I was sad to see the jyers firmware had stalled since it made a huge difference. Glad to see this available and have someone explain the process so clearly

Bryan, glad you finally covered this firmware. I've been using it for a while and it's so much better than stock. There's a Unified Mesh bed leveling firmware available as well if you have a BL Touch. It's awesome as it makes tramming and leveling the bed a breeze with guidance on which knob to tighten or loosen and even shows you a visual of the heights of the leveling points in the mesh. It makes it super easy to get a perfect first layer.
@@TheWhatman21 It's on the release page for the mriscoc firmware. Just download the version that is correct for your printer and board revision and included BLUBL in the filename. It's pretty straight foward if you read the release notes.
I might be a little late to this, but i recently upgraded my ender 3 pro with the v2 screen and used the board / screen firmware they provided me with the upgrade. Could not get a good mesh. I just flashed the firmware on the board and screen to this and i got the mesh within -/+.02 with the build in system. Its so easy to use.
I have been using this firmware for about a year now. All of my V2s have Sprite Pro direct drive extruders with CR Touch probes and this firmware lets me not only tweak the bed mesh size (I like the 9x9 mesh), but I can also specify the probe offset so that I can maximize the area that's probed. The Z offset and tramming wizards are invaluable, too. Hats off to Miguel!

Just kicked Jyers to the curb and installed this firmware on a Ender 3 Pro that has been upgraded to 4.2.7 board, CRTouch, v2 screen and a dual z lead screw. So far, it is working great with perfect first layer. Thank you for posting this video.
Just had a friend ask for a print after not using my V3 for 2 years. "I wonder if Bryan has any updates for it", and here you are as always! Thank you!!
Thanks for showing us this firmware! I did it, but when I rebooted it, all the icons were just blanks. I was however in luck, the display was listed amongst the compatible ones. I also flash the new firmware for the display without any issues and, once rebooted with the second new firmware, all looked absolutely fantastic! All seems to be working fine, I only had time to check/compare the basic values and I performed the homing with a promising result.
I've been running this firmware for a while now, and it has made life a lot easier with the E3V2. I was very disappointed with Jyers, because it was never really completed. Even the most recent version of the firmware had a bunch of issues and limitations that I encountered. Thank you for putting this one out there, the more people that know about this firmware, the better. I still haven't played with some of the more advanced features in MRiscoC's firmware, yet, but am looking forward to checking them out over time.
Bryan, thanks for covering this firmware! The added features are great! I'm relatively new to 3D printing; less than a year. Your videos have been a big help in getting me up and going on producing successful prints!
I wanted to say thank you. I just replaced my Ender 3 V2 mainboard out of necessity to the new BTT SKR Mini E3 V3.0 and have also the Ender Extender kit installed. There isn't any pre-compiled firmware for and Ender 3 V2 with a 400mmx400mmx450mm setup. I modified the stock Marlin Firmware bugfix 2.1 to be the correct settings for the board and XYZ size. The default Marlin UI is just too basic for the V2 display. I tried to use the CrealityUI config and it wouldn't compile. This version is just magic! I did a lot of reading and the developer went the extra mile and create a special configuration repo where he added a Python GUI that allows you to select from some common features. Additionally he added the ability to allow you to configure different settings from the Configuration.h and Configuration_adv.h files. I simply created a new JSON file with the updates to the X_BED_SIZE, Y_BED_SIZE, and Z_MAX_POS to match my extended setup. Sure enough when I ran the gui my new 'Extended' config showed up. I clicked on the generate button and it modified the config files for me. Also modified the platformio.ini file to properly load in the BTT mainboard, stepper motor drivers, etc. Copied files in to his Marlin folder, and let PlatformIO do it's thing. Flashed the new mainboard, and display and works perfectly! Thank you again.
As expected, fantastic video Brian! This is an incredible new firmware! The icons are brilliant too. Its like I have a brand new printer. You explained the install flawlessly too. Two questions, Question one. Is there a setting somewhere that lets the screen stay on longer, it auto-dims about every 30 secs, maybe a minute, I haven't timed it. Second question, my filename used to scroll across the top of my screen that would tell me the filename, layer height and how many metres of filament its going to use. any idea how to make that scroll again? Any help would be fantastic.
