    Nice video
    If you run into issues with the new clutch as many of us warrior boys have. Add an extra steel plate to your pack and get rid of the waved spring washers. In my build I learned quick that the tolerance in the clutch was not great. Doing this has changed my Warriors (THE UNFINISHED)performance like crazy.Just a little Insight on the warrior, there is also a Raptor clutch cable mod that makes the clutch pull awesome as well. You can research both of these mods on line.
    Love this little quad 👍👍

      thanks I considered leaving the spring rings out, I dont normally run them on my banshee or raptor either but I was trying to go by the book for this video.

      TrailBlogger;
      I went with the heavy duty springs and high end EBC clutch. Biggest issue was heat and hard shifting thus the full synthetic BelRay Thumper Racing oil 10 W50 ,took care of all issues. Maybe theres an oil cooler mod in this machines future
      Take care👍

      those are good tips I ran an EBC on my old blue 2000 warrior. This is mainly a ranch quad for my dad to cruise around. oil cooler mod does sound like a good idea!

    Thank you so much for these informational diys. Helps me out a lot on my new to me 03 warrior. Just did the clutch replacement but i didnt have an extra flap locking washer that flaps over the nut holding the clutchpack on. Both flaps broke off when trying to bend them back over the nut. I used an impact driver to drive the nut on like you did. You think ill have a problem with the nut coming loose? Thanks again

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  5 лет назад

      I would order the part to fix it correctly and use a torque wrench not an impact driver if possible. I should not have used the impact my torque wrench broke so I had no choice

    I haven't done it yet but it doesn't look to to hard...another detailed video by the man..im having clutch issues..goes into reverse but not foward gears..indont think I'm getting enough pull with my clutch cable

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  6 лет назад +1

      that actually sounds more like the reverse is not disengaging with is common. the reverse lever can be a pain if its not lubed up and working properly. try lifting up on it moving it back and forth then holding it forward and rock the buggy forward and back if you can. sometimes just rolling the quad forward or back like a half inch lets it drop right back into forward gear. if you have not taken the reverse all part and oiled it I Would suggest that

    • @GoKartsorGoneFishin

      Nice..man your awesome..i gave you a few shout outs in a future video for all the help..im a small timer but I hope u get 1 or 2 subs from me..thx for the ideas and tips man👍

      Good morning...hope all is well..idk man..it goes in and out of reverse fine..but it won't go into forward gears at all..goes into neutral and rolls freely..it is real easy to pull the clutch linkage..i can engage with one finger..i don't think it's engaging...penny for your thoughts?..thx

    Ok so on the Rocky Mountain atv video of changing a clutch on the warrior he put the friction plate with no notch (thicker one ) in first and you put yours in last does this matter ?

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  4 года назад

      I don't think it matters but I would follow the RMATV video anyhow. They really know their stuff! I've never had a problem with any of my warrior clutches and I've had 4 or 5 now lol

    Yo do you think 3-4K is a good price for a modded banshee or a slightly modded raptor 660r? Which one do you think would be the best for trails and short travel?

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  6 лет назад

      I would have to see it in person but 3k is an ok deal if the banshee is in perfect running order. Really depends on the area

    • @trailblogger

      RipNDip depends on mods and who did the work.

    I'm looking to change my clutch plates on my ltz400, should I do anything different from your video? 🤔

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  6 лет назад

      I've never done one on a 400 but I bet it's pretty similar. you might want to invest in a clutch holder tool instead of the the old impact driver lol

    • @kenstv1415
      @kenstv1415 6 лет назад

      TrailBlogger Yeah it looks the same to what I've did when I took a look at everything, just not 100% sure about how the plates go on and if they go on by steps or numbers or thickness etc... I don't need a clutch holder, I used a good old screwdriver to keep it locked in one spot to break free the nut. Lmfao 🤘

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  6 лет назад

      Ken's TV I was able to find a pdf of the service manual for the warrior through Google. Bet you can find one for the z as well if you arent sure on the install order

    It looks like the guy on the Rocky Mountain video didn’t align the marks on the plates

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  4 года назад +1

      I'm not sure it really matters. Just makes it easier to keep the front and back plate in alignment when you go to sandwich it all back together.

    • @silly-xd8uq
      @silly-xd8uq 4 года назад +1

      TrailBlogger does it matter where you put the friction plate with no marks?

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  4 года назад +1

      @@silly-xd8uq i would do it the way Rocky mountain recommends. It's their product. I put the thicker plate on last and it seems to work fine but I see they put it on be first.

  • @michaelthomas788

    You said those three things make up the clutch kit bulshit what about the clutch plates when I replace the clutch or replace everything clutch plates and basket if necessary it's a lot more expensive that way it's like a 165$ bucks for the basket with the springs and the clutches and plates

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  5 лет назад

      Basket was fine. Quick clutch change plates included

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  5 лет назад +1

      if you look closely at 2:45 you can see the steel plates in the bottom of the package.

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  5 лет назад +1

      now pause at 12:36 you will see there is very minimal grooves on the clutch basket fingers so we chose to run it again versus replacing it which would indeed be more expensive. thanks for watching michael

  • @yourbitch7809
    @yourbitch7809 5 лет назад +1

    might seem silly but can someone actually explain a scenario where you would need this done is this causing trouble engaging from one gear to another?

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  4 года назад

      Sorry for the late reply. The clutch plates can wear to the point the machine will actually not move forward as the clutch pack is slipping inside. Typically you'll notice it during hard launches first or on a steep hill. The machine will seem like it's losing power.

      Don't forget to get yourself a clutch cover gasket as they usually fall apart when you're taking the clutch cover off unless it's been done lately. I almost always use a new clutch cover gasket though they are cheap.

    • @trailblogger
      @trailblogger  4 года назад +1

      I've had good luck with the tusk clutch kits and they should fine on a warrior. I've also heard the driveline clutches are really good for the raptors and banshees. I'm not sure if they make one for a warrior. I thought when you tossed the wavy spring you used a full fiber plate instead but don't quote me.

    • @stevephreeman7592

      I was going through your comments here and saw that mentioned above about the wavy spring. So I would have to buy 2 kits for this upgrade?? Where could I find that info?? I was quoting this person "Michael Gates / THE UNFINISHED" above.
