Hey everyone, I’m back! I appreciate all the love I’ve received in the comments after being gone for so long. If you’re wondering where I’ve been and what’s going to happen to future videos, look out for another upcoming video. No timeline on that videos release date, but that’ll explain most things, if not everything.
I think OLED has too many advantages over Zowie's best for gaming. If your playing a high contrast color game like Valorant, sure would be fine. But for CS2 and especially CS:GO back in the day this monitor just causes enemies to blend into the background. Pair that with 1080p, FHD, makes for added blurriness. CS2 pros should not be followed for their 4:3 below 720p, HD, resolution, they're old heads and dragging young gamers that could overtake them. They're good because of their experience, reflexes, and knowledge. The gaming ecosystem is now at 1440p, 2K. What Zowie has done right is stick with 24"-25" size screen, by the human eyes is the correct size to stay within cone of vision. The borders are fine, be sure it's built for mobility and protect the screen likely. Not sure why Zowie isn't selling screen protectors for travel.

Yeah since I got a 240hz 1440p woled for shooters nothing excites me anymore but that makes me happy cause it’s my endgame monitor, I’ll leave 4k for my tv 🤷♀️
Well well well, if it isn't 1 of my few fav techtubers that are actually good at shooting games, welcome back. Tldr for my opinion of Zowie monitors is, not worth even if ur a hyper competitive gamer (unless u literally no life 1 of the shooter games and that ur pc can push out those frames). Otherwise, any type of high refresh rate OLED is God tier.
I find it crazy because you crossed my mind a few days ago, I came to the channel to see if you were still uploading and didn't see anything. Not even 3 days later you get recommended to me lol and it seems you're back!
It is kinda strange having played games for a decade when BenQ reigned supreme for basically any comp gaming monitor, OLED has really thrown a spanner in the works for them and it seems like they dont know how to respond beyond trying to let people cling to their legacy.
The $1000 price tag is too much. The LG at $1400 is the better monitor in most ways, and the Alienware is 40% cheaper and acceptable enough for anyone on a 'budget'. BenQ/Zowie have earned their reputation in esports, but thats not enough, the price is too high and Dell and LG tend to have sales/coupons. This should be $750 MAX. Also while the LAN features are nice, no big esport event will allow you to use your own monitor, so its kinda moot.
I compared the xl2566k (my main for 2 years) to an 1440p 360hz Oled and instantly sold the zowie. There is literally no comparison between TN and OLED. No matter how zowie market it, TN gets destroyed in response times, color performance, image quality, motion handling. Even the DYAC stuff is nonsense and 90% of pros don't even use it because you need frame rate = to hz to really benefit from dyac. Not to mention the crosstalk and double images that are present with dyac. The OLED has ZERO ghosting and the motion handling rivals dyac without all the caveats. Zowie really just clinging to their name honestly.
Zowie xl2586x is slower than Asus pg248qp 540hz because average response time of xl2586x is around 2.25ms which is terrible yeah you can increase the overdrive to get faster response but it also increases overshoot which is not good the average response time of PG248qp is 1.2ms which is really great not only that pg248qp has better response time xl2586x at lower refresh rate too.

We need a 540 hz monitors comparaison. We know that the ZOWIE is beaten by the ASUS, but the 540hz monitor from AOC and ACER haven’t been reviewed yet. And the ACER is half the price of the ZOWIE. The ZOWIE is not that great overall because it will suffers from anormal latency if your game can only run only at 360hz, 240hz or lower.
Please tell me you're going to make a video on the upcoming 1440p 480Hz OLEDs. I want a competitive experience for battle royale games or games that can take advantage of 1440p, I have a 360Hz OLED right now and in terms of motion smoothness it doesn't really come close to anything with ULMB/BFI. Really hoping 480Hz smooths that out a ton.
From the reviews I have seen the Asus monitor with this panel performs a little bit better all around. Even in the motion blur region because of ULMB2. If you want to buy a 540Hz monitor I would probably go with that one. Also Asus in EU Amazon is 900 EUR while the zowie is 1200. Don't buy that
What about zowie's balck equalizer and color vibrance? Does the LG have something similar that is nearly as good? I have the old XL2546K which I love and recently got a PG27AQN a few months back that I like but honestly miss the smaller 25in form facter for more competative games. 1440p is ok but it's not's a massvie difference that I care much about. I still find the Zowie qol features to be more of something I use. However that LG seems the closest to something I'd like. The PG27AQN does have a 25in mode but it's odd and requires me to change settings in the control panel to utilize. Does the LG just need to use the physical switch on the back?
8:36 this is how I felt going from 60 to 165, I’m worried if I get a 240hz or higher I’ll never be able to use a regular screen ever again. Though I am slightly at an impasse maybe you can help me answer this, but if a 42 inch monitor is just as wide as an ultra wide plus the added vertical height, what would the point of getting an ultra wide be? Does that make sense?
1k for a non OLED is just so hard. Gonna rather save up for 1440p 360hz, but im not a pro so I guess that makes sense and this product has it's place. I would just think like.. $400 less or something honestly.
BFI or MBR makes ur eyes.... and after hours u are broken.... i stop to use mbr after all i got 1 week ago g6 oled 360hz... there is no way that i will use bfi again or LCD for gaming.. i get never tired. And flashes they disappear faster on oled.

