This girl at my school (this story has nothing to do with jealousy by the way) she doesn't have a phone so she asks me every single day if she can log in on snapchat. Literally the first thing she says to me in 2nd period is "can I log in". No "hi" or "how's your day?" Just that one annoying sentence. I've had an old friend come out and say "I'm jealous of you". I've had another friend stop talking to me because a guy she liked fell in love with me (prior to me knowing they knew each other). I have had another old friend literally who was never happy for my success and wanted me to follow her to graduate school which she deemed to be success. I have had another old friend who just did not like me and stopped talking to me and being nice to me for seemingly no reason. i currently even have a boss who constantly tries to one up me.
all of these people are females. it is best to avoid jealous adults. pray for people because jealousy can make a person rot with toxicity. I have learned to focus on God and the people that i serve with love. yes I have lost many toxic friends, but I have always managed to have genuine hearted ppl in my life who look up to me and who love me. your mom is right to be cautious, my mom was too at one point. but never let someone cause you fear or worry. pray for God's protection and He will keep your enemies at bay.

I never ever had a problem with a certain girlfriend I have until I finally introduced her to my boyfriend of 15 years. I think she has a thing for him. She is 62 and single. He is 55 and wonderful. I’m 58 and very happy with our relationship. Fortunately we don’t have to engage her much, maybe once or twice a year. BF thinks she is hyperactive, opinionated and has baggage. We plan to avoid her. 3 is a crowd.

I have a friend of over 20 years and sadly I feel she has always been jealous me..example, I colored my hair honey blonde with golden blonde highlights. I hadn't seen her in some weeks. She met me at my home for us to ride together to an event. When I saw her I hugged her and told her how pretty she looked. She never complemented my hair color. At the event many women walked up to me and complemented my hair and color. 1 month later my friend sends me a picture of some colored hair that was very very similar to my hair color, and she said she loves the color of this hair and do I think it would look good on her. STRAIGHT COMPETITION AND JEALOUSY!

Found out my "friend" was jealous of me. One time I needed help taking crotchet braids and since my hair was way longer than her hair. So in the middle of taking them out she took scissors and cut my hair... she tried giving me a bullshit excuse. I gave her a small chance and she ended up stealing my makeup! Casual friends maybe? I suggest doing meet ups and hang out with people occasionally for events like beaches, museums etc.. that way you click with a few people and you keep it casual. Any sign of craziness..walk away. I understand 100%. Do not trust anyone unless they prove they are trust worthy.

I have had people try to bite my style, my hair color, my speech/mannerisms, multiple things, etc, but not give me credit for any of it! For me, it doesn't have to be an exact copy, but the fact that they are trying. This has mostly been done by people who I already had gotten bad/weird vibes from, in my experience. So when I start to notice someone copying me, I know that they will probably be full of drama...LOL...

Having a mixed group of friends and working in a mostly white environment, I know white women definitely do it. That’s how it is with my 2nd oldest brother his envy was off the radar he would always give backhanded compliments, put downs, insults disguised as jokes, and would try to turn my parents against me whenever they were mad at me. It’s really tough. Especially when you constantly support and hype up a friend who just goes radio silent whenever they feel insecure which is often. It’s like walking on egg shells with your accomplishments for fear of making them jealous and feeling like no matter how many words of affirmation you pay to them, they never pay the same back.
I'm 23 surrounded by 30+ women at my job. They snitch when I don't do something the way they want me to do it, I find a more efficient way. They give backwards compliments. They smile in my face & then go talk about me. I can tell they hate how I know how to bend the rules enough to not break them lol that's always been me. It's so hard going to work & not smacking her.
My best friend used to copy everything I did when she was chubby & I knew she had insecurities so I just chose to take the high road & made sure she knew she was beautiful. Now she's tall, slim & just as beautiful as she's always been. In a relationship & all that. We're closer now that we're older. I'm not a fan of being the so called pretty one so I didn't understand her jealousy at first bcuz guys are annoying but as I got older the more I understood the more I took the initiative to show her how much I appreciate her for her. Now I see her & we're complete opposites. Which is amazing. She's the calm to my storm.

