Foreign policy is not their forte. To classify the war in Ukraine as just another foreign war displays a profound lack of knowledge when it comes to Putin, his aspirations and recent Russian history in general. Have they even realised that Russia have massively increased their influence in Africa by delivering cheap gas and weapons? If Putin is not shown the limits to his territorial and influential aspirations now, there is no telling what he‘ll do next.
I wish they would quit crying about the BORDER!!!!!!! Especially since it was the RepubliCONs who stopped the border deal that even the Border Security Union wanted.

Germany did NOT put more money in their military because of Trump but because of the war in Ukraine. Trump‘s threats to leave Nato has only diminished trust in the US as an ally and diminished its importance. In a military treaty the task of defending is spread on many shoulders. With the US faulting on their duties, Europe will have to shoulder more. By the way, the US is the only country ever to invoke the Nato article after 9/11 and all the allies supported them.

2:10 "to trump's credit, he did..." Absolutely not. They only increased their military spending not only after trump's term, but DIRECTLY in response to Russia invading Ukraine. The baltic states always had +2% committed to military spending. Germany especially increased spending only after Russia invaded. Even pacific allies like Japan only really started expanding military spending after Russia's invasion. Had Russia never invaded, this military spending increase would not have happened.
It’s true, some NATO member nations weren’t investing in their own defense according to NATO membership rules and their respective GDPs. And if any of you don’t understand the absolute necessity of stopping the Russian invasion from spreading without starting WWIII, you need a history lesson; pay attention.

The Ukraine/Russia exit strat is for Russia to leave all Ukraine territory and not benefit one iota from Imperial aggression. If not now it will be worse later. Had we our act together, Ukraine wouldn't have lost any territory. Now we have to play catch-up. So to recap, when Russia gets tired of losing and retreats from Ukraine then we can exit. I like TYT but I don't know why this is not self evident.

I do agree with funding for Ukraine and Taiwan, but I do not agree with funding to Israel without any kind of conditions. The funding for Israel should've been conditioned to put safeguards not to harm or attack Palestinians civilians and making sure they get feed and medical treated if necessary. Safeguards to protect this populations especially the elderly, women, children and the youth... Also putting restraints on the kind of military weapons this money is going to fund...

Two things:
1) Our Defence Aid packages end up being a massive boon to the US economy. I swear the contempt people have for the Defense Industry is completely unfounded, unlike most companies that outsource manufacturing the defence contractors still predominantly manufacture within the US. When we provide a nation money for defense it also comes with the stipulation that the money must be spent with US contractors. So where pretty much giving that money right back to the US economy, also the defense items sold are usually stockpiled and collected within boneyards, which allows the US to get rid of them and then keep our military updated with the most modern equipment.
Secondly: the reason we don’t have universal health care or education isn’t because of the aid we provide. The money involved in funding these two initiatives would require the restructuring of money already spent in those sectors especially universal health care. The reason we don’t have them is cause we’ve never gotten the support to pass the legislation. And one of the reasons for lack of support is because people have equated our defense spending to health care spending, that in order to have a single payer healthcare system we would have to reduce the former, which is inaccurate.
Yes, mr. speaker, every state in our nation, all 81 of them, has borders. Congratulations.
