Lots of neat ideas that I hadn't thought of! I would love a vid on how to set an eyelet perfectly with the regular crop-a-dile hand held one. Mine almost always come out not quite right or one side is not squished enough and I can never remember which side of the setter thing to put in which side of the eyelet! I have to do a few practice ones first, always! Oh... they are good to use to hold down vellum if you don't want to glue it. I like to stamp on my vellum and then put it over something on my card or whatever, and then put eyelets in all 4 corners. Looks really cute.

I love eyelets too. Another use is as joints for movable parts such as wheels, elbows, knees, etc. They can bring things to life if you design &/or make your own paper/mixed-media vehicles, dolls, & puppets/marionettes.
@@LollyPalooza Maybe, but can you not control how tightly/loosely they are installed? & some have more space between top & bottom (like spacers), right? I will have to pay closer attention to that aspect.
Thank you for some great eyelet ideas! One of my favorites is that paper clip for the bow. Love that!! And the double color page edging. This is not my idea, but it's something I thought you may like: I have seen section tabs decorated with the tiny eyelets and a charm through it. That's one of my favorites as well, used in a planner and travelers notebook. Question: what do you do to cover the other side? Or do you not have to cover them? No matter how gentle I try to be, the back side of the eyelet always has sharp points. I can't seem to mash them or get them flat so I don't scratch myself. If it happens on the left side (for page reinforcement of a section divider) at least I'm not touching that but I have had it happen where the sharp bit scratches the paper next to it. I made my own recipe book, and I used eyelets for the covers and section dividers- that's where I'm having this trouble. It scratched my fingers up as I was attaching all the sections with twine, and I've noticed a couple sections where the eyelet backs scratch what they rest on.
LOL, Sorry I missed this post when I posted :) I asked the same question! The quality of the eyelet must have one thing to do with it? I will be watching for your video on *how to* which I hope will fix this issue for those of us who keep getting cut! LOL
Great ideas for eyelets! Haven't used them in years. I don't have those fancy eyelet setting tools that you have. Great ideas for eyelets! Totally inspired to bust them out again. I use an eyelet combined with an upside down brad for journal closures. Not promoting myself here but if you do journals, I would bet that you would get some use of it. Its a very old video on my channel if you want to see it but basically you put the brad thru the eyelet, put the brad thru your project and open the brad and viola, a closure to wrap ribbon or twine around to close a chunky or flat journal, card, etc. I hope you get some from that if you haven't done that already :)

After watching your video, I'm kicking myself for having gotten rid of all the eyelets I had from a few years ago. However, I may have stashed a couple in a back drawer somewhere so will now have to go searching for those. Thank you for sharing your ideas!
Nice video on sharing how to use eyelets. Before your video I found it challenging to set eyelets. I finally figured how to set eyelets a few months ago and it’s a new addition for my craft creations. I wasn’t aware that there were so many eyelet sizes and that’s what the issue was for me because the hole size had to match your eyelet size choice. I like the layered papers with the eyelet and the memory dex cards with the laces. Tfs and have a great Labor Day. 😊
I followed you idea of using the garment pins on my charms. Not a good idea for me, they kept falling off. I found it on the ground by the vehicle after shopping, glad it was still there. My husband found it this last time in the shopping cart when loading the car, glad he found it. I made it and really did not want to have to cast another one.
Oh no! I wonder why they are falling off. Is the garment pin opening up? It shouldn't. The most logical problem would be that the jump ring is not fully closed, and the garment pin is just slipping through the crack.
I stumbled on this video and it is perfect for me. I have both Cropadiles and eyelets but don’t use them that much. Now I have ideas for my Art & Bible journaling as well as Memory keeping. Beautiful Thank you. Blessings

When I first got started in paper crafting, a former Stampin' Up! demonstrator gave me an old catalog where "hardware" was featured on many (if not most) of the example cards. I have had a fondness since then for metal embellishments. Thank you for all of the great ideas and tips for using eyelets.

Thanks so much for the information cause I really needed to know what projects I could do with some Eye Lets I got. Someone was selling a bunch of punches for a certain amount and the only photo that person put out was a box of punches and a few things below them however I couldn’t tell what they were and they were in fact Eye Lets but no instructions, no tools, just a gorgeous array of colors. I have both tools you mentioned I just need a bit of direction so I’ll watch the other video you mentioned and hopefully get the awesome ideas I always get from you. This video couldn’t of come at a better time ! Thank You 😃
Tfs Lolly. Never would of thought of using the extra wide ones as a tab but it'll be a lot more durable than paper and I don't have to worry about it fraying after a lot of use. The eyelet lacing is a great way to make laminated cash envelopes since most tapes and glues won't stick to the plastic for long. It gives them a more decorative touch than just sewing the edges with a machine too.

Blessings
Glad it was helpful! Glad you found me!

Great video reminding me to use my eyelets and showing some cool NEW ways to use them, too! Thank you
You bet! Thanks for watching!
The way you did that string closure is brilliant. No knots in the string!
Thank you! The first time I wanted to make one of the closures, I watched a tutorial in which she tied the string around the paper disc, and I thought there has to be a better way, so I came up with this. I love it! Thank you for watching !
What amazing ideas!!! Such a wonderful video. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much!!
Lolly, you’re an encyclopedia of many how to tutorials ❤❤❤Im indeed greatful when I need help in a project like this👌Outstanding!

