    dude love you dig into the details but It's a bit unfair to compare TN with OLED...not even mentioned that these two panels are mostly adopted for different usages. Zowie uses TN for fast but not anything else, and it's born for pro-gamers. From that point I think Zowie's performance is justified enough

    Hey there's more monitors with BFI, ones with ULMB 2 look better than ones with DyAc as they have almost no crosstalk. Some of which aren't just for eSports either and actually look good for singleplayer games too (like 1440p IPS). If any of these interest you I'd like to see a review. i have both 1080p 540Hz TN and 2K 240Hz OLED, honestly speaking, Motion Clarity is not so huge between them, you still feel that 540Hz TN with BFI ON beats 240Hz OLED, but going back from 2K to 1080p, that is a huge downgrade, trust me.

    Seems like a $300 monitor. It has better high apl brightness and probably a longer life than oled, but the contrast and resolution isn't even close. The OLED looks more nautral in motion even with some blur. If the strobing is perfectly tuned maybe it's a different story but out of the box that looks like it has an oversharpened ringing effect going on with those artifacts

    • @lilpain1997
      @lilpain1997 9 месяцев назад +1

      its a monitor made for those who play esports games... they do not care about 1080p, matte, perfect contrast ( they will literally turn brightness up to max in games and use black equalizers to get an advantage ). OLED makes no sense for someone who plays games competitively as they will just burn the thing in with UI/HUD of their game and they do not need the HDR capabilities, the contrast nor do they even need the amazing colours. I would take this over an OLED for my rhythm games any day of the week and I have done exactly that with another 360hz monitor. I use my QD OLED for AAA gaming and more casual gaming ( if its 21:9 ) and whenever I want to play a competitive/rhythm game switch to my 360hz.

    Huh. I feel like Zowie meant to send you the XL2586X instead but fucked up and sent the wrong model, because the XL2566K is already a year old. I got mine for Christmas 2022. 😂
    The Asus 540 TN already puts this to shame for motion clarity, and even that is a piece of shit for overall image quality - even for esports titles. Feels like you need a fucking telescope to see shit on this little 24" screen, and when you pull it closer to compensate, the 1080p really kills the experience.
    I think 1080p is finally dead and no refresh rate is gonna save it. On today's GPUs, the latency benefits of the lower res are no longer noteworthy imo. 1440p 240+ OLED is the way.

    I know this question is not relevant to the video but...
    I am not a hard core gamer by any stretch of the imagination, I mostly use my comp to do intensive software development and watch tutorials and movies... I need a lot of screen real estate so I want to work with an ultrawide and I also value a lot resolution , as it makes text much crisper and clear, and refresh rate as it makes the whole experience smoother.
    At this point I think the LG 40WP95C fit the bill , but as it is kind of an old model I am hesitant to buy it as I think that something better , especially on the refresh rate side (my only gripe with this monitor is that is not very bright and has a 72Hz refresh rate..) might come out this year...
    What is your take on this?

      @@patrikmediau still can see the grid pastern at 27" 4k so 24" 4k would be awesome at high refresh rate if the gpu is capable, if not u still can enjoy 1080p at that size as 4 pixels would make out 1 1080p pixel so to speak as 4k is 4x of 1080p.
