Try using A1 to set a 3/16 eyelet and C3 for 1/8 eyelets. Mine always work fine on any type of paper using those settings. The eyelets are supposed to spread apart on the back of the tag, If they don't, they will fall right out of the hole.
Why are my 1/8 not spreading when using C3 setting? Im only going thru 2 pieces of regular copier paper weight so not thick! Yes I am using it with the base and top on the right sides but mine was not spreading idk why, any help would be appreciated!
@@karengill-je8hnWhen my eyelets don't spread, it's because I'm not pressing the Crop-a-dile hard enough. I go back and really press the handles together. They say you don't have to press hard, but I always have to. If that doesn't work, maybe try different eyelets. Sorry, I don't know any other reasons why they won't spread correctly.

I cannot believe you're doing this. I got one and im screwing up. Thanks you read my mind. Couldn't find the little ones in colors. I have a pack of memory keepers larger ones but I didn't punch them right. I hope this helps. I saved for months to get my cropadile and I was so upset. Didn't want to ruin a great tag. This tutorial is so welcome. I am hopeless when trying to figure this out. The instructions contained with the product were of no help to me, as I actually needed to see exactly how to use it and you did that. Many thanks🙏
I use A1 for my 3/16 hole. The back is suppose to spread out 'like a flower'. Spreading out helps keep the eyelet from eventually falling out. If it's 'smooth' it will eventually fall out because it's not gripping the paper like the one that spread out 'like a flower'... at least I think that's how it works. Also if you google we r memory keepers eyelet setter instructions, the Amazon link shows you the sizing for each type of eyelet. Thanks so much for sharing this video, it really helped!
Thank you for this Crop a Dile 101! I purchased this and received it today and had no clue how to use it! LOL. your video was great and now I am comfortable is using my Crop A Dile for my home made crafts.
Thanks for the video, Maggie. I own a crop-a-dile and always just hope for the best. 😂 I switch between 1/8” and 3/16” eyelets and am never sure if I put it back to the right settings. Throw in a rivet and I’m at a loss. Anyway, I got out my crop-a-dile and worked along with you and now feel more comfortable with it. Again, thank you. 🩷
Hi Barbara, that is so great! I’m so glad that you were able to try it along with me. I hope this helped you to feel more comfortable with it. Thanks so much for watching
Yes, you are the only one that I have seen explain this!! And I’ve had mine years! I played with it until it worked and then never changed the settings! I must use larger size rings all the time! I do like the look of! Have never seen some of the ones you showed but probably didn’t want to do anything to upset the settings either lol! Now that I know, I’ll write them down because I was always worried that they would get changed and I would need to test them all again until I found the right combo.! Hi Donna, I know what you mean. That’s how I was in the very beginning until I wanted to use the smaller size eyelets. i’m really glad that you found this video helpful. Thanks so much for watching Donna.
YOUR VIDEO IS THE BEST! I was just about to kick the stupid Crop-o-dile to the curb because it made me so frustrated! I looked at a couple of videos - including one by We R Memory Keepers, which was the most useless of the lot - when I finally watched yours. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this!
Hi Rachelle, I'm are so happy to know that this video helped you. I guess it helps coming from someone who was new to using it at the time. Thank you so much for watching! :) Maggie
Thank you so much. I keep on thinking that i can't follow directions. Since the back of mine always splitting. To remedy that I just hit it wit a hammer to flattened the rough edges. I would love to have mine turns out beautiful like yours - one of this days, after this maybe.
This is ironic because I've been so frustrated with my crop-a dile , just this week. It doesn't crimp the back correctly and i had no idea which thingy I needed to use for which size eyelit. It will ruin a project. So thank you for the information. Very helpful
I absolutely LOVE my crop-a-dile!! I've had mine for years, next to a paper cutter it's probably one of my most used tools. You did a great explanation 😊😊!

