I am always happy to find uses for all the decorative napkins. I have this trait that when ever we go somewhere that have these really beautiful napkin I always save on . This is a great idea. Thanks for sharing.
The book marker idea is a great for a child's Valentine's party at school who cannot bring candy or treats and, it's better than the paper Valentine's.
Love this idea. My kids threw a 40th anniversary party for my us and I think I would like to laminate the napkin . thanks for the tip on sandwiching the napkin between paper to cut.
what a great treasure to have. Someone mentioned that she's been collecting napkins from every important event. Can you imagine a binder, and all the pages are laminated napkins?
Thank you for another great demo. When I apply sticky sheets or adhesive laminating sheets to napkins etc, I lay the napkin down and peel an inch of the backing paper from the sticky sheet. Then I slowly work my way down the napkin peeling the backing sheet off as I go making sure the adhesive sheet is applied smoothly with no air bubbles.
i just found this video. I have a dresser drawer full of pretty napkins - pretty napkins, laminating and bookmarks are my jam!! Thank you for the video!
Thanks Lolly. I love my laminater that I brought a couple of years ago. I've laminated everything that can be laminated and pretty much forced everyone I know to let me laminate their stuff! Now it's just tucked away doing nothing untill now! Thanks for the geat ideas. I'm very partial to tissue paper and napkins ( there's so many pretty and cool prints out there ) so now I know what I'll be doing with all the tisue paper that I keep buying purely because it's all so pretty! Thank you!
sweet! Glad you found a new use. It's funny that you commented -- I was just writing in my journal this morning and admiring my laminated napkin bookmarker!
Brilliant !! I have so many napkins and will never use them all is what I was thinking but now I am going to laminate them and use them in journal making . Thank you so much for showing this.
Thank you for the great tips. I have napkins collected from special occasions and worried about preserving them or using them some way. If l use some in my planner they will be usable, interchangeable and l will have daily reminders of beautiful memories that the napkins represent. I love leaving bookmarks in library books when l return them so some off cuts will become bookmarks, for sure. I love the transparency of the napkins and the finished result from the lower profile eliminating that annoying bubble around the perimeter of the laminated paper. Thank you Lolly!
isn't it funny? So many of the greatest ideas were actually so simple. I'll look at a video and think that was so brilliant but also simple, and why didn't I think of it sooner? Usually what happens though is that I do my own video, and I do something very complicated, and a viewer tells me of an easier way. I slap my forehead. Duh! :) Hee hee
I've seen laminating machines in the office supply store and didn't think of the multi-purpose uses for them. Lolly, you have given me inspiration! TFS.
I am new to your channel and I was specifically looking for directions on self adhesive laminating sheets. Thank you! I LOVE Tuesday Morning guest towels. Can’t wait to try it.
Thanks for this fun idea, and thanks for not putting background music on!! I have the Scotch brand laminator, and have the same issue you mentioned-I take a piece of card stock and put it behind the laminating sheet as it goes through the laminator to help keep everything in place (I just hold the card stock back so it doesn’t go through the laminator).
oh, yes. So many times the background music is so loud that I can't hear the person speak. And I am still learning this new video editing software, and I can't get the music volume exactly where I want it anyway, so why bother. And a video that's 20 minutes -- way too long for background music
Love the idea of laminating napkins and tissue paper😍 a couple months ago I made bookmarks with cardstock and laminate for my daughters class auction on Fridays. They were a big hit!!! Tyfs 💖 awesome tutorial Lolly 😊
I think I might want to get a bottom loader laminater. I have a top load Scotch one. Thanks for reminding us about the pockets at Target for back to school
I like to put a couple of sheets of A4 copier paper in with the napkin, then it only laminates one side. Trim off the edges and peel the pieces apart - lovely effect😊
I have done something similar with other laminating projects, but I find that sometimes it's not a permanent hold --- seems to depend on the paper quality.
Fantastic tutorial Lolly! Answered a lot of my questions and showed me exactly how to do what I wanted with my personal journal! Congratulations again on 30, 000 subscribers! ♥
These turned out lovely! I have some beautiful napkins I picked up at the dollar store as well as some small self-laminate sheets that I could use for my planner's dashboard. I was hoping to find one online, but this is a much cheaper alternative! Thank you for this tutorial!
Im a new subbie, I love your video, I do all kinds of crafts, jewelry making, paper and polymer clay creations, sewing, watercolor, and acrylic painting. With that being said, I love paper making projects, cards, shabby chic collage etc. Thanks for sharing, God bless you and your family. Jennie from Peoria, AZ.
thank you for watching. I know there are decoupage groups on Facebook that do swaps. I'm over committed right now & don't want to add another swap to my list. Sorry!
yes, I want to laminate fabric, too. Dad passed away in February, and I asked Mom for his plaid shirts. I'm going to make Grandpa Pillows out of his shirts, for the grandchildren. But the scraps --- wouldn't they make great notebook covers and laminated bookmarks?
What a genius and clever little idea! I absolutely love this so much. This is a great way to preserve napkins as well from say a wedding or 1st birthday (I may be the only one who does that 🤷♀️ ha ha), but this is amazing either way! Tfs ♡
no, if you read the comments, you'll see others have saved napkins. I think if you laminate them and punch holes and put them in a 3 ring binder, it would be awesome!
I have started laminating 2 sheets of images printed on laser printer and placed in pouch back to back. Cut the edges and you have 2 sheets of images laminated only on front. Using water and my fingers I remove the paper leaving the image adhered to the lamination. The inside has a matte finish, outside is shiny. These can be colored with media or printed in color or black and white. Finished product looks like a decal or even a laminated napkin.
Hello, new subbie here. Love your videos. Never thought of laminating napkins or tissue paper. Great idea! Would make cool placemats, if they were bigger. TFS😁.
This is a great project😊. Even for some of my really pretty wrapping papers🌸. Thanks for showing us! Now I think I need a newer laminator😆. Take care and have fun 💗🤗!

Love this idea! Never thought of laminating napkins or tissue paper. Now I need to go get some napkins. Thanks for sharing!
great! Have fun
The book marker idea is a great for a child's Valentine's party at school who cannot bring candy or treats and, it's better than the paper Valentine's.
yes! And we can personalize with a piece of paper before we laminate -- put the date, occasion, whatever

Great tip! I've done that with paper but not napkins

I've had a sheet of that Disney tissue since our 2016 trip to Disney world and have not known what I wanted to do with it. Now I do! Thanks!
really! That's so awesome!

Those eyelets you used are stampin’ up! I used to be a sales rep and I recognize the packaging ! Cute ideas!
Yes, I was able to get a few of these little tubs at a second hand crafting store. I love them!
Really enjoyable to watch.....and learn, love pretty serviettes and laminating is so satisfying. Thank you.
I will use this technique again --- I love the outcome

Ooodles of great info and ideas! I like your electric type laminator vs my crank style. Your organizer is beautiful and looks very functional!
