I had never heard of Wanda Jackson till RUclips thought I might like her.....they were wrong.....I LOVE her! what an incredibly talented Lady! I can't wait to meet her one day at that jam in the sky
I saw her on the Town Hall Party in California and she was the hottest rock and roll girl I’ve ever seen and cute as a button. I’m so grateful I got to open a show for her at the Mercury in Tulsa Oklahoma and it was packed. And congratulations for being in the Rock and Roll hall of Fame too. You should be there more than any woman in the world.
Yours is the best audio for one of her performances on here, great post. Wanda Jackson's my rockabilly idol! She's playing at belle chere fest in asheville, nc this weekend 7/27/13, going strong!
I remember when she first smashed her way into the rock scene, she could blow the roof off with that voice! Amazing she is still going strong. Great to see her once again in action!
Too bad the People with their annoying Handycams. In addition, these Pictures were of such poor Quality at the Time that you can no longer look at them today
I like the tune of the song but her voice is just not very good neither is her stage presence. Can't see why should would of had much of a following in her day.
To be honest I don't like artists who try to keep all the fans happy by mixing up 2 different types of music, e.g. country and rock and roll. It ends up doing justice to neither, adding a steel guitar and a few yee haa's to a rock song is wrong. I know it's done purely to please both sides of the coin, but in my view it doesn't work. Name dropping to grab a few more bucks is also a no no
It is really roots rock. Just considered it Alt. rock. It is so hard to define rock really. Two of my guitar heroes, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton have elements of Country and Rock-a-billy music on their albums. Jeff released an album of nothing but rockabilly music. You can see the whole performance on youtube!

Fantastic lady god bless
I just read about a relationship with Elvis, who encouraged her to go from Country to Rock and Roll…
Well done for posting this clip. She hasn’t lost it, how good is that!
Happy 79th Birthday, Wanda! You are something else! Thanks for sharing another example of Elvis Presley's generosity of spirit! Love you both FOREVER.

elvis presley herde hade woman
Speechless. I was expecting considerable diminished capacity. None.
80% of everything ever done in rock-n-roll comes back to Wanda Jackson's screaming singing in 1955.
She's the real thing.
She is
She sounds like an alley cat being strangled while fighting over dead rat in the rain.
The song eventually starts at 5.46.
Speaking of Elvis, the dude helping her with the guitar looks like Vernon!
Damned if you aint got a point
I hear me some Hank Sr. Aswell of course

Wonderful intro. Intelligent woman. Those phones in her face are annoying.
Too bad the People with their annoying Handycams. In addition, these Pictures were of such poor Quality at the Time that you can no longer look at them today
Compte pas toute ta vie.
Fun times with Elvis. What else? He was very obliging.
I like the tune of the song but her voice is just not very good neither is her stage presence. Can't see why should would of had much of a following in her day.
trop de blabla bla
日本製のグレッチギターを弾いてるメタボな男…下手くそすぎる‼(爆)こんなんで良いの⁉ワンダジャクソンだぜ⁉(;゜∇゜)エッ……