Hi, I"m a new subscriber! I don't know why this was recommended to me but I am so glad that I watched because, I have not used my WRMK crop a dile. Mine is teal and came in a kit with eyelets and a nice case- I think I got it off of HSN or JoAnns. I have watched many videos on this gadget but had not worked with it until today. I do not junk journal, but I make cards and art journals which are just with different types of paper: water color, mixed media etc. I decorated the covers. I bought my crop a dile mainly for tags believe it or not and to use in my card making. I got extra eyelets off of TEMU and they came in a nice little case too. I knew nothing about sizes so mine are all the larger size. The little ones are cute. Thank you, this was great!!!
Hello and welcome to my channel. I’m so glad you found this video helpful. I think card making is a beautiful art and is in a class of its own. Thanks so much for watching and hope you continue to enjoy my content. :) Maggie
I actually got rid of mine because of the intimidation. I’m a lot older now and a whole lot less intimidated by things so now I have to go out and find myself another. CAD! I think you might be my long, lost twin sister because you sound a lot like me. Lol.
Hi Karen, I really hope this helped and gives you a little more confidence with this tool. I’m no expert so be sure to read the comments for more tips and tricks. Thanks so much for watching
Love this video, I also have been struggling with the splitting in the back, this is very helpful! I made my daughter a journal that is a thin chipboard/heavier card stock and I glued fabric to it. I made a dangle chain to close it but have been putting off adding the eyelets because I don’t want to ruin the cover. My daughter told me it’s ok if it gets messed up because I am learning she said the journal is an original and she will love it either way 😊
Here you go: A1 for all 3/16” standard and oversized eyelets. B2 for all 1/8” round snap setter for all 1/8th standard snaps. C3 for 1/8” standard and oversized eyelets. D4 (flat setter) for all oversized, miscellaneous, and square shaped metal embellishments and snaps.😊
I’m so glad I stumbled on your video. I had not idea how to use my crop a dial. I didn’t even realize there were hole punches on the tops. 😂. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Cindy, I’m so glad that you found this video helpful. The hole punches are fantastic on this tool. They are very strong. Thank you so much for watching.
Thank you for this video. I have this tool and I sometimes think it’s hit or miss. It can be confusing. It’s great for punching holes though. I usually end up with the back feeling rough. I have not found the small eyelets yet. I like the wide rim eyelets.
I haven’t looked, but I think Amazon has everything. This might not be true though, of course. I got rid of my CAD but I plan to get another one now that I know a little more about how it functions. I was just using it for a hole punch, but it’s a pretty expensive hole punch if you ask me! Lol
I have one that I still haven’t opened yet. it’s the blue one or kind of turquoise color. The instructions have a cube chart showing the top cubes, A through D, and the base cubes, 1-4, and how to use them for the different sizes. A1 is for 3/16 and C3 is for 1/8. I really need to give mine a try. Why, oh, why, cannot get started is anybody’s guess. Thanks for the little demo. It’s helpful.❤
Maybe this video will give you the push and inspiration to start using your new toy! I don’t have one, but after watching this video, I’m tempted to save up for one! Just put the package in front of you and count backwards from five and when you hit the number one, you open it and get a piece of card stock and start using it. I have found this to help push me when I am procrastinating! No excuses to not do it when you hit the number one. You just have to be determined that there is no other option but to start when you get to that number. Lol.
Hi Laurie, I hope this video can give you a jump start. I love using mine. You know me, I put eyelets and dangles on almost everything! Lol So it’s an important tool on my desk.
I’ve also heard that the eyelets have little splits on the shaft, which make them flare out like a flower when you squeeze it. I think the ones that have a smooth shaft are actually grommets, which perhaps have a slightly different use. That’s why they crack when squeezed. The ones with the little splits are what you want to use. It’s amazing how these things take so much research, LOL.
I don’t think they mine have splits but once I figured out the setting they worked fine. Don’t throw out the other ones without testing them on the machine you have.💕
Hi Maggie great video...just wanted to say that someone told me there is eyelets that have a separate ring that goes on the back of the eyelets and the eyelet then wrap0s around that which keeps it from splitting........
great tips! When using the copy paper I just cut a matching top 1/4 piece of cardstock then set the eyelet. That gives the eyelet enough of a base to set it.