This firmware is AMAZING! Thank you Bryan for this guide. As a new 3D printer user this was like man discovering fire! Finally I can control my mesh level for first layer control for a non-auto leveling bed! This type of control and user experience is what ALL printers should be striving for.
Here’s a nice feature. If you use a SD card adapter you can enable media check in the menu and it will refresh the card whenever you select the media (print) menu. No more rebooting the printer when you change cards!
Bryan, it seems like every time I need information about a printer I have acquired, you seem to have a video for it. You're becoming my one stop shop for info. Guess I'll catch you again after I get another printer.
Hey Brian! Just came across this video and downloaded the firmware. All I can say is WOW!!! The best firmware on the Ender V2. The Traming Wizard was amazing!
@@BV3D so far so good. Still have a ways to go before I’m really taking advantage of it. Definitely like the display upgrade, way nicer than the stock version!
The best of best firmware for 3D Printers today, can imagine how much work involve in this firmware to get to this level, WELL DONE , thank you very much for your work.
Thanks Bryan for the great video! I’ve been using Mriscoc Professional for about a year and absolutely love the abundant features. Pairing a bed probe with this firmware really makes it shine! Kinda like Reese’s Peanut Butter cups; “two great tastes that taste great together.”
great video as usual Bryan! Your videos make this a lot less intimidating for beginners! I put off updating my firmware for a long time until i saw your video on editing and compiling the jyersui firmware. Now upgrading my Ender-3 V2 is not that scary anymore. I've upgraded a bunch of things, like micro swiss direct drive extruder, bl touch and dual z axes.
Amazing firmware and video, I have been using the Jyers FW for the last year without much issue but have had to recently replace my motherboard and lost all my settings. Since the replacement I have been fighting to get my bed level even with the CR touch, within 5 minutes of firing up the new firmware the tramming wizard had got my bed level and I was printing again!
Thanks for the video, very informative and helpful. I've been on the fence on doing this, but you walked me through it and it was a breeze. Put in my old numbers and went through the bed tramming, autotuning MPC & bed. Wow, wish I hadn't waited so long. I thought my bed was leveled good until I saw the numbers. Installed on a Ender V2 Neo.
subscribed because of this guide! just installed on my V2 after having added CR touch, silicone spacers, capricorn and a pei bed. thank you for taking the time to do this guide.
Thanks for posting this. I struggled for quite a while with the JyersUI; the mesh levelling routine did not seem to get along with the CR-Touch. I had to re-level each time I ran another print, and it still wasn't right. With the MriscoC, I ran the guided tramming first, then the mesh levelling, and it has held perfectly. Ender 3 V2 4.2.2 board/CR-Touch/Sprite Pro/twin-Z axis/PEI build plate
I finally got this working on my Ender 3v2 with Sprite Extruder Pro Kit and BL Touch. It took me a while to get the display updated though. As you said Bryan, the display is "Very Picky" about how the SD card is formatted. I had to use an external SD Card formatter to get the 8GB FAT32 partition and then use the windows 11 MSDOS "format" command to get the 4096 byte allocation unit "format h:/A:4096". But it finally worked, and it Looks Great ! ,...Now let's see how it prints. lol. Thanks Bryan.
Amazing tutorial. I've been troubleshooting a lowperture issue on my ender 3 v2 and this has made it much easier to track as I work through my possible problems. Thank you!
I used your excellent video on Jyers a couple of years ago as a guide for updating to that as it gave me the confidence to try a firmware change. I wish the mriscoc one had been up when I updated to that a while back, but still excellent nonetheless and should help many do the same without having to look at multiple sources for research. A great resource for the 3D printing community as ever.
Thank you!! Your videos are so helpful, step by step simple instructions. I've been wanting to do this upgrade since you first put it out but I am always so nervous about messing something up. I've since upgraded to the E3 V3 SE which makes me more apt to tinker with my V2. So the first thing I did was find this video and made the jump. I wish I would've done this when you first published this video but again... my apprehension got the best of me. I upgraded the firmware with my CR Touch and the screen, super awesome upgrade!
