Her capability, superb back up and obvious delight at what she’s doing is just great art at its’ very best. Was that Jerry Lee Lewis at the piano?
I couldn’t tell but he could have fooled me. I am so grateful to have this available.
Wow! Wanda seems like a Hollywood starlet in one of those early rock-and-roll films from the 50s trying to seem like she's hip. I never imagined she was so great-looking. She's got a voice, yes, and lots of presence.
She didn't want to be a hillbilly and didn't want to look like one either. She liked the glamorous look and her mom made her dresses. Nudie Cohen her mom told her, charged too much.
Wanda was a pioneer and a great performer
I couldn't live with myself if I didn't include the queen of rockabilly herself Ms. Wanda Jackson!!!
So fantastic.