You are so welcome! Another eyelet video is going up tomorrow
Very nice ! I love everything you make.... thank you for sharing 👏🏻🌸
Thanks so much 😊
When I first got started in paper crafting, a former Stampin' Up! demonstrator gave me an old catalog where "hardware" was featured on many (if not most) of the example cards. I have had a fondness since then for metal embellishments. Thank you for all of the great ideas and tips for using eyelets.
I remember a time when eyelets and brads were featured quite heavily at Michaels. :)
I bought a Crop a Dile and colored eyelets 6 months ago...never used it yet! I have to get that out and do it!! Thanks for all of this amazing advice and examples!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching & taking the time to comment
This is by far one of my favorite videos that I have watched several times over. Genius ideas in which I will certainly implement some of the new ones that I have never used before.
Wonderful! Thanks so much :)
Lovely ideas video. Thanks for the tutorial - this will make me get my crocodile out again x

Thank you! I have a neglected Crop-a-Dile AND a Big Bite (plus a load of eyelets) that sorely need attention. I also look forward to your "How to Set Eyelets Perfectly" video. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! Yes, I'm going to do a "how to" vid!
Thank you for this amazing video! After many years I think I will start using my eyelets again.
Go for it! Have fun!
brilliant ideas tfs have plenty of ideas on what to use up my eyelets on I think you tend to forget all the special ways to use an item and use them just for a ribbon on a tag etc but I love the paper edging after punching out the page have a blessed day Nicole uk
You are so welcome! Many thanks for watching!
Eyelets were always one of my favorite trends that came along, I love the texture and look of them, I still have tons!
fabulous!
I have a big bite on sale years ago have never fully known how to use it. Thanks!
Happy to help!
Thank you for taking the time to share these examples. As soon as I figure out how to use the Crop-a-dile properly, I'll try these.
DId you get a chance to watch my Crop-A-Dile Big Bite video? It's listed under this one (click the arrow thingy to see all the links)
I love love this video. I have the crop a dile big bite but have yet to learn how to attach snaps. Would you happen to know how? Would you please show how to do so. Thanks in advance.
That would need to be a separate video -- I could have shown that in my Big Bite video, and I should have! Oversight.
@@LollyPalooza Ok thank you for sharing.
I've been making some projects with eyelets, but mostly tags and add them to rosettes for charms, TFS this so now I have ideas of what I can use them for.
Thanks so much!
Thank You 😃
nice to know! Yes, watch the other video --- very helpful
Yes, I sure will thank you so much
Great tips!! Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome! Many thanks for watching!
I'm waiting for my Crop A Dile to come in the mail. So many ideas. Thank you !
perfect!
That was brilliant......LOVE the idea of the eyelit TAB 👏👌👍 thakyouuuuuu x
You’re welcome 😊 Thanks so much
Yes please video on how you figure out how to set cropadile. Have watched several videos still confused. Thank you
I already did :) Look at the info under this video (click the arrow to see more under the video) there is my video on how to use the Crop-A-Dile
Tfs Lolly. Never would of thought of using the extra wide ones as a tab but it'll be a lot more durable than paper and I don't have to worry about it fraying after a lot of use.
The eyelet lacing is a great way to make laminated cash envelopes since most tapes and glues won't stick to the plastic for long. It gives them a more decorative touch than just sewing the edges with a machine too.
perfect. Great idea!
LOVE THE INFORMANTION ON THESE YOU WOULD NOT BELIVE THIS I ALWAYS HAVE TO COME BACK TO YOUR VIDEO TO REMEMBER THE EYE LETS AND GROMMETS TO BE ABLE TO USE MINE AGAIN THANK YOU
Glad to be able to help!
I love the way you explain. Thank you for your time.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much! Have probably had the crop a for 10 years and never figured out how to use it properly or had any good ideas about how to use eyelets. Between this video and your big bite video with instruction sheet for the crop a dile I understand. Thanks again:)
Glad I could help! I love hearing this!
Oh I just love your voice and the way you explain everything! I enjoyed your video. The thing I dislike about eyelets is the backside of them once they're set. I wish it looked neater, like grommets.
yes, it would be nice to have that smooth round "ring" appearance. Also -- make sure you watch the video I linked under this video on HOW to set perfect eyelets. That will help! Thank you for your kind comments!
You have great ideas and an appreciation for detail. Yes. The eyelet is more charming than a staple. Where have I been? I never heard of a tiny attacher. Of course, it would be a Tim Holtz product. I would love to see a video on how to set an eyelet. I don’t know why I can’t ever seem to set them perfectly. Thank you for the video.
many thanks! I am definitely going to do that video
Great video with so many ideas I would not have thought of. I have never used the wide eyelets, they are gorgeous!TYFS❣️
Aren't they such fun? Thanks for watching!
Oh my goodness - terrific - fun and informational, thanks Lolly!
You are so welcome! :)
This is the best info on what to do with eyelets. Great ideas I'll be putting to use. Thanks.
many thanks!
