      Thank you so much!! Embroidery takes a little time to learn, but opening up the boxes and getting started is half the battle! Happy Stitches!!

    Thank you so much, I learned a lot. I had been wanting to learn how to do patches. I made one with twill and it didn't turn out good. I go so frustrated I refused to try again so I moved on.
    Watching your video showed me the numerous mistakes that I made. Basically you showed how to do it correctly. The roses were beautiful...I am going to replay your video and do a step by step patch along.

    Which brand of heat adhesive did you use in the final step? Excellent video!

    • @SouthernAudacity
      @SouthernAudacity  Год назад +1

      Heat and Bond Ultra Hold. But Allstitch Fuse N Bond or Stahls Thermo Adhesive gives a better hold in my opinion.

    It looks terrific! I heard that the HTV can tear away on embroidery . This type of HTV is different from others. Sorry, I don't know.🤔

    • @SouthernAudacity
      @SouthernAudacity  Год назад +1

      I have only used glitter HTV and Flock HTV with patches. I make sure its ironed to the fabric that is used as a base, and so far, there have been no issues with tearing or cracking.

    • @SouthernAudacity
      @SouthernAudacity  3 года назад

      Hi! I use #40 thread on these. The bobbin thread is #90. I use this combo for all projects unless I have really small details -like names on shirts, in those cases, I use #60 for the top and #90 bobbin.

    These roses turn out really well. Is the siser Glitter sticky ?

    • @SouthernAudacity
      @SouthernAudacity  3 года назад

      Hi! the glitter is a heat transfer vinyl (HTV) that is designed to be ironed onto clothes. It comes on a carrier sheet that it is stuck to, but I peel the carrier sheet off and use the vinyl just as I would use fabric. 😀

    • @SouthernAudacity
      @SouthernAudacity  3 года назад

      But no, it's not sticky like the oracle 651 type of vinyl that people use for decals. It sticks after it is activated by heat.
