Happy Wednesday! I think I've found a new crafting passion! I am obsessed with these napkin DIYS! Let me know if you've tried diying with napkins and if you like it or not! Any links you may need can be found here: linktr.ee/mooredecalanddecor
Listen to yourself!! That last project was beautiful and the wrinkles made it look great. It looks new or old or vintage. So get those napkins and don't worry about the wrinkles. When you go over it with a dark wax it will become vintage immediately! Don't worry about a few wrinkles. None of us are perfect so what we create in our art comes from our heart. And that makes it beautiful. God bless up/
Hi Liz! I love all these gorgeous diys! When you have to sand off napkins in a tight area, a nail file/Emory board works well. Thanks for always being so upbeat!
Liz, if you rip some small pieces from another napkin, you do this by slightly dampening the area you want to rip and then one by one gradually add the smaller pieces over the damaged areas on your project. Slightly overlap them and just mod podge them on and allow to dry. Once fully dry you cannot see where you added the smaller pieces. This is how a lot of people do work with napkins by fussy cutting pieces out of a napkin, mod podge each piece and you build it up. Hope this helps and doesn't sound too complicated, it really is easy, honestly. xx
I liked all your projects, but the first one was my favorite. Thank you for sharing that technique. I had never before seen it. But it makes all the difference in how professional your DIYs look to get out all the bubbles when you decoupage. Thank you Liz❤❤❤♥️
Your projects came out so cute and for doing this the 1st time you did great. Tip, u have your mod podge out already put a tiny bit on tips of 2 fingers and your napkins come apart easily. I love the Terra cotta pot and the procedure quite fun. Love how all of these look and especially the 1st one with the round wood such a nice look doing half tissue paper, very pretty. Thanks 4 sharing.
Liz, these are wonderful crafts using decoupage. I too am a bit obsessed with the idea of decoupage. Recently I used an awesome colorful cactus print tissue paper that was wrapped around something I had ordered… and Mod Podged it to a mason jar. It is so much fun to repurpose items into whimsical wonderfulness. Thanks for your inspirational and artistic crafts! ❤😊
I know you do a lot of cricut diys ,I have abandoned mine for decoupage ,I just couldn't get the hang of design space since getting my cricut a few years ago ,you did great Liz!!!
I would have ironed it again! That’s how I have saved many projects! And yes it has to be completely cool and dry to put the top layer on, because of Shrinking and expanding
Love them all. I currently do napkin cards but now I have more great projects to do with all the many napkins I have. Thank you for the wonderful ideas.
I love your projects! I like to use terra cotta pots for colored pencils, markers all kinds of craft supplies and kitchen supplies! Beautiful projects!
All you have to do when you get wrinkles even the top layer is put the parchment paper back dow and go back over it to remove the wrinkles. I remove my parchment paper before it cools completely. Works for me.
Heck for the candle coaster: When the napkin rips, gentle sand it off to make it smooth and add a new piece of napkin over top of the torn/sanded area. You won’t see the tear after you put the final coat of mod podge on it.
Love love LOVE the pallet planter! I'll most likely be stealing this idea as I have the same napkins and I was thinking about a good project for them. This is peeeerrrfeccccttttt!! Lol thanks for the inspiration, Liz!!! As always, everything is beautiful!❤
Really enjoyed your crafts. I had never seen you before, but youtubr decided l needed to see your crafts. I liked most of them but really loved the little pot covered with gift tissue. That was pretty and now l nerd to run to Hobby Lobby.
When I decoupage I found what works for me is using Saran wrap and using a small amount of modge podge in the middle and working myself out with the Saran wrap now I learned all this from krafty Kathy another craft channel and I don't ever get any wrinkles I am so big in decoupage . I love all your Diy's very cute plus I haven't done decoupage with the iron so I will have to try. Thank you for sharing
@@LizabethMoore I was decoupaging today and I did try using the modge podge and iron with my napkins and I really love how it works so thank you for that tip. When using Saran wrap just use a good size of it and by doing that the heat from your fingers helps it smooth out the wrinkles it took a lot of practice but now I have it down pack and won't use anything else.
I love these!! I’ve decoupaged before but not with the iron trick!! So cool, I’m going to look for some cute napkins! Great job Liz, hope to see more of these!👍💕💕💕💕
How cute! I cleaned out a friend's storage that she no longer needed & found lots of Terra cotta pots, among other finds. I'm going to DIY them with the napkins also, so it was pretty cool to see how yours came out. Can't wait to make mine too!
OMG Liz these are all absolutely adorable. Make sure you try DIY Liquid Patina, I got that tip from Krafty Kathy, that stuff works like a charm and you get NO wrinkles, I will never use Mod Podge again.
Hi Liz. I love all of your projects, they all look beautiful. You fixed the torn one perfectly. I love decoupaging, it’s so much fun to do. I have quite a few wood rounds and I want to do something different than what I’ve seen everyone do on them. Thanks to seeing you do some decoupaging I think I may do a couple with napkins. I adore their little pot with the tissue paper, the paper is gorgeous. If you want to get some great ideas for decoupaging go and watch Brandi at The DIY Struggle. I swear she knows every trick there is with decoupaging, I’ve learned so much from her. She is an awesome crafter. Gorgeous decoupaging projects. You’ll learn all the different techniques for napkins etc., from her. TFS Liz. Your projects are awesome.
I had always wanted to try decoupage but I wasn't a fan of all the wrinkles from using the wet mod podge. I saw Whitney do the technique of letting the mod podge completely dry and then using the iron to reactivate the mod podge so I gave that a try and it was a complete game changer!!! I absolutely love how the projects turn out using that technique!! 🙂
I love decoupage!! I use either plastic wrap and a brayer, or my cute, tiny little iron to smooth out the wrinkles!! Depends on what I’m doing and the mood I’m in! 😂 I love the flower pot! I’m working on a larger pot using the same method! ❤
@@LizabethMoore I’ve been really looking for some nice pink floral ones and just can’t find what I’m wanting. What I really want is the IOD rub on transfers!!

All too cute!! Round one was my favorite. I do quite a bit of decoupage but haven't used the mini heat press yet. Wrinkles bother me as well unless it's looks like it was intentional! Great job!!
Liz, I just want to live in your head for a few minutes 😂😂😂 Seriously your ideas are always so great! I loved them all but the welcome sign was really gorgeous! It is funny because I just bought some napkins from Amazon this week to do wall pockets but now I’m going to have to try these too. Thanks for the much needed inspiration. Happy 🐣 Easter! Donna

Very nice I love decoupage!
Keep meaning to tell you how much I love your rose gold wedding rings.
Aw, thank you Joni!! I feel like rose gold was super popular when I got married in 2014. So now the majority of my jewelry is rose gold lol
That tape trick is awesome! Ingenious ! I’m going to try that when I’m fighting to open a plastic garbage bag that won’t open.

My favorite was the round circle

Liz I really liked all of them. I have done little but they bubbled. The new technique of using an iron is pretty smart
It worked really well! Zero bubbling besides when I put modpodge over top the riser, but besides that, no issues!
These are sweet. I would suggest using an emery board for removing the napkin between slats