No comment on the pixel density of 1080p on the LG? I feel like that would be a major consideration for esport monitors, for someone who just plays video games and wants a premium experience the LG seems better but for esports specifically in struggling to see how it’s even a comparison
What about the screen size difference for esports? Maybe that is something for a future video as the oleds are not as far as I know in the 25" marked? I know you can downscale the LG but if I remember correctly it ain't good.

as I thought. By the time we get the be all end all displays, gaming in general is a non nonchalant, cavalier, care bear thing of the past. That spark that gaming had two decades ago has faded. When games used to be super interesting, all your friends were playing the same games and the talk of the proverbial town of when the next patch was gonna hit and it was gonna bring super good changes is long since forgotten. The problem is that gaming companies found out. What did they find out? They found the middle ground between making money and exactly how good a gaming has to be to bring the optimum revenue stream. Which is a good thing if you own the company or you are a share holder of said company. In practice for people who use this games, who plays this games, whom want to enjoy these games, it's less exciting times. Money and fun is at odds with each other. The most fun games were to have been made were mods of games made by the community where money was not the incentive. Who here is surprised by that? What mods you say? Counter Strike was a mod of Half-Life. Some people don't know that. Dota, a acronym that stood for Defense of the Ancients, a mod of the old Warcraft 3 game that came out in 2002. Tons of other games like this existed, some less notable, like the OSP or Rocket Arena 3 mod for Quake 3 that came out in 1999. All my friends were playing this. My point? That gaming got optimized for revenue and it's the bare amount of fun it has to be, and not a inch more. Which is fine if you are a bored 14 year old. Not so fun if you have been around the block and seen for your self that better is possible. My two cents. I'm out.
I went all in on OLED, got the 321UPX so I've been playing OW 4k 240hz and it's been amazing. Then I'll switch and play single player games and indie games, it's glorious. Def think if you grind 1 game for ages and are highly competitive LCD is still the way to go because you will burn in the HUD for sure lol.
I was going to buy the Asus pg248qp but you made me wait for 1440p OLED 480hz because of your slow motion lg OLED 480hz and zowie 540hz test OLED 480hz is superior it doesn't have double imagining and it has way better Colors it's easy to spot enemies on better color monitor.
purchased 2546k before they dropped the new versions. realizing I prefer the look of my old asus panel even though it was only 144hz. something off for me with these monitors, wish I had bought a different monitor at 1440p
The problem Zowie has is quality control and image quality. Back in the peak 240Hz days you'd be able to argue the worth of sacrificing sharpness and colors for the fps, but now that 480Hz OLEDs and IPS panels with similar or less latency are coming out at resolutions above 1080p, the price for the 2586X just can't be justified. Coupling that with panel and software issues on many units just reinforces my belief that BenQ needs to get with the times and stop banking on the enthusiast nostalgia that drives most of their repeat customers. I upgraded to a 270Hz 1440p monitor because the increased pixel density vastly increased my performance over the missing 90 frames, and I'll probably upgrade to a 480Hz OLED 1440p monitor for the reduced latency and extra frames at *the same proce point* as the Zowie, which is just getting embarrassing... Also, welcome back! I just searched up the channel again because I wanted to see if you had reviews of the new monitors hitting the market this year and I was overly happy with the Acer Predator xb273ugx recommendation I based my last upgrade on :))
Great video. Love monitor content. Just one tiny *well akcschually* **adjusts glasses** 😂 - BFI is an oled thing, for non oleds it's called strobing. Thanks and sorry to be the nerd
Exactly what I've been looking for, for a while. Considering buying the LG and getting into 4k gaming (with the option of competitive), but for the most part I only play competitive games, so perhaps the 4k 32" would be too much. Will keep this video in mind when deciding
Hey Bijan, it's so nice to see you talk about the higher refresh rates that we have in 2024, while also talking about OLEDs that have been getting more popular every day. I'm glad to have you back man! Couldn't stand the normie reviewers recommending people to buy 4k monitors for competitive lol
Most of the cs2 pros still use 360hz zowie and I think it's good enough for any level. Great to see you back man. One of the best monitor reviews with competitive background.
Yes, the OLED is superior in everything except, literally, just not having 540Hz. It’s not even close: better response time, better image quality, better colors, contrast ratio, etc. Dual mode: 4K 240Hz for single-player games, movies, and media; 1080p 480Hz for esports titles. If you aren’t a top 0.1% pro and actually hitting 540fps in those esports titles, you’re getting scammed. Don’t buy the BenQ.

Great to see you post a vid, although I did miss the usual mother joke. Hope you’re doing well sir👍🏻👍🏻
Thoughts on the upcoming 27" 480Hz Oled monitors?
took you long enough
Most of the cs2 pros still use 360hz zowie and I think it's good enough for any level. Great to see you back man. One of the best monitor reviews with competitive background.
heeeey welcome back
Love your content
A pleasant surprise when I got the new video notification. Welcome back chief
Wouldn't OLED monitor be much better?
Yes, the OLED is superior in everything except, literally, just not having 540Hz. It’s not even close: better response time, better image quality, better colors, contrast ratio, etc. Dual mode: 4K 240Hz for single-player games, movies, and media; 1080p 480Hz for esports titles. If you aren’t a top 0.1% pro and actually hitting 540fps in those esports titles, you’re getting scammed. Don’t buy the BenQ.
welcome back
I'm so glad to see your channel pop up on my feed again. Are you going to be making more videos? Your content is great.
OMG, my favourite youtube channel is back!!!
Man, I missed you. Hopefully we see more regular content in the future, nothing needs to be perfect.
I thought I was trippin when I saw a Bijan vid on my sub feed