Thanks, I have the pink one but bought it 2nd hand with no instructions or eyelets. Being as i only paid $20 for it(i would never have been able to purchase it at normal prices) I'm determined to figure it out and your demo has given me some great ideas!
This was so helpful, I have one of the older Crop-A-Dile’s and have never been able to master it, but I followed your video and there is hope for me yet…lol Thank you for your knowledge!
Hi Theola, so regarding your question. Are you asking what would I use to hang a dangle? If that’s the case, I would probably punch a hole and insert a ring brad. I hope that helps. Let me know otherwise. :)
Great tutorial it helps a lot I have the pink handle they shift a little bit off the handle the really tiny eyelets I can’t buy in The Netherlands thank you!👏🏻👍🏻
@marijkerolink- if there’s nowhere in the Netherlands where you can find the crop-a-dile or something like it, I would be happy to buy it for you in the US and ship it to you. I could let you know the cost of shipping and you could send that to me when I ship it to you. Us crafters have to stick together, right?! I’d be more than happy to do it!
I have the green Crop -A- Dile, and I never notice the numbers or the letters on it, so when I get a chance. I am going to take a look to see if it's on mine. So, thank you for sharing this 😊.
I just discovered your channel yesterday and I have binge watching since. Our temp is -32 Celcius right now (-39 with windchill) (-25.5 F)/windchill -38.2F) and way too cold to be outside so this is a perfect way to spend my time. I live in Calgary, Canada. I enjoy listening to your voice which is very calming and you are extremely creative. One of my most favorite things to use is Tim Holtz paper dolls and you have great ways to use them. The hardest thing I find with the Crop-O-Dile is the lock as it is temper mental.
Yikes! I hear it’s beautiful up there but I don’t know if I could live with it being that cold. I’m having problems with just living in the 5° F temperature right now! (In St. Louis)
I watch another channel, called Prairie paper and ink and crafter lives somewhere close to Calgary. I believe and she works out in her garage and does her videos out there too, and always has space heaters around her to help lol. She’s a brave one and an excellent paper crafter if you guys want to watch, those kind of videos.
Hi Mary, welcome to my channel. I’m so happy you decided to join my little corner of the YT world. I hope you stay warm. Looks like it’s getting cold everywhere. I love using the TH paper dolls, it’s actually hard for me not to use them. I have the same problem with the lock on my Crop-A-Dile too. I wonder if there is a way to maybe tighten it? Thanks so much for watching :) Maggie
Thanks for the video! There’s an instruction pamphlet that came with my aqua crop-a-dile. I keep it in the drawer with the tool. That instruction pamphlet tells the combination of top and bottom to use for the size of eyelet. I checked their website and I don’t see where they have a downloadable file. If you’re missing yours I can scan it and send you a copy.
Hi Desiree, you’re so sweet. Thanks for the offer. I’m sure I have mine somewhere. I probably should’ve looked for it before I made the video. But thank you nonetheless
Thank you for this helpful video. My CAD is pink but the setters are all the same color (silver). I had the same problem with the splitting, I’m hoping this will help with that problem. 28:14
I know…that’s what was my problem with mine too. Depending on the angle I’m setting my eyelet the crop-a-dile will lock. I hope you found this helpful. Thanks for watching
I didn’t know about the lock either. That’s probably why mine would never fit back into its case very well! 😅 I’m not even sure where it is right now since I never really used it.
I don’t have one, but I used to, and I actually donated to some or some craft group because I didn’t know how to use it and I couldn’t figure it out. Silly, I know, but that was a long long time ago and now I want one again, so I’m gonna look into it but I know they are a bit pricey.
Hi Susan, I hope this video has given you some clarity on how to use the Crop-A-Dile. And if you do decide to purchase one don’t forget to refer back to the comments for more tips and tricks. Thanks for watching Susan
Great video. I learned a lot, I didn't even know the bottom had different sizes too, LOL. I saw a punch like this on Temu, but I didn't read the description, it was cheaper though.