Thank you! I recently got an Elegoo Neptune 3 Plus and really didn't want to get rid of my Ender 3 v2 but the firmware was so dated. Now I have 2 great printers and I have noticed that my Ender runs much smoother than before.
thank you so much, i've upgrated my ender 3 s1 with other software and I had issues in z axis when homing, so this firmware solve it. I'm so grateful with you!
Thank you so much, what a great tutorial! I'm a beginner and really appreciated the way you approach your audience, I feel confident and supported, not patronised (like I have done before when asking for help). Thank you again!
Thank you Bryan for the step by step video. Big improvement in the firmware for my Ender 3 V2. Lots of new features for easier caliberations and better printing.
I know this is an older vid, but it totally solved my modern issues! I had a updated silent 32bit 4.7 board and it apparently burnt up directly at the positive power wire input terminal directly on the MB! I yanked the older 4.2 board out of storage and when i tried to use with my updated hardware like BL Touch and DWIN LCD screen, i got the black screen. it would still work with the mono-chrome display, but i did not like that much of a step back. Following these steps and links, i was able to update my firmware, and LCD display!!! THANKS A METRIC TON!!! YOU ROCK!
Thank you for this! The main reason I switched to this firmware was, by default, the new print bed area with this build is 230x230mm (which I needed for a large build) and this was (by far) the easiest way to go beyond Creality's stock 220x220mm default.
@@ronnymatalalampi9770 You can set it to 230x230 in Cura, but the stock Creality firmware (physically) forces it to 220x220. It will truncate/cut your printing area right off! So no, it requires different firmware that allows a larger print area.
@@ChrisSchroederPurdueEngineer not sure about that. Both on my stock ender 3 pro and ender 3 v2 i could make it go out x+ and make awfull noise. It was through octopi thoo. If it makes any differens.
I like your videos 👍 they are a gift when you are a new to 3d printing. I have been enjoying mriscoc's firmware for a little month now and all the nice features it have, I really like it. A new feature also worth mentioning is the possibility to watch gcode previews on the screen (DWin, maybe also on Dacai) like on the Ender 3 v2 NEO.
This is hands down the best firmware out there for the Ender 3 v2. I switched to another firmware for about 15 seconds before missing some feature added in this.
I've been using this with my 3V2 for a while, at first mostly because it let me set the maximum height _without_ having to recompile, and it's been great. And since I extended the height of my printer, that's kind of a necessity. Love it.
Yeah, that feature right there -- the ability to adjust the printer's dimensions -- makes this so awesome. I can put this on my Ender-3 Max that I've upgraded with the V2 screen and not have to recompile.
Thanks Brian. I have 4 x S1’s one has this software, I installed it after a extruder repair. The bed levelling and z-offset features are so much easier to use compared to the stock firmware. I’ll eventually put this firmware on my other S1s, I like to keep them as is as they “work” at the moment. 🤞🏼 I’m sure plenty of other users would like a video on the ease of bed levelling with this firmware.
Great Video Bryan!!! Been using the Professional Firmware since it came out. Really like it! There was a learning curve but after you use it for awhile, it works great! Thanks for the video!
Great, thorough video! I'm glad that you covered this terrific firmware. When I got my printer last year, I was going to install Jyers based on your earlier video, but I was really concerned about the lack of updates and support. I gambled and installed the MRiscoC firmware and have been really happy with it.
Been on JyersUI since your video about it, but I'm going to give this firmware a shot! I love your videos, thanks for your great enthusiasm and informative content!
