    these movements will definetly help, from someone whos had it since i was 14, certain stretching and exercise is needed in order to maintains scoliosis.

    Ths s really helpful..iv bin suffering backpain for a long time due to my scoliosis n i cnt do nothing about it..ths video wl surely help me ease the pain..is there a chance na macorrect ba doc by only doing excersice even at my old age..thank u

    Hey Doc, thanks for the informative video!
    This stretch looks almost exactly like the one promoted by Ed Paget in his Scoliosis Correction Protocol. I have an idiopathic scoliosis myself, and have been wanting to start an exercise routine for it, but I have been discouraged for the fear that I'll end up causing it to progress even further. That being said, I do have a few questions:
    1) Do you prescribe these exercises to your own patients?
    2) Is this exercise intended to stop progression, reduce curvature, or just alleviate symptoms?
    3) Have you personally seen results that speak to the efficacy of this exercise?
    4) Would this exercise be helpful for structural scoliosis? So many of us with structural curves are used to hearing that short of surgery, nothing can be done.

      I'll be happy to answer your questions:

      Yes, we recommend different sets of exercises depending on their condition.
      2) Is this exercise intended to stop progression, reduce curvature, or just alleviate symptoms?
      Yes to all BUT it really depends on the patient's condition or scoliosis grade/degree.
      These exercises are recommended for those who have mild to moderate cases.
      3) Have you personally seen results that speak to the efficacy of this exercise?
      Yes, we have seen great results as we provide a holistic approach to our patients.
      Aside from Chiropractic Care, we also provide Physical Therapy and Laser Treatment depending on their condition. As part of our aftercare, we recommend exercises that they can do in the comforts of the home.
      4) Would this exercise be helpful for structural scoliosis? So many of us with structural curves are used to hearing that short of surgery, nothing can be done.
      For mild to moderate cases, a structured exercise program, good mobility, and stability workout, and great chiropractic care are vital components of treatment.
      For severe cases --- these may require bracing or surgery depending on the patient's condition.
      It is important to note that you should first exhaust all your non-operative means of care first.

    I'm new to your channel doc and I find it really helpful. I just found out that I have mild scoliosis and I'm already 30 years old. According to my ortho doctor, they can't put braces on me because I'm already 30. He said that I can do exercise and drink some vitamins for calcium and drink milk as well. Is it okay for me to exercise alone or it is better with the physical therapist?

      You can do the exercises on your own (from our scoliosis playlist) BUT it is important to note that if any of these exercises cause increased pain such as sharp shooting or intense pain, please discontinue immediately.