I watched another video and she said the eyelets with a solid edge on the back will break because when pressed down there is no way for the eyelet to spread open. Look for eyelets that have a small fluted edge so when they are pressed down they already have a way to fan out. If that makes sense...also the directions say to use the post and bottom as follows A/1 B/2 C/3 D/4. The flat side B is for a flat top shaped decorative eyelet , the dome side D is for a dome top shaped decorative eyelet.
We R Memory Keepers has a Crop-A-Dile "cheat sheet" and video on their website. (Which is now under American Crafts) I wasn't sure if I was allowed to share the link here?? Anyhow, it's helpful too.
The back should split so that it stays firmly in place. As far as I know, every Crop a Dile is the same, there are even ones made of rose gold (the metal) or gold (the plastic). Craftelier indeed has very good own brand eyelets. Have you tried the wide one? Love those too.
One other tip I saw was to have your paper flipped to the backside when you punch your hole. That way the rougher side of the hole is on the underside, not on the pretty front, if that makes sense.
HI YOU DID A GREAT JOB TO EXPLAIN, BUT THIS MAKES ME FEEL IT'S TO COMPLACATED TO USE FOR ME! BRADS LOOK COOL. SO I'LL KEEP JUST PUNCHING A HOLE & THEN USE A PAPER CIRCLE RING ON BOTH SIDE OF THE PAPER. Do take care. Fl.
Really? I’ve never tried those so I don’t know how those work. Sorry those aren’t working for you. I hope someone will comment and try and help you out.
I beg to differ, I bought my Crop-A-Dile boxed kit in Lime Green in a Lime Green case. Might be due to buying it in Great Britain, or that it was over 2 decades ago? Mine also has metal hole depth adjusters with a knurled lock screw. FYI I use 'B' & 'D' for setting rivets.
I have a Crop-A-Dile, and I love the way eyelets look, but it's a very hit and miss tool and all because of the eyelets and/or the pressure you use. Sometimes you can hear it clamp down, sometimes not. Pressing too hard, too soft has made this an aggravating tool to use.
Hi Sharon, I hear ya. I know it has a lot to do with the quality of eyelets we use too. I’ve read that the eyelets that come with the washers turn out nice every time. I want to try those out. Thanks for watching
I get frustrated when it splits in the back because it is sharp feeling! I would feel bad if I gave that to someone and they cut themselves! So what I did the last time is I just put a little snippet of washi over it on the back...after i put my ribbon in it
@Valeri4561 Hi I don't normally add to someone's info on a video, but b/c you asked in this video I copied and pasted this from your other video. (the one with the window envelopes Tim Holtz style. I would like to give you a little hint. (I learned this by accident) The reason the eyelets from Hobby Lobby are spreading and rough is because you need to switch the bottom part of your Crop a Dile. So, if you dial the part of the Crop a Dile bottom part, (the part that smashes not the part that goes through the eyelets) Until you get to the flatter bump (you will know when you choose the correct one b/c your eyelet will be smooth on the back) You will be so happy! I know I was!! The way I found out is b/c my friend was with me learning to make journals and she accidentally moved that part. Voila!!! The eyelets were smooth!! Let me know if this helps you. :) PS I just discovered your channel and I really love it. :) Also after watching this video I edited this comment to add the bottom post should be on 2 Yours is on 3 which is a more raised surface and that's what causes the rough edge on the back of eyelets and also doesn't allow you to get a tighter fitting eyelet on thinner paper.
will the smaller post fit a 2mm eyelet? I am guessing it will only fit 3mm but am hoping it will fit 2mm. I can't seem to find a grommet tool that fits 2mm eyelets.
That’s really strange to think that there’s no letters or numbers engraved on them. They are exceptionally tiny so you should try using a really bright light and a magnifying glass or something and look again.
Hello, I bought some eyelets with a washer on amazon that are stainless steel and when i try to use it on my we r memory keepers crop-a-dile it does not flatten them. Am I supposed to only use their brand eyelets? I wanted to use stainless steel one's so they don't rust over time. Thank You
Hi Alaska, I’ve never tried using the stainless steel eyelets. I’ve purchased my eyelets from either Hobby Lobby in the sewing section for from Craftelier.com which are my favorite. I hope that helped you. Thanks for watching
I don’t know if this helps for those of you who do not want to see the back where it splits open, but I know there are several stamping/card making companies that sell a die where you can die cut some thing that covers it up.