Bryan, Thanks for a great video! I just joined your channel and look forward to watching the rest of your V2 and general content. You have rekindled my interest in 3d printing on the V2. A few years ago, I bought a V2 during it's pre-release offer and then got distracted by life. That V2 still sits in my closet in its original box, unassembled and unloved. Thanks to your video, I'm once again planning to assemble and learn how to use it. It occurs to me that assembling the parts that came in the box might make a good museum piece, but it is probably better to buy the current best-of-breed components and build it up right from the start. In addition to the items you mentioned (the 427 board, the BLTouch bed probe and the BIQU H2 V2 direct drive extruder with the E3D Revo hot end), are there any other upgrades you would suggest out of the gate. Also, do you know if the screen module can be replaced as the one I have is probably too primitive to accept the icons upload. If I going to do this, I want to do it right. Purchase Links (even affiliate links) for any components you recommend would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for a great video and also thanks for any advice you choose to share.
you make great vids brutha! You've helped me BIGLY and still do. I have so many of your vids saved for reference. I just wanted to send kudos and thanks sir!
Excellent video. I had an initial issue with flashing the firmware but changed my SD card from a 8gb to a 16gb one, reformatted. I also changed the firmware filename to 8 characters. I got scared for a moment, but it all worked out and it is very nice!
Bryan. For your viewers that are having issues getting Windows 10 or 11 for format a card as FAT32, MBR and4k sectors, the easiest way is to use a program such as EaseUS Partition Master FREE EDITION (I am not associated with them and why pay for what is provided in their free version). It provides a simple point and click interface and takes about 45 seconds. Keep doing all you do!
I've been using his firmware for several months now on my Frankenstein Ender 3 V1 (it's somewhere between a V2 and S1 Pro). It works great and I love it.
Does your v1 have a sprite extruder? My v1 is very much not a v1 anymore. V2 display, 4.2.7 board and dual z axis steppers. I really would like to try this but idk if the sprite with bl touch is supported
Sprite extruder, dual Z-drive, mains print bed heat, 4.2.7 board, CR-touch, diamondback nozzle. In fact, mine sounds a lot like yours, and the MRiscoC works great. Auto bed leveling with up to 81 probe points, auto bed tramming that takes all the guess work out of the manual method. There's no reason it won't as well for you as it does for me. He even has a version for the 300 degree C hotend.
@@lindeleasley I jumped into it last night. Found the T13 compilation. What a night and day difference. Why does Creality tie the hands of these things like they do? MRiscoC on the same Gcode did a better job. After I ran all the PID and Nozzle temp calibrations, set E-steps, the tramming wizard (which is an absolute gem), set z offsets and set a mesh and ran it I couldn't believe the difference I saw. I can only imagine once I set the slicer settings and enter the G29 lines in how much more I'll like it.
Thanks for covering this firmware. I too have been using the Jyers version of Marlin since you reviewed it in a past video. I found this a few weeks ago but was hesitant to install it. I'll give it a go.
Thanks for the video. It's a bummer about Jyers (it was game changing) but it's great to know that there is something else out there that's still being supported. If I add a filament runout sensor to any of my E3v2s, I'll install it.
great video brian! this is an awesome new firmware and the icons are brilliant too. you explained the install perfectly, although the ender 3 v2 are pretty easy to update. Thanks again Brian
Great video, as usual, but this new firmware offers nothing extra for me. The Jyers has been the neatest thing since sliced bread for my Ender3V2, thanks to your videos, so I'm staying with it. Happy printing!
having watched the video relating to the features I find myself in the same position as yourself. I did the Jyers upgrade well over a year go which added so much particularly the manual levelling that makes dialling in first layers so easy. There doesnt appear anything much to be gained by upgrading again so I'll stick with Jyers, till someone comes up with a,good reason in future
thank you so much for doing this. i followed your jyers vid over a year ago and it worked great, but after i updated my system board it worked, but i forgot to uodate the firmware for new board version, and estimates and some other minor things were out of sync. THIS NEW FIRMWARE IS AWESOME! TY!
Brian, are you familiar with the issues with this firmware and the developer not properly following the open source license requirements of Marlin? There's been discussions in the issue tracker about this on Marlin. Just curious your thoughts on this as it relates to the firmware. Thanks for your time.
