  • this is a short on the go video that i wanted to make for a long time, but didn't have a good example,
if it was hard to hear i was trying to explain that wiring going from def pump to after-treatment module they rub against each other or on the bracket, it takes a little bit of time but closer to 400000 miles will come up with a def pump or acm codes, very common but not always or will just derate, what i have been doing is insulating the wiring in that area with some sort of rubber, hose or soft plastic, because once insulation is damaged, green corrosion starts to build up in the wiring, then hopefully you can see it to fix it.
Before you securing the wiring back make sure to inspect the loom and wiring insulation if there is any wire you can see need it insulate it from weather

You're a freaking genius, i finally found the issue thanks to you, I kept getting the acm fault with no code. And they told me it was the battery terminals, the battery cable, the wiring harness. And i moved that wire and fault code came off. The acm cable was rubbed on the other wire exactly like in you're video.

Love the video and will be doing this on my truck. But one issue I’m having now is, i did a service after being on the road 2 weeks. Changed oil an filters, fuel filter and fuel water separator.after all was done, i tried starting the truck but was running as if it was starving for fuel. After several attempts i noticed black smoke coming from the firewall.i took off the passenger side panel off and noticed the dpf was clogged. The mechanic took it off and and it cleaned along with the doc. But the issue I’m getting is a fault code of “neutral secured not detected.” Vehicle in neutral and won’t start.fuses and relays are good. Also there is no audible sound of fuel pump either. Been days and been pulling our heads off with this. Doing diagnostics, no code faults were coming up at all. Not sure if the ecm is shot.any ideas off the top of ur heard ?

Thanks .. sucks I didn t see this video before . Already spend 950 for one broken wire . Now have same issue .. but I don t think my pump is pushing def in the doser injector , and also getting acm fault plus aftertreatment code (just like before ) . Time to see harness and the pump for humming noise