Some eyelets come with washers for the back. They hide the splits and give a smoother and neater finish.
I’ll have to try those. Thanks so much for the tip Doreen
I thought I was the only person not successful with my cropodile, seems like trial an error is the way to go. Appreciate the demonstration

So glad it helped Evelyn. Thanks so much for watching
Just got one today, thank you so much for this video! I had zero clue how to use it. Now to get eyelets...
I'm so glad you found this video helpful! Thanks so much for watching
Great video, very helpful. Thank you!
Thanks for watching Michele
I’ve also heard that the eyelets have little splits on the shaft, which make them flare out like a flower when you squeeze it. I think the ones that have a smooth shaft are actually grommets, which perhaps have a slightly different use. That’s why they crack when squeezed. The ones with the little splits are what you want to use. It’s amazing how these things take so much research, LOL.
I agree. So many different uses and so many different grommets and eyelets. So crazy
I don’t think they mine have splits but once I figured out the setting they worked fine. Don’t throw out the other ones without testing them on the machine you have.💕
Good tip! Thanks. 😊@@donnacarraway9182
Tfs. You have explained everything very well.
Thank you so much for watching. I hope it helped
This was very Helpful!!!💜Thank you !
Awesome. Thanks so much for watching Jackie
A really useful video and the comments are constructive too - thank you
Hi Jennifer, I agree..I’m learning from the comments too. Thanks so much for watching
Hi Maggie great video...just wanted to say that someone told me there is eyelets that have a separate ring that goes on the back of the eyelets and the eyelet then wrap0s around that which keeps it from splitting........
Hi Kerry, I’ve seen those on Amazon. I’m going to have to try those out and see how those work. Thanks for sharing.
great tips! When using the copy paper I just cut a matching top 1/4 piece of cardstock then set the eyelet. That gives the eyelet enough of a base to set it.
That’s a great tip Karen. Thanks so much for sharing
I had one of these for months and never knew you could switch stuff like that! 😮
Glad this video was helpful. Thanks for watching Kelli
So very helpful!!! Thank you so much for posting! Be especially blessed!!! ♥
Hi Katherine, you are so welcome.. glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching
I had no idea it had a lock on it! Thanks
I’m so glad you found this helpful. Thanks so much for watching Tasha
Thanks, I have the pink one but bought it 2nd hand with no instructions or eyelets. Being as i only paid $20 for it(i would never have been able to purchase it at normal prices) I'm determined to figure it out and your demo has given me some great ideas!
I meant to put $15 as the price. Ipaid $20 for the cuttlebug which came with about 20 of those impression folders and 1 die cut.
Where do you guys find things like the CAD to purchase at a lesser cost? I have been unable to get the CAD because of its price.
Hi Kimberly, wow you scored both tools for a great price. I’m glad this video helped. Thanks so much for watching
@@susancerroni6671 I bought both of mine through Facebook marketplace
This was so helpful, thank you, very good directions, and I am finally able to use my crop-a-dial!
Glad you enjoyed this video. Thanks so much for watching Maria Elena
This was so helpful, I have one of the older Crop-A-Dile’s and have never been able to master it, but I followed your video and there is hope for me yet…lol Thank you for your knowledge!
I'm no expert, but I'm so happy to know that this video helped clarify a little bit for you. Thank you so much for watching
Thank you! This was sooooo helpful❤
I’m so glad. Thanks so much for watching Lisa
Thanks so much...this was very helpful!
I’m so glad you found this helpful. Thanks so much for watching Barbara
Thank you for explaining about crop a dile what would you use for dangles on journal spine . enjoyed video
Theola
Hi Marijke, I’m so glad you found this video helpful. The handle on mine also slides. Thank you so much for watching
What a great video, I have had my cropadile for months now and didnt even know you could change the blocks 🙈
I am so glad you found this video helpful. Thanks so much for watching :)
I have the green Crop -A- Dile, and I never notice the numbers or the letters on it, so when I get a chance. I am going to take a look to see if it's on mine. So, thank you for sharing this 😊.
