...Help
    Could this be it ? Can I just change filter?
    Humming just started out the blue

    • @volvobigtrucks8640
      @volvobigtrucks8640  4 года назад +4

      the code you sent is for a dosing module that supplies air and fuel to the 7th injector, the humming sound is mostly not related to it, the def pump behind the def tank will make a humming sound right after key is shut off and its normal = good pump is working

      also when you turn off your truck few moments later you should hear a buzzing/humming sound that is the def pump is pulling back in the def from the nozzle, if it doesn't first thing to check fuses and battery connections
