Hello, I've been watching your videos all of 2022. Trying vigorously to rid myself of all the pain I have in my neck and back. A lot of my pain comes from constantly bending over all day and looking down. So I bought a spine board. Would you have any recommendations or suggestions about it? I don't think it's working and it's quite painful. A video on your thoughts about it and other items out on the market aimed at us people with pain that doesn't actually work would be awesome so we aren't out here using our little money on items that won't actually help us.
I'm a 60 year old man and have been dealing with scoliosis since about 13 and the pain that often goes with it. Recently I told my PCP that I had back pain due to my scoliosis and he said that he hadn't heard of scoliosis causing pain. I've had him as a doctor for 15 years and I think it might be time to get a new doctor. Thanks for your videos.
Your doctor clearly doesn't have a clue. I have thoracolumbar Levoscolios with a 41° curve. I've shattered my elbow, broken my collarbone and brought 3 children into this world. I would rather experience all three of those things simultaneously than deal with the pain I am experiencing due to scoliosis.
I am 47 and i have severe scoliosis I just got award at my disability my spine is literally protruding from my back I have had no surgeries no physical therapy nothing at all just paint your video has helped immensely I thank you from the bottom of my heart
I've had scoliosis for the last 35 years since I was 11 and every now and then I check to see if there's any new solutions on RUclips. This is one of the best videos I've seen in years. Just watching your videos I know it's going to feel so good to perform these.
I have C-shape scoliosis and was in deep pain, about to go to a doctor for check up, until I tried this exercise. Amazing that it worked for me! It reduced my pain. I am doing it everyday and is helping alleviate my back pain. Thank you so much Doc for this video 👍
I was in excruciating pain and about to go to the emergency room because I didn’t know what was wrong. I stumbled upon this page and after doing all of these exercises, the lower back pain went from a pain level of 10, to a pain level of about 5. I couldn’t even sleep. I’d wake up and be in sever muscle pain. Now I know where all of the pain is originating from. I’ll make an appointment but today there’s no need to go to the emergency room. This is because of THIS VIDEO HERE. Thank for sharing these techniques!!!
Find out which leg is shorter than the other and lift it with an lift on the sole. Look at your shoulders, when they are level or at the same height the lift is correct. Then exercise and stretch.
See my above post if you don't like having scoliosis. It is often a bone against bone misalignment in the hip, shifting your hip forward and making 1 leg appear longer. Few chiros even know this and how to adjust it. It kills their business too.
I want to add a thank you as well. Those of us who were around prior to the internet may have searched far and long with no results and a bunch of people who were ignorant on the subject. We are so lucky this day and age to know and here from and listen to doctors like yourself! I would love to have you on my podcast. I am doing daily exercises and have gained an inch in my 50's! And I want to be the height I was meant to be prior to idiopathic scoliosis.
You are doing some life changing work 🙌🏾 I have never felt my back open up like this before. I have no pain unless I try to sit “straight” but I do have a 25• curvature that severely affects my confidence. I am not kidding after two exercises I see improvement. Thank you so much 🙏🏽 you are changing lives
Unbelievable! This is what I needed! I was dx as an adult with scoliosis with a mild curvature on my left side like a "C". My twin brother and I were born with polio back in the mid 50s; neither of us learned to walk until we were almost 6- 7yrs. Thankfully we had pretty good therapy back then, and my brother went on into the Navy and I became a ballet dancer, though I couldn't stay long, but long enough to really enjoy it. It helped tremendously in walking, exercise, posture, etc. But good therapy for scoliosis is somewhat difficult to find. But I'm grateful to have found your channel!❤
Wow!! Why was I never taught these things? I found out in 7th grade I had scoliosis, nothing was ever done for it. I'm almost 51 now and in pretty bad shape, but I'm still going to start doing these every day. Not sure, but I know I'm pretty twisted up so I guess I'll try double duty and hopefully it's not too late!! Thank you!! 🙏🙏🙏
I also found out as an adolescent and I am now the same age as you. Nothing was ever done for my scoliosis and the pain is becoming a problem. Osteopenia doesn’t help either. Hopefully this helps for me and for you!
Just try this exercise. Many got cured by doing this exercise. I hope you will get benefit from it too. ruclips.net/video/qjSllPcEooU/видео.htmlsi=8ApXaQjv2gEsQQPL

What an excellent set of exercises! Now I've got a cohesive plan. Thank you so much for appearing on my screen today! Yay! I think I'm standing straighter and more comfortably with just one go-around of these.