I’m glad this video was helpful. Thanks so much for watching
I live close by and confirm the dastardly temperature. It went to -39 C this morning.
Stay warm!
Hi! This was on my Christmas list lol, I didn't get it but did get a gift card :) I need to go shopping, it looks handy!
Hi Jean, it’s definitely one of my most used tools. Thanks so much for watching
That was helpful. Ty.
Thanks so much for watching
Great video. Thank you!
Thanks so much for watching Carol
Clearly you must have heard my frustration yesterday when using mine for the first time 😂
Lol…I’m glad this video came right on time. I hope you found this helpful Vickie.
Thanks! I haven’t used a Crop-A-Dile yet, but I want to!
I hope this helped Rhonda! Thanks for watching
@@SunsetCrafts Yes, definitely!
Thank you for this helpful video. My CAD is pink but the setters are all the same color (silver). I had the same problem with the splitting, I’m hoping this will help with that problem. 28:14
Thanks so much for watching Cindy. I really hope this really does help
This so so very helpful, thanks🤩
Thanks so much for watching Stephanie
I buy my eyelets at Craftelier, too and they're really good and affordable. I like them even better than the memory keepers' ones :)
I completely agree. They are so much better!
This is really useful! Thank you! 😊
Glad you enjoyed it Yvonne. Thanks for watching

Hi new subbie here thank you so much for this tutorial you explain how to use the crop a dile perfectly tfs ❤️ Alison
Hi Alison, welcome to my channel. I'm so glad you found this video helpful. I hope you continue to enjoy my content. Thanks so much for watching
OMGOSH the lock! I didn’t know and I think that’s what is wrong with the one I have...
That lock could be a trickster. Lol :)
Love this new series ❤
So glad you are enjoying these videos Colleen. Thanks so much for watching
Great tips, thank you!

Very helpful video!
Glad you liked it Emily. Thanks so much for watching
Love this type of videos thanks for sharing ❤ btw my is purple
Thanks so much for watching. I’ve never seen a purple one. Very cool.

Great video. I learned a lot, I didn't even know the bottom had different sizes too, LOL. I saw a punch like this on Temu, but I didn't read the description, it was cheaper though.
Hi Leslie, if you can find something similar at a better price…jump on it. I’m glad you enjoyed this video. Thanks for watching

Hello, thank you for the share. I plan on getting one, but not sure which one or name brand.
Hi Deborah, the name brand is We R Memory Keepers. I’m glad you enjoyed this video. Thanks for watching
Thanks Maggie i I just bought one. And i have two others some of my eyelets have like little washers.
One of mine is two pieces and you use a hammer.
It works good actually . The manual one.
Thanks for watching Isabel
I watched another video and she said the eyelets with a solid edge on the back will break because when pressed down there is no way for the eyelet to spread open. Look for eyelets that have a small fluted edge so when they are pressed down they already have a way to fan out. If that makes sense...also the directions say to use the post and bottom as follows A/1 B/2 C/3 D/4. The flat side B is for a flat top shaped decorative eyelet , the dome side D is for a dome top shaped decorative eyelet.
Hi Alyson, thanks for the tips. I’m sure this will help a lot of us. Thanks so much for watching
We R Memory Keepers has a Crop-A-Dile "cheat sheet" and video on their website. (Which is now under American Crafts) I wasn't sure if I was allowed to share the link here?? Anyhow, it's helpful too.
Thanks for the tip Michele
Thank you! 💕
TFS it helped 👍🏼
Thanks so much for watching Lue
The Cropadile comes with instructions. A actually goes with 1, B goes with 2, C goes with 3 etc. and it’s pretty easy
Thanks for watching Louis
The back should split so that it stays firmly in place.
As far as I know, every Crop a Dile is the same, there are even ones made of rose gold (the metal) or gold (the plastic).
Craftelier indeed has very good own brand eyelets. Have you tried the wide one? Love those too.