This was my reason for holding off from moving from Jyers for so long. Then I jumped to Klipper instead. But I did have an issue I had to rule out Klipper, so I flashed it for a few days to get my problem confirmed. Super nice, but from what I read, the developer was super sus
@@MallocArray It wasn't so much the failing to follow the license requirements that's kept me from the firmware (Jyers apparently did this to some extent from my readings in the issues page), but the way the dev has been sus about the whole issue, plus not being able to fine tune parts of the firmware to be compiled the way I want it, is why I'm ok digging through the config and config_adv and learning the options myself and baking my own firmware. Yes I screw up, but I can at least back track all my stuff and not rely on stuff I can't even read or see because it's been compiled by the dev mentioned here. It's a nice firmware no doubt. If they fixed this issue on the open source license requirements, then I would install it on my 3v2 until I move it to klipper one of these days.

You can send or write a g-code configuration file with the M255 S0 command (or S## where ## is in minutes)
I thought it had Something do with Update but thanks
Bryan, it seems like every time I need information about a printer I have acquired, you seem to have a video for it. You're becoming my one stop shop for info. Guess I'll catch you again after I get another printer.
Hey Brian! Just came across this video and downloaded the firmware. All I can say is WOW!!! The best firmware on the Ender V2. The Traming Wizard was amazing!
Following your great instructions I just completed this upgrade (both the printer and the display)! Thanks so much for posting this!
Fantastic! How're you liking it?
@@BV3D so far so good. Still have a ways to go before I’m really taking advantage of it. Definitely like the display upgrade, way nicer than the stock version!
The best of best firmware for 3D Printers today, can imagine how much work involve in this firmware to get to this level, WELL DONE , thank you very much for your work.
Finally!!.. awesome see you covering this firmware!
Wow! Thanks!! I upgraded to Jyers and loved it. Now I have upgraded to MRiscoC and it too is great!
Great to hear!
Thanks Bryan for the great video! I’ve been using Mriscoc Professional for about a year and absolutely love the abundant features. Pairing a bed probe with this firmware really makes it shine! Kinda like Reese’s Peanut Butter cups; “two great tastes that taste great together.”
Thank you so Much Bryan! Bed leveling is SO precious now and there is so much more for me to learn with this firmware so far so GOOD!
Thank you for the nice video and the tip. Just installed this firmware and it's amazing !
great video as usual Bryan!
Installed on a Ender V2 Neo.
indeed this is the best firmware for the Ender 3v2!. THanks for the heads up.
subscribed because of this guide! just installed on my V2 after having added CR touch, silicone spacers, capricorn and a pei bed. thank you for taking the time to do this guide.
For a future video, some setup tips using the firmware would be handy. theres so many little things to tweak to get the most from it
Great video. Easy to follow, very thorough, and correct information.
Amazing tutorial. I've been troubleshooting a lowperture issue on my ender 3 v2 and this has made it much easier to track as I work through my possible problems. Thank you!
Have been using this firmware for several months, and it has made printing much, much easier. Manual mesh has been a lifesaver!
Does it allow for higher temps like for printing nylon?
This firmware is fantastic. thank you for the recommendation
thank you so much, i've upgrated my ender 3 s1 with other software and I had issues in z axis when homing, so this firmware solve it.
The main reason I switched to this firmware was, by default, the new print bed area with this build is 230x230mm (which I needed for a large build) and this was (by far) the easiest way to go beyond Creality's stock 220x220mm default.
hahaha you could have change those settings in cura and use 230X230
@@BV3D Hi Bryan, will you please cover how to do the upgraded 3 Max as well?
Fancy. Great step by step instructions!
I’m sure plenty of other users would like a video on the ease of bed levelling with this firmware.
Just done my E3v2 & screen- thank you Bryan upgraded from the Jyers version. Great upgrade
Been on JyersUI since your video about it, but I'm going to give this firmware a shot!
I love your videos, thanks for your great enthusiasm and informative content!
Thank you so much for this really detailed video. I was able to easily update my printer. I would have never been able to do that on my own!
So proud of the team, Telegram channel and obviously of Miguel!
Bryan as always very nice diy. Thanks men.