When you're someone like me who's JUST found out that you have Scoliosis its a huge shock to the system especially if you haven't had much health problems in that sense in the past. I'm to have x-rays to confirm it in a few week's time I think, so then its on to doing these physio exercises. To relieve the pain, strengthen the muscles and straighten the spine so it doesn't get worse as I get older and I'm already late twenties. But I'm glad we found it now rather than much further on in life.
This was so incredibly helpful! Especially the pelvic tilt exercise, I have an insole to lift it but I’ve never been given a movement for it. I’m curious about any exercises you have for people who have a twist in their scoliosis
Doing heavy deadlift helped massively with my scoliosis pain, maybe not everyone can do it because my case is not severe, the pain was severe and making the spinal erector stronger helped (I guess). Love your videos 😀
Dr. Rowe...you are a Godsend! I have scoliosis where my spine goes to the right...but recently, I was also told that at L3, I am bone on bone. Just this morning, I had my husband put good ole Aspercream all over my rhomboid and I have had such pain in my lower left back. I gotta tell you that just by doing the circles, I felt a release of my right side which REALLY hurt at first but I kept doing it. I will also do the rest of the exercises as well. Who knew there were even exercises for scoliosis? So again, thank you for this. Are you SURE you don't want to move to PA? Take care and God Bless!
This is great. I have realised that I have scoliosis. My low back is very painful and laying down is difficult. I am going to try the exercises. Thank you so much.
@@DrRowe Thank you. I can't do them all as I have limited use of my right arm after breaking it at the top in four places last year and I also broke my left arm 16 years ago and have a metal arm socket nearly to my elbow, so I can only do some. Perhaps the falls and breaks are the cause in the first place🤔I have had lots if X rays, one radiographer said that my spine is not straight, but that's it😞 should I be diagnosed and is there any treatment? I only realised when your video popped up on my feed.
Thank you I am a senior over 65 and have scoliosis since 2013 I find it's hard to find a good PT that really knows about this issue. Glad I found you between the other person on Y Tube who is quite informative and you I hope I can feel much better soon doing my stretches at home . I also did the Stroth method which helped me with learning how to breathe while doing my stretches. Thank you again
You are an amazing blessing for making these self empowering videos available. I have given up on going to any of the chiropractors in my area since I no longer find any of them valuable for what they charge and what they do in 5-9 minutes by treating the chart rather than what's in front of them. Grateful that you provide these exercise remedies that can be done from home. 🙏 Do you have a video for what can be done from mattress island if the neck pinches/hurts too much to even move/roll or get up from bed?
Thank you so much. I'm a 34 years old and I have severe scoliosis. I'm in so much pain I can't sleep I can't stand I can't sit. I'm in pain 24-7 😢. I've been to therapy and it was nothing like this. They mostly focused on my core. My doc won't do surgery because I'm to young. I don't understand because children hospital wanted to do surgery when I was 15. Again thank you. Getting out of bed to start this right now.
I'll be trying these exercises starting tomorrow morning. It's the first time I've watched a video of someone who properly takes into consideration that the two sides of muscles are different and need specific help. I always struggle to know when I'm holding my body or back in a straight position or the correct position for an exercise, because my back isn't straight. So it feels impossible for me to know when I'm holding myself straight. I hope these exercises will help me regain some of the mobility on my compacted side. Fingers crossed!
@@msyy2719 I still need to keep doing the for longer, I think. While I haven't noticed any pain relief from these, I do feel more capable of moving my compacted side (it's still compacted, but it's definitely regained some mobility because it had almost none). I've also noticed that I'm more aware of my posture when I'm walking around during the day, so I am self correcting often, which feels like it's getting more natural. Before if I tried to hold my posture better, it was agony within seconds, and I don't have that anymore. I still can't hold it for long, but it's definitely longer and less painful, so I'm hoping that eventually it will increase in length I can maintain it. It's helped me realise that my core is very overstretched so it's not holding my position well at all. I think it's definitely worth doing these exercises. Some days it hurts too much to do it long, and I still struggle knowing if I'm holding the correct position during them, but it seems to be helping so something must be going right!
Thankyou for making this video, I tried it two times now! I didn’t know I had scoliosis and was having a really bad backpain everyday. My husband told me and he notice I have a bad posture. Now I feel lil bit better❤
Hi! I have a S-curve and recently developed lower back pain due to my large curve at the bottom that is not operated on. Been looking for some stretches (while standing) that will help relieve the pain and these really helped a lot! thank you!!
This is the best group of exercises I have seen for Scoliosis . You have many other good exercises on your play list. Can you recomend any of your other videos on you list if a person wanted to add on to this great video.
This is the first time I have watched this video. and I like it I shall watch it again to be sure I UNDERSTAND it properly. Thank you. LK from Canada ❤😊 13:27
Thanks Doc, this one is for me. I’m not curled up like a boiled shrimp, but do have a little slight bend. It still give me a bit of a problem. I appreciate you.
Have you corrected scoliosis with your clients? You might have that slight deviation in your back, and I wonder to what extent your exercises have helped fix it. I may be wrong, as I am not a Dr.. Do braces help?
I’ve had lower back pain for a year since I started gaining a lot of weight. I thought it was just the sciatic nerve due to weight gain and lifting weights but my X-ray showed mild scoliosis and I had NO idea. According to my Dr scoliosis causes no pain, I can barely walk. Can’t sleep. Can’t work. I have constant pain. This is helping but took me some time to be able to do all this because the pain is NO joke.
Thank you very much for the exercises. I have severe S curve scoliosis as a senior. Not getting help. I will try your exercises and hope it help with pain. Thank you so mush. 😊

