Napkin Cards | DON'T MISS THIS NEW TECHNIQUE! Use Designer Napkins & Dies for STUNNING Cards! 🤩🫶🏻

- In today's video, I'm going to show you how EASY it is to make stunning cards using your stash of paper napkins and patterned paper!
I've seen a lot of tutorials where people use patterned paper or napkins for backgrounds and some even add glitter. But what about adhering beautiful napkins to simple shaped die cuts? This technique couldn't be more simple and you'll love the "wow!" effect you get when you add gloss on top. Or, you can use packing tape or large sheets of clear sticker paper.
In this video, I use my favorite gloss glaze (an economic sized bottle and lasts a LONG time!) and some inexpensive Dollar Tree packing tape. It is an inexpensive brand so it was somewhat easy to cut, but if you use a more expensive brand that offers great strength, you may find it a bit of a challenge to cut. If you do, I recommend using a good cutting plate for intricate die cuts (listed below).

Thanks for subbing! I appreciate you! And thanks for watching!
Beautiful! I have used the Michel brand of napkins in my paper crafting too. They are some of the best for elegant botanicals and classic designs. Unfortunately, the company was bought out by another biz a few years ago and moved all their manufacturing to China. I'm sure the quality of their products will never be the same, especially their soaps, lotions and things like that.
Oh, I didn’t know that! That is a total bummer. 🫤I LOVE those designs. They’re just beautiful. Thanks for letting me know…🤗
Gorgeous cards. Thank you!
Thank you so much!!! 🥰🥰🥰

Wow, wow, wow Kathya, these are absolutely spectacular. Thanks so much. 😊🇨🇦
Thanks so much, Brenda! Such a fun technique when you don’t feel like stamping. Makes for a quick card if you plan out your design first. Thanks for watching! ♥️
What a clever idea with the packing tape!
Thanks Brandi! And thank you so much for watching! ♥️
So much fun! I usually just let the stuff dry for a few hours and come back, but the packing tape looks just as good. Very shiny! 😊
Thanks so much-you’re right-the waiting of this stuff to dry is kind of a pain. Glad you enjoyed it! 🥰
@@KathyaKalinine Fortunately, dry times are truncated in Phoenix 😉
Beautiful cards 🥰 I love your techniques, your butterflies and your card designs ❤️ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
You are so welcome, Joan ! hugs! ♥️
Lovely cards. Where did you get your personal stickers for the backs
Thanks! I made them myself. I purchased round sticker (Avery brand), designed them at Avery.com and printed them at home. I’m not a fan of stamping ‘handmade by’ with my name. I prefer the clean look of my custom sticker. 🥰
These butterflies are GORGEOUS…TY for the ideas!!! By the way, can you please tell me where you got your name stickers on the back of your cards? 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸
I actually designed and made them by going to Avery.com. I bought the round sticker labels, used the corresponding template and printed them on my laser printer. I’m not a fan of having to stamp on the back of my cards. I hope this helps! 🥰
@@KathyaKalinine TY…you did a great job! 💕
What beautiful cards! Thank you for the terrific inspiration. There are really beautiful napkins, and tissue paper out there! I have a love/hate relationship with glue sticks… the ONLY thing I use them for are adhering napkins to card panels! Inexpensive, and they stay moist for just a bit which allows for terrific results when I put them through an embossing folder! Curious if the self laminating sheets in your product list are easy to die cut? Thanks for a terrific video! 🧑🏼🎨😀🙏🏼
thank you! You’re right. There are so many beautiful napkins out there and sometimes, I just don’t feel like stamping, you know? I haven’t die cut the self laminating sheets yet, but they are must more pliable than packing tape, so I’m sure it will die cut well. I have it in my shopping cart and can test it out for you so you don’t waste your money in case it doesn’t work. I have a different brand of laminating sheets and I’m sure they’re similar to this product. I’ll report back! ♥️
@@KathyaKalinine Thanks so much! Will await your feedback! :-)