She just found out that I am a little over six months older than her and she is a bit jealous that I have less money and manage to care for my health without medication. My son told me he has a guy friend that is always negatively judging his appearance. My son keeps up with all of the trends but he has his own way of styling himself. He says his friend always judges his hair and clothes whenever they hang out, and is passive about it. He throws little insults, trying to make my son doubt himself. From what I see, his friend doesn't wear what's in and dresses casual. Nothing wrong with that but why does he give a fuck what my son wears? He says this dude doesn't judge their other friends that dress similar to my son. Both of them are grown men. So I wonder what grown ass straight man does that? And he's got 2 years on my son. And is a parent, which my son is not. My son was thinking about confronting him but he feels like he'd have to fight him because this guy is arrogant.

Some older women that I've interacted with were petty as hell & jealous, while others were nice & friendly.
Me and my best friend usually can become very jealous of each other. I may get jealous of her because she may get nicer things then i got. She gets jealous of me because of my smile and how i look. Well we both talk over it and we both tell each other the things we love most about each other. I think that can really help a friendship rather then bringing it down.

I'm 2 years late and I am so glad I found this video . We are all jealous ,but some take it to the next level . When I'm feeling jealous I just go to God and pray that these feelings are going to go away . I had 2 toxic friendships that still hurt me . Other signs I found ... that person was constantly blocking me on social media without me even talking to them ..then they would unblock and follow back . They were literally building things in their head even when we weren't together . When I would feel happy they would constantly feel like shutting me down . I' m more of an introvert and I don't have my friends and these two people kinda made me lose hope in friendship . If I ever have a different opinion they would go nuts . Also they had this thing when they thought that I was copying them in the smallest things . I took this Instagram picture of some books and they told me that that is exactly what they wanted to do 2 months ago but didn't get the chance and that I copied them even thought they never said anything before about that to me .

Girl!!! I have been dealing with a jealous best friend for YEARS. And for years I was oblivious to it and it only took me now to cut her off. I’d been friends with her since 3rd grade & am barely cutting her off now at 18 years old. It’s a long story. 🤦🏽♀️ Moral of it all, cut them off as SOON as they start showing the signs.
I'm so glad you shared these tips. I've been going back & forth about some people in my life wondering if it could be jealousy. EVERYTHING you mentioned I've experienced from the people I've thought about. I really appreciate the fact that you did share this with us because sometimes we doubt what's happening and think maybe "I'm tripping." I do that so much because I just really wanna see good in people and think its something else rather than facing facts because it seems harsh to think of someone like that.
I'm not sure if she was jealous of me or just purely condescending. Long story short I was always broke so I never had new clothes and it wasn't so for my 'friend'. One day I had some coins and bought myself some dresses. Decided to put one on for a lunch date and she looked at me dirty and literally said, "Are you trying to look better than me, you can't do that" and she literally left and changed into something better. I believe I hated her ever since.

I've had people do that when I lost weight. And when I went to university to study music. I was called a show off . They'd talk over the top of me for nothing. Try to one up me . Made my crush hate me. Nit pick my solo performance when I got praised by the professors. Called a phony and a cheat. I'm a try hard. They look at my Facebook pages but never like my posts. I've had people copy my clothing even though they told me clothes didn't look nice. I caught on so now I buy clothing online or vintage shops.
They even joined the same gym I go to even though they live miles away from where I live. Pathetic really

Great points. This is my freshman year roommate 100%. I've often wondered what it is I do to attract these types of relationships. My favorite- critiquing me, the things I have, what I'm doing and then turning around and copying me! I just don't get it!!!

I feel so hurt. My best friends who are all girls that are my cousins are jealous of me. We basically grew up together but parted ways as we became adults. Meanwhile I’ve been working out eating healthy and in the best shape of my life. When we met during the holidays they were so surprised to see me. They were jealous of me and had all the signs you just mentioned. My heart is broken because I never had ill feelings towards them.
I never paid attention to this until I watched this I have a so called friend like this my car was in the shop the dealer gave me a car to use I told her it wasn't my car she was like oh I like it you should keep it. that night she brought another girl with her to ride pass my house saying I had a new car when I clearly told her it was a loaner the next week she got her dad to cosign for her a car exactly like it same color and everything. not the first time eithet