Great video, as usual, but this new firmware offers nothing extra for me. The Jyers has been the neatest thing since sliced bread for my Ender3V2, thanks to your videos, so I'm staying with it. Happy printing!
lol I also had Jyers but I got aboard this one.....
having watched the video relating to the features I find myself in the same position as yourself. I did the Jyers upgrade well over a year go which added so much particularly the manual levelling that makes dialling in first layers so easy. There doesnt appear anything much to be gained by upgrading again so I'll stick with Jyers, till someone comes up with a,good reason in future
I've been using this firmware since it first came out. It getS better with every new version released by Miguel. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I compiled a tjc specific version for my s1, works flawlessly
thank you so much for doing this. i followed your jyers vid over a year ago and it worked great, but after i updated my system board it worked, but i forgot to uodate the firmware for new board version, and estimates and some other minor things were out of sync. THIS NEW FIRMWARE IS AWESOME! TY!
Awesome video! This version saved an old V2 that I have that was bricked! Awesome Version! 10000000000% recommend!
Great to hear!
thank you so much, i was having trouble flashing the display firmware. great help!
Absolutely love the firmware. Your videos are very helpful!!!
Perfect!! Thank You!!
You save my day with this video! Thanks 👍
Glad I could help!
@@BV3D I am having a problem that during printing the 'Z' axis is not moving up, maybe it goes up two or three layers, the motor is running from the menu, but not during printing, I have already tried different firmwares. I have already put the bed on level.
Awesome man you just saved me from the black screen of death lol can you make a video of you upgrading the heat I have a sprite extruder on my ender v2 I’d like to use for nylon prints but I need to be in the 280c for that
Очень полезно было бы в этой прошивке! Мне такая функция тоже нужна!)
running this firmware on an ender2 pro w/monochrome display and a cr-touch. it does work. 4.2.7 board . runs great!
Cool, thanks for sharing!
Ive been running the MRiscoC Professional Firmware on my Ender 3 V2 for almost a year now. LOVE it! I have the board that wouldnt work with the Jyers version. Im running the Sprite direct drive extruder with the CR Touch bed leveler, and dual Z axis, and the Professional Firmware has worked flawlessly with my setup.
Hi mate, I have the same setup as you currently on jyersUI. I have the 330C hotend but jyersUI won’t let me. Does MTiscoC allow for 300C or do I need to compile my own
oh, the manual mesh leveling is way better too ... super easy to create the mesh. perfect prints now!
HALLELUJAH THANK YOU MAN !!!!!! Its amazing just so easy with such efficient description! Thank you thank you!
Thanks for the information on the display boards. I knew about DWIN and DACAI but I didn't know that there were two others. I spent hours trying to update the display firmware in one of my E3v2s. I'm sure it has one of the other boards. I learn so much from your videos. Thank you.
Is there any way u can help me with my ender 3 v2 screen?
Hi Bryan, thank you very much for posting this video. On your video for Jyers Code, I installed it on my V2 and it still works fine. Now I would like to print on higher temps, since I installed an all metal hotend from Ms... And my question is: is it possible to print with more than 260 degrees C with this new Firmware?
Greetings
Gonna give this a try with my Ender 3 V2 neo. Currently having a helluva time trying to get it to print anything passed the first bit of filament
Thanks Bryan
I love the new software and your videos,
I wonder if they will support the EZABL since it's a better and popular alternative to the BLTouch?
thanks for putting this out there. more people need to know about the professional firmware and your videos really make it easy for anyone to make the switch
Ohh, cool! I was wondering if Jyers would get an update or not. But new fork will do as well :p
Would have liked to see a bit more of a comparison between MRiscoC and Jyers because I think everybody switched over to Jyers after your videos :D
Bryan... Love the firmware but is there 300C for the 4.2.7 board? If not, how can it be updated?
Be good to see a bit more in depth of this software, love the vlogs
Finally switched over to this Firmware, thanx tot he info in this video. I wish I did it ages ago. No more issues with OctoPi cause of Creality's broken firmware. Better bed mesh leveling options. Not having to use terminal for everything is also so nice. Worth it.
Thank you for this video! everything just worked as explained!
