Your comment near the end about owning a high mileage scud is EXACTLY why I bought my 60k mile example. Now two years later and pushing 70k miles and I’ve enjoyed every minute!!!!!
Cmon man. This is the Schumacher car. Pretty much a development 430 that was enhanced by Shumacher himself at the height of Ferraris dominance of F1. Its actually beyond legendary, and is highly sought after by F1 fans of the time period the world over.
One of the most fun cars ever made! I had the opportunity to do a road trip with a Scuderia with Novitec kit, what an absurd car!!I don't know how much more the American version is, which in addition to more weight is more restricted, but in the European version Ferrari declares that the Scuderia has 15hp more than the normal 430, but in tests on the dino, the European Scuderia always produces much more hp than declared by the factory! Good content!
Scuds are Amazing cars. I had one 5 years ago then was trying to “upgrade” to a Speciale and got majorly disappointed by the size and the lack of proper noise. Ultimately, ended up buying another Scud. It is definitely the right sized car in my mind. I actually like the trans too. Oh yeah, and the HP rating is 20+ up vs the regular F430.
The Scud Thud is the defining experience of the car outside of just sitting in the interior for me. Converting it to a six speed takes away most of its personality.
@@scotts8061 Rosso Scuderia. I can’t afford one since I’m still trying to figure out how to become wealthy so I’ll have to stick with getting a Ducati Monster. Same Italian thrills for less money.
Maybe you should buy it from the dealership and make this your next Ferrari. They’re only going to continue to go up in value so it’s a win win situation
Ok Dan. My new favorite Scud review! So much more entertaining than Douggy D’s. Your reactions and the choice of words is hilarious. Couple things: the headlight deal is actually the CF gassing off and creating those spider crack looking marks inside the lens. It only occurs on the 2008s that opted the CF package and all 2009 US cars because the CF pack was standard. 20 more hp due to revised intake and exhaust. It is an epic car. I’ll never sell mine. Finally, I think I know the answer but you are fortunate enough to have driven the Scud and the Gallardo Superleggera, it’s competitor. Which one if you could only have one??
I did consider one of these but was just overall seduced by an F430 Spider with the stick shift. Thought it more comfy, just as fast yet more engaging. Tough choice though. One of each sounds good.
Not as fast. Torque curve in the Scud is revised to pull harder earlier in the rev range and virtually no pause in the torque due to 60 ms shifts which is infinitely faster than the even the fastest human shifting. And 20 more hp.
@@scuddryvr8784 Yeah, I'd love a Scud too, or a 360 CS, or a Speciale. For the money, the manual F430 really provides a superb experience and is certainly capable.
Enjoyed the rooftop perspective. Can you try an external shot that captures the driver perspective down the front and with the roadside on either side for a sense of the acceleration and the driver's view? The rooftop gave a sense of acceleration with the visible roadside, but it might be a more exciting shot seeing the nose of the car as the driver does, but from out on the "hood" (frunk). I would place it center and just in front of the bottom of the windshield. Just for giggles.
Would love to see more videos with the Scuderia if possible. I have always been waiting to see a video with a scuderia (with a proper gearbox) on this channel. This car is simply epic and definitely my all time favourite road legal car. That sound.... that gearbox.... the car looks so brutal and I wish I can afford one one day🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

It's crazy how much the scuderia has appreciated in the last two years. In early 2020 I was looking at financing options on a black on for 139k. I'm an idiot for not buying one.
That’s very cheap even for 2020. Was it a rebuilt title or did it have very high miles? I bought in 2020 and nothing was close to that cheap when I was shopping.
@@scuddryvr8784 no it wasn't rebuilt, it was a black, 08 I think. It was for sale in Florida. The average price at the time was about 169k and that one came up for 139 and I was going to buy it and then covid

It’s one of 2 issues depending who you talk to. The carbon fiber headlight casing gassing off or the coating on the inside of the lens. I’ve only seen cars with the CF option do it but others claim they’ve seen the non CF lights get it. Mine are not CF and the lens are perfect.
@@scuddryvr8784 correct I think mine was carbon fiber inside the headlamp ? Wising I hadn't sold it , however it was the only car I have ever owned that increased in value after two years ! Hope your enjoying yours
It is not carbon off gassing. It is bacteria on the inner layer of the lens and is also why heating with the heat gun only kills it for a bit and then it comes back. My permanent fix was the Houston Ferrari service center GM opening them and polishing off the layer completely. He had told me that he’s put the lenses under a microscope and seen the bacteria
Oh.... That cracking in the headlight is not likely coming out. That's probably going to have to be replaced if the buyer wants it gone. That's a shame.
hahahha...yeah i remember you said in your older videos that u actually felt the scud is meh...so u havent actually experienced the sf2 before. Maybe that was the 6mt lol. The Howard needs more lighting
I think the lighting is part of the mood, granted it's not ideal for videos or actual working on the cars, but it's what the vibe is.
