Thank you for posting this tutorial. I didn’t know not to pull the thread back and damaging the machine when changing your thread. Thank you for educating me on that. You have a great eye for color design. I have never do appliqué because I didn’t know how Dale maybe I can try it. Thank you so much again for the tutorial great patch by the way.
Nice job!!! I have the same machine. I love it. But want a multi needle machine now. I also use Embrilliance Essentials. River Mill has great designs. Thanks for educating others about how to thread and unthread these machines properly. Have a great day!!
The patch turned out great I had bought the font just yesterday and it was good to see you do a video on it. On my font there was one more step where you could add a border on top of it. I guess it was like a finishing look it was optional. I was just curious how yours was going to turn out if you put it on there but I guess the font you bought didn’t offer that. I also didn’t realize how huge the font was that a couple of the letters I couldn’t make because I just have the SC 1900 so I will just have to downsize some of the letters..
The font I got didn't have the finishing stitch on top, but I ended up sewing the patch to the jacket and it looks like it has a finishing stitch afterwards...lol I should have take a picture. But yes, these letters are big!
Hi there...So glad i found your channel as a newbie to learning about embroidery machine`s .Excellent tutorial, learing a little bit more each day ... really like your teaching style. Definitely subscribing ..Thank you !
Yes. In my next video (I am working on it this weekend), I will show the placement stitch on the screen. As far as outline or trace functions, not all machines have this function. For applique designs, digitizers will normally put a placement stitch in the design. Thank you for watching!
Was this a purchased letter or did you design it in the software? If its software, can you show the steps to setup the applique? I would like to do different letter. Great tutorial!
The Heat N Bond Ultra alone holds up for a few washes (6 or 7 for me washing with warm water). Now I always stitch around the patches with a matching thread for anything that will be washed often.
Omg...i finally found a video on double applique. What program are you using? Also did you design it on is it a feature in the program! Thank you so much!
OMG... Thank You!! I use Sew What Pro to view and line up my designs. I am still learning to digitize so I did not make this designs. I bought it from Rivermill Embroidery. 🌞
Yes. Rivermill Embroidery on Etsy is where I purchased: www.etsy.com/listing/202744732/double-applique-varsity-style-2-machine Thank you for watching 🌞
@@SouthernAudacity Thank you I just purchased. Do you have content where you show how to make an appliqué patch from scratch? I’m new wanted to just put my business name in a patch, does this require any pacific program. I have a brother NQ 1700 E
I don't have any content on making one from scratch, but if you have Sew What Pro or Brilliance Essentials, you can use premade appliques and fonts to merge together to create a patch with your name on it.
Thank you for posting this tutorial. I didn’t know not to pull the thread back and damaging the machine when changing your thread. Thank you for educating me on that.

@@SouthernAudacity Your so very welcome !.Your work is deserving of positive feedback.no doubt about that.
Thank you. I love your technique. Where do you get your graphics?
Thank you! Various places when I am not creating my own. This design came from Rivermill Embroidery
Great vlog, truly enjoyed this, just makes me want the embroidery machine more. Couldn't you have did the application on the item itself?
Thank you and yes... it could be stitched right onto the item itself. 🌞
I would highly recommend a set of duckbill scissors for cutting the applique out.
Yes... they have been on my list for over 2 years......
I have the Tula Pink duckbill scissors. What a difference.
Okay... y'all are going to have me shopping soon.
CAn you show what the placement stitch looking like on your screen? Does every machine have a outline stitch settling?
Yes. In my next video (I am working on it this weekend), I will show the placement stitch on the screen. As far as outline or trace functions, not all machines have this function. For applique designs, digitizers will normally put a placement stitch in the design. Thank you for watching!
Great video! Could you please tell me where you bought the design? Or did you make the design? Thank you.
Thank you! Rivermill Embroidery is where this design is from.
We’re did you buy the pattern alphabets .they are really good want to make one for my grandkids
Rivermill Embroidery 🌞
Thanks so much for sharing y❤️
Was this a purchased letter or did you design it in the software? If its software, can you show the steps to setup the applique? I would like to do different letter. Great tutorial!
This was purchased from Rivermill Embroidery. They are on Etsy and have a stand alone website. Thank you🌞
How well does the red Heat N Bond hold up in the washing machine?
The Heat N Bond Ultra alone holds up for a few washes (6 or 7 for me washing with warm water). Now I always stitch around the patches with a matching thread for anything that will be washed often.
Thank you for this video. I can't see your replys. I'm trying to do the same thing, which font was it from Rivermill? TIA
Hello. I am not sure why the replies are not showing. But it is the Double Applique Varsity (Style 2)
Hello! Will the adhesive hold up to many washes without stitching it onto fabric?
Honestly, I recommend that the patches are stitched around the edges for items that will be washed often.
@@SouthernAudacity thank you for responding!

Really nice! Question when you use the q tip after the fraycheck does it nullify the fraycheck?
nope, it sure doesn't. There is still plenty because it seeps into the fibers
Monday thus exact file where did you purchase or can you provide a link please
