    • @LollyPalooza

      I thought about it but wasn't sure if it would catch on all the wrinkles. I would have sent it through by feeding the flat end in first though

    I’ve seen people run it back through the laminator. It smooths things out & on some projects that you use punches on it tends to separate, it will relaminate in that situation. I’m glad your flat iron worked. I really enjoy your channel.!

    Lowly, I’m not sure if it will work with this or not but I saw on another RUclips video where someone used their easy press and a towel to get a similar item flattened and not burned. If you don’t have one, I think a regular iron would do the same thing. Place the laminated napkin in a towel and iron it on top of the towel. That may be easier than the flat iron. Just a suggestion. 💁‍♀️🤷‍♀️🙋‍♀️

    Re crinkles? feed it back though the laminator???? although I thought the flat iron was an inspired idea!!! Re cutting edges-as a teacher who has made thousands of cards over 45 years, either with Contact or laminating, I ALWAYS leave a few mm border around the cards when I cut them...that is where the plastic is melted together-otherwise the pieces separate and peel away over time. Love the idea of laminating napkins...I have a tonne that need to be used up and I can make lots and lots of bookmarks!!!!!

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  5 лет назад

      yes, I've always left a border, too, and I'm amazed at how many comments I've received telling me about projects they make and they cut right on the edge of the paper. Scares me! :)

    • @LollyPalooza

      I thought about it, and I would have sent it through the flat end first

      @@LollyPalooza Hi Lolly :-) . . . yes, that's what I was thinking too. I hope I didn't offend or anything. Lolly, these are great! FYI...The “ Hello Kitty” folks are VERY touchy about using their images. If you attempt to sell their images, they may cause you some issues. This is the only company that I am aware of right now that may go after folks for copyright issues. Please be careful and aware of it.

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, I recently found out that even if I make something with a copyrighted image and GIVE it away (instead of selling), it's still considered "distribution" and is illegal unless granted permission. Scary!

    • @susiescraftroomandstudio
      @susiescraftroomandstudio 5 лет назад

      Lolly Palooza it is! Hello Kitty is the only company I know of that gets really perturbed and will prosecute. Most don’t care. Everything is copyrighted! All of our supplies are copyrighted. Seriously, almost nobody cares. If you write and ask for permission, most will think you are crazy. I don’t know why they are so touchy.

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  5 лет назад

      good ideas. You could do that with foam dots, but it would just mean the journal would not close flat :)

    • @chrisharrison5974

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  5 лет назад

      I use varying strengths of waxed linen. This is either a two or three ply. I have thicker ones for bigger projects, too. The tapestry needle is an 18 guage. I have a set of the 18 guage needle and waxed linen in my shop www.etsy.com/listing/664561558/waxed-linen-cord-with-tapestry-needle but this cord is 4 ply, which I usually use for harder projects

    • @LollyPalooza

      Not sure what you mean -- do you mean the one that separated? I could not have reused the piece that came off, as it had napkin stuck to that side, too, but I could have removed half a laminate side from a new sheet and used that to run the napkin back through the machine