Hi Lucyverre, I’ve seen the rose gold one..very fancy. I have tried the wide one..I tried it on video. They are fantastic. Thanks for watching
You need to reinforce your hole when the paper is thinner. You can also take and hammer the back side down.
Hi Teresa, thanks for the tip
One other tip I saw was to have your paper flipped to the backside when you punch your hole. That way the rougher side of the hole is on the underside, not on the pretty front, if that makes sense.
That does make sense. I’ll have to try it out. Well looks like you have a lot of tips and tricks to try when you finally open yours. Lol
Absolutely! ❤@@SunsetCrafts
Fl.
Hi Jean, no worries. This tool may not be for everyone and that’s ok. I appreciate you being kind about it. Thanks so much for watching
TFS ❤❤❤
Thanks for watching Robin
I have some eyelets with the washer for the back think they are 3/16 cannot get them to work, I have tried different combinations and still stuck.
Thanks for watching!
I've seen it in 4 colors now: Aqua (they call it blue), light pink, bright pink and a rose gold with pink handles.
You are absolutely right. Thanks for watching
Can you also set snaps with the crop a dile ?
Hi Wanda, I don’t think so. I believe it’s only for setting eyelets.
@@SunsetCrafts thank you !
Which eyelets are the best quality for the best price.?
Hi Pat, I really like the eyelets from Craftelier.com. The prices are great. The shipping is about 5.99. I hope that helps.
I get frustrated when it splits in the back because it is sharp feeling! I would feel bad if I gave that to someone and they cut themselves! So what I did the last time is I just put a little snippet of washi over it on the back...after i put my ribbon in it
That was actually a great idea! I think I would’ve gotten frustrated with it and smashed it with a hammer! Lol
Hi Kelly, what I used to do was get some flat pliers and flatten it down that way. Lol
I hope this video helped at least a little. Thanks for watching
I noticed at the bottom of the eyelets they have little slits. Do the eyelets that don't have those slits work in the crop a dile?
Hi Jana, yes they do. I have tried both kinds and haven't had a problem with either kind. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching
@Valeri4561
Hi I don't normally add to someone's info on a video, but b/c you asked in this video I copied and pasted this from your other video.
Thanks again Valerie. So glad you are enjoying my channel. Thanks for watching
will the smaller post fit a 2mm eyelet? I am guessing it will only fit 3mm but am hoping it will fit 2mm. I can't seem to find a grommet tool that fits 2mm eyelets.
Hi, I am not sure. I’ve never tried it. I don’t want to give false information. I’m sorry I couldn’t help
ty@@SunsetCrafts
I can’t see any numbers or letters on my cubes. Trying to set a 3/16 eyelet.
They are engraved to you might have to turn it towards the light to see them. I know it could be a little difficult to see.
Not seeing any numbers or letters either no matter the light…but thank you for the help I was now able to at least make holes and add eyelets…fun!😅🤗
That’s really strange to think that there’s no letters or numbers engraved on them.
They are exceptionally tiny so you should try using a really bright light and a magnifying glass or something and look again.
I think the metals have a lot to do with it. A pewter is a very hard metal as opposed to gold and silver, which are softer.
Thanks Jacquie
Hello, I bought some eyelets with a washer on amazon that are stainless steel and when i try to use it on my we r memory keepers crop-a-dile it does not flatten them. Am I supposed to only use their brand eyelets? I wanted to use stainless steel one's so they don't rust over time. Thank You
Hi Alaska, I’ve never tried using the stainless steel eyelets. I’ve purchased my eyelets from either Hobby Lobby in the sewing section for from Craftelier.com which are my favorite. I hope that helped you. Thanks for watching
I have gotten eyelets on EBay
Thanks for the tip Flo
Amozon has them at good price I buy mine there compatible ones
Thanks for the tip! :)
Hobby Lobby offers them for $12 quite frequently.
I don’t know if this helps for those of you who do not want to see the back where it splits open, but I know there are several stamping/card making companies that sell a die where you can die cut some thing that covers it up.
Hmmm… I would be interested in this die! If anyone knows what the name of this particular die is, I’d be grateful! Have a blessed day.
I wonder if she’s talking about a hole reinforcement?
