Came back here to update because I've followed all of your videos, memorized your study guide, and took your practice test. I passed this morning!! First try and had 55 minutes to spare. However, the questions were so much different than I expected. I only had 2 questions about the overhead squat assessment, and maybe 4 or 5 about overactive and underactive muscles. But I HAD SO MANY ABOUT STAGES OF CHANGE. At least 7 questions were about what stage of change someone was in, 3 or 4 about scope of practice, and a handful of questions about knee alignment in relation to the toes. The things I studied most were barely on there lol. Definitely a lot different than the practice tests NASM gives but your videos and resources made me feel confident going into it and honestly that attitude did a lot for me! THANK YOU.
Also took it, I think what has happened is all these "study guides" are now officially out dated because nasm has probably seen them and they now just use a random generator of questions to force you to memorize everything.
I have not taken my exam yet. I need to in the next 4 weeks. But so far I am disappointed and frustrated with NASM. Entirely to much random material that will not matter to 90% of you daily job as a PT. I thought it would thoroughly go over exercise science and planning and not just 700 + pages of an anatomy book and expecting you to memorize it all at random. should have used ISSA.
UPDATE : I passed mine last evening and the questions that were in the exam focused on topics that were so much different than the topics that were focused on in the NASM chapter quizzes and practice exam. One needs to be thorough with the entire course material to pass. The videos on youtube about the important topics to study may not be accurate anymore. Maybe the NASM instructors changed the format of questions because of all the videos that were on youtube haha :p
Hi thank you for the information, i was wondering do we have to remember all the tables in fotness assessment chapter. Like durnin womersley body fat percentage
No professional would ever say gastroc is superior to soleus... very poor language. It is SUPERFICIAL to soleus. Yes, its tendons go further up and past the knee but that is not how we would describe the relation. Not your fault though. Good video aside from your thoracolumbar pronunciation (haha).
This is the bullshit. The answer on last 10 question is wrong. Is not C, the correct answer is D. Retraction and depression of the shoulder blades. This is a common form mistake during a push-up. It is important to maintain proper alignment of the shoulder blades by retracting them (squeezing them together) and depressing them (pulling them down towards the hips) throughout the exercise. This helps to engage the chest muscles and maintain stability in the upper body. Feet too wide, elbow flexion, and the stomach falling towards the ground are not necessarily form mistakes during a push-up.
Well, we know who didn’t pass this test…. How is that a form mistake. That is supposed to happen in order to do it properly. You never want a stomach falling forward aka low back arch.
@@BayeethMaazahn The common complaint and mine is they do a good job pointing you in the right direction of what you should know, but they do a horrible job in providing context or giving you proper real world advice as a trainer. It's basically become a test you have no choice to take to get your foot in the door at most gyms.
@@madmaxiemartialartsnerd485 as someone about to take the nasm test i agree. It makes me understand why so many personal trainers are shit when its this easy to get certified. You really don't need to have any deep knowledge

I’m taking mine on the 5th, what would you suggest studying the most?
IME, none of the study guides I've reviewed are accurate.

tried entering my email address for both the cheat sheet & trainer academy & did not receive anything. ???
I gave my info, but was unable to download the cheat sheet. The button is still not working. Thanks.
Are the questions on the exam similar to these ones?
Do these questions get repeated?
is this an online test or in person?
In person
I only have the option to do it online. Depends on where you live but our testing centers aren't open because of covid.
not sure if the audio on his video is too low or my laptop is failing me lol
Please 240 free qution?
Good information but there's a video cut like every 5 seconds and dude talks like a robot. The video is not fluent at all
I thought the same thing! Like AI
First time ans i get 9 from 10 😂👍🏻❤️

I’m not sure if I’m too good or if this is actually the hardest questions
But thanks for making the video tho, great content!
Same. I got 7/10 correct even though I'm doing the ACSM certification currently
This is helpful, but the over editing makes it frustrating to watch!
Who doesn't know the four rotator cuff muscles? 😂

Why did you remove the practice questions? Please post them immediately. Otherwise, we won't watch any of your videos. Where did the 240 questions go?

C'mon really? lol!!
I had to stop when you couldn't pronounce Thoracolumbar facia correctly.
Some of these questions are the definition of Ambiguity. lol