This is nothing but the truth! But sadly with me it was FAMILY MEMBERS that were showing the most malicious jealousy towards me. My cousin was extremely jealous of my looks. So much so, she - like you have pointed out in this video - copied everything I did. She also had a nasty attitude towards me while doing it. She hated me because she wanted to be me. My aunt was also jealous of me. Her jealousy started to get out of control when an ex boyfriend of hers complimented me on my looks. Its fucked up.
Yeah I'm only 14 and I've faced so many problems with friends and now I know that they are jealous and people I don't even know talk bad about me and are jealous of me. I didn't want these problems but who does. But anyway I loved this video, consider me a new fan💜💜
Justablondechick I experienced my first jealous friend at 12 and didn't realize it until when we were 14 she was stealing away potential boyfriend's that were talking to me. She wore her hair like mine, bought the same clothes and they all said this was a form of flattery. The boyfriend situation? Not so much. We stopped being friends shortly after that. You will find genuine friends. Learn to love you, follow your dreams.
I had this woman I worked with that claimed she was my friend blurt out to someone that "She(me ) is always happy, it make me angry" .....I was like WTF ?and she also did alot of things you mentioned so I distanced myself instantly after that

Thanks for sharing. I have this same situation. When I met this person she was struggling in many aspects of her life. Me being the genuine & generous person I was taught to be, I taught her all of my beauty tips, how to dress, and several other things. It wasn't until people close to me started tell me to be careful around this girl. They were concerned that she was not taking my tips to improve her life but she is trying to duplicate mine. Then I started to notice things myself. If I shop without her she is upset. She doesn't seem happy for me when something good happens to me either. I don't understand it. I've helped this girl improve her life when even her family wouldn't help her. This situation has taught me a lot about how naive I am to how mean people can be & for no reason at all.
Damn this video brings to mind this girl from the UK whose "friend" threw acid in her face. She was a stunner before and after, i forget her name now, she has tons of videos on RUclips I'm sure if you searched you would find her. Her story is one of triumph. yes i know exactly what you mean and have experienced its called female agression . i didnt understand it either . i feel it quite a lot from other females .you just want to say back off and mind your own business but they seem so unaware of what they are doing and that they have a right to behave like that. the whole thing about being watched for every little gesture you make and everything you do being scrutinized and evaluated . yes its very intimadating and can restrict your inner freedom and even your will to live . unfortunately it seems to be a female thing ,though i am still investigating and hopeing that not all females are like this .does anyone know of any females who are not like this ?Theres a book called ,,odd girl out ,,by rachel simmons ,which explains this phenomena and there are others . its been a more recent phenomena for me the power of the impact . and see the strengh of fear in your mum over you being hurt by the retaliation of going public ,thats how horrible unfortunately girls /women can be . i reported it to someone in authority and then that person made out that i was the one with a problem ,so then you feel like you have no where to turn and now that person is going to diminish you as well ,and is not a safe person . so you have my sympathy and i can see and relate to the stress and confusion and anxiety and the powerlessness of no way out type of thing but i think there is a way out . for now i would say be there for your self and distance yourself from this person and get really strong inside yourself ,,jim self has some good techniques .thank you for shareing and bless you for speaking out :)

I have had this all my life and that’s why I don’t have many friends. I had one girl in particular who’s ironically is a big instagram blogger today, she would copy exactly everything I would wear down to makeup, and the shoes. She also dated someone I use to talk to before her, and was in a relationship with an ex boyfriend after me. She would spread lies and say I was a lesbian, say that I slept around with celebrities, and even stole from me and blamed it on someone else. Another situation was another girl got into a relationship with my ex and bought my old car that my boyfriend for my 21st birthday. Even wore I ring I bought him, then turns up to a photo shoot as she was one of the glamour models, and I was styling the shoot, and she had the ring on her finger! So many women are foul, and think that it’s ok to behave like this. And the lies that come with their psychotic behaviour is unreal. I’ve also been interrogated by girls whom I don’t even know and would want to know if I’m dating a certain celebrity that I’m actually on the payroll for. I’m down to sticking to more of women should unit, but honestly there’s a lot of cuckoo ladies out there!
I going thru that at my church. Im the pastor's daughter. I dont feel like i am protected by my own father at all because he so busy trying to please those who complain and lie on me. I had to fast and pray for God's protection for me and my family. So i do understand where your mom is coming from. But because of Spiritual warfare concerning my family i had to call that demon out in Jesus name. How by calling on Jesus for the wisdom,knowledge and understanding before battle.
Sounds like a sociopath. I had almost the same issues with a co-worker. Tried to distance myself, then it was seek and destroy from her end. Tramatic for me. I just didnt want to be bothered yet she kept stiring the pot.

Wow... you just described a narcissist ex friend that I just discarded after 20 years of friendship. All 10 things you mentioned she did to me over the course of 20 years I really shouldn't say she did it to me she did it to herself because the friendship is over!