I have a thoracolumbar radiocolopathy due to scoliosis.... previously i suffered severed pain on my right leg and lower back pain but after following exercises from your video im able to ease the pain now.thank you so much
First of all, many thanks for your fantastic videos, they're really helpful for me! 🙏🏻👏🏻 Just a quick question: I've a thoracic scoliosis since the age of about 14. My rib hump is on the right side, is it correct that this side is my convex side then? My right side is stronger, my left side the weaker one. Lots of greetings from Germany and again many thanks for your great help! 😍
Hi, can you explain why it's the convex side that needs to be strengthened rather than the concave side? I thought it would be the other way around: to strengthen the concave side so that it starts pulling more on the spine to a straighter position.
Thank you very much! It's the best explanation and demonstration I found for the different special cases of skoliosis - and I like the very practicable excercises, which I can practice during the whole day, where ever I go, stand, work, wait. I felt relief within a short time. A great addition for physical therapy. Top!
Thank you, just watched this video, going to start today, listening and thinking about your instructions, they make sence, can't wait to get started, thanks from New Zealand, Barbs
I have a genetic curve in my spine. I am now 76 and in excellent condition except for the fact, as I know my fellow suffers can certainly testify to and identify with! Getting up in the mornings are not fun! Some other things you may want to try is turmeric and cayenne which you can order on line from Bulk Supplements at a reasonable price (but I would strongly suggest that you start on a small amount and give it about thirty minutes to see how your back feels - DO NOT OVER DUE THIS STUFF - but it helps me a lot!) Good luck and may God bless!
How would I alter your exercises to treat “S” scoliosis. May I send you a recent x-ray? Would a warm-up or stretch routine before your exercises be beneficial?
not sure if i have scoliosis but these stretches are great!! im a mechanic and lately my lower back has been hurting i just did every stretch on this video and i feel like im flexible for the first time in years lol
I devloped scoliosis of the spine after an accident on a trampoline as a kid i caught a ball my brother threw to me i landed on my back knees close to my face and arms in air i landed on my neck i hard a snap and couldn't move i was about 14 yrs old my brother 3 yrs older then me had to drag me back home good thing home was next door i was in bed for like a month barely being able to walk my scoliosis was not diagnosed until i was in my mid 20's i have a C shape curvurture of the spine it's quite painful going to do your exercises and see if that helps ty for all your information and gl to u all out there dealing with this also. take care everyone.
Awesome I’m hoping this prevents me having scoliosis correction surgery. Also t age 60 I really don’t want to but I’m have many compression fractures due to osteoporosis!

They mostly focused on my core. My doc won't do surgery because I'm to young. I don't understand because children hospital wanted to do surgery when I was 15. Again thank you. Getting out of bed to start this right now.
Did you get some relief…?
I'll be trying these exercises starting tomorrow morning. It's the first time I've watched a video of someone who properly takes into consideration that the two sides of muscles are different and need specific help.
I always struggle to know when I'm holding my body or back in a straight position or the correct position for an exercise, because my back isn't straight. So it feels impossible for me to know when I'm holding myself straight.
I hope these exercises will help me regain some of the mobility on my compacted side. Fingers crossed!
How is it going ?
Thank you in advance for another year of helpful vids. Happy 2023 to you and yours!
Happy New Year!
May 2023 be one of the best years of your life!
I've just found out I have it... I plan to correct it with these types of exercises ... thanks!

Been looking for some stretches (while standing) that will help relieve the pain and these really helped a lot! thank you!!
I too have the S curve. Not much help from back dr at all. Even phys therapy is the wrong kind that doesn't help.
This is the best group of exercises I have seen for Scoliosis . You have many other good exercises on your play list. Can you recomend any of your other videos on you list if a person wanted to add on to this great video.

Have you corrected scoliosis with your clients? You might have that slight deviation in your back, and I wonder to what extent your exercises have helped fix it. I may be wrong, as I am not a Dr.. Do braces help?
Thank you for your excellent, clarifying and super helpfull tutorials! Love from the Netherlands

First of all, many thanks for your fantastic videos, they're really helpful for me! 🙏🏻👏🏻
Just a quick question: I've a thoracic scoliosis since the age of about 14. My rib hump is on the right side, is it correct that this side is my convex side then? My right side is stronger, my left side the weaker one. Lots of greetings from Germany and again many thanks for your great help! 😍
The outside of the curve is the convex side, or the direction the curve is traveling.
@@DrRowe Many thanks for that super quick reply! :-)
Heir mich, bitter. I had it 40 years. Cured in 15 min. See my above post and replies about hip bone misalignment adjustment. Sacryliac.
Ty, I will try this, I've had mid back pain, and think it is weak muscles and scoliosis (from teen yrs), physio massage did not help, ty again ! 👌💟
All Your Videos help me very much! Thank You! Your Videos help me a lot. They are Excellent.
If you could slow down just a little bit when you speak that would help me but that's not a criticism. I'm so grateful for your videos.
Thank you soooooo much😘 God bless U always!😚
Thanks for watching!
Top!
What a good excise for siactic nerves in lower left side suffer from it for 2 years as I was my dad's carer he has now pass appreciated your advice

Thanks for the tip. Starting Turmeric.
Thanks for sharing us it helps a lot
Your exercises are really really good. Doctor
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing Sir!
Happy to help, and thanks for watching!
Its getting to the point where I struggle to do housework and have to take several breaks. I'm going to try these warm ups.
I have the same issues....hope this helps.

Thank you for the video! You are saving lives for real ❤
Thanks so much for watching and Happy New Year!
Thank thsnk you 😢 I appreciate these exercises. I no longer have pain.
Wonderful!
Thank you for sharing this tips for scolliosis🙏🙏🙏
I crack my back everytime it hurts but I think I need a chiropractor to make this pain go away.
A chiropractor can get you aligned and find any other underlying conditions, but it'll take specific exercises and time to make the pain go away.
Dr Rowe, you are wonderful. Do you suggest anything for chronic headaches?
Happy new year Doctor! I appreciate you for always sharing your knowledge, it means the world. Much love from Latin America!
Happy new year!
Thank you so much Doctor Rowe 🙏🏻
Heck yeah, you have perfect timing. Just went to a chiropractor. Time to put in the work. Thanks
Hope the exercises help!
As someone with scoliosis I am grateful ❤️
