Super small bezels are not always the best for competitive players because it makes the screen too natural and uniform in comparison to the background. That is also why benq even includes the "wings" for additional focus on the screen. Me for example, since I have ADHD, I prefer thicker bezels 100%.

I bought this monitor and was so excited for it to come in the mail. I waited for days on days but the day finally came. Everything was perfect. I plugged it in (ready to nerd out) only to discover that 360hz isn't possible while using an RTX 2060. Looks like ill be getting an entirely new PC in the near future!
Do you still love the DT1990s ? How do they compare to the 800s for sounding open, spacious and for gaming? I heard the 800s can’t get that focused sound. Don’t know if the 800s are worth it, they aren’t even build as good as these

I just had a question, I really wanted to use this monitor solely for gaming and another for multimedia purposes. I was thinking of going with the Alienware aw3423dw for multimedia purposes but I don't think I will be able to fit both monitors on my desk, do you have any other recommendations - btw a monitor of any budget, thinking of going all out.
Is there any chance you can add latency tests to your reviews? I think I’m going to keep using my 390 Hz Acer for now and wait for ASUS’s 500 Hz monitor.
@@aandrej it feels good, i definitely see and feel a difference, but it didnt make me a better player but i would say there was a improvement like 10-20%. A second monitor is definitely nice to have. I would recommend it but i got it for 500 bucks so yeah if u can get it cheap then go for it but if you buy it for the normal price i would maybe fo for 240hz
I currently own the benq 27, 240hz model. If they bring out the 27 inch instead of 24.5, I'll consider it. Otherwise it's not worth the tiny screen. When getting into this type of hobbies, money isn't the issue in my case. It's all about the feel and specs. Now I am spoiled and can never go back to 60hz. It makes me dizzy.....
I just ordered the XL2566K yesterday. Hopefully it will arrive next week :D I was one of the first who had a 240Hz monitor back in 2016 where I bought my XL2540. Until now it was been my primary monitor and has done good work. But I feel like this DyAc technology, which is missing on my old monitor, could really improve the clarity in game. Also now I just installed the blurbuster storbe utility tool and I can say that it is already looking clearer on my XL2540. First I tought I would notice when G-Sync is disabled because that is what DyAc will also do/ not come with, but I didn't even noticed it. Currently I play a lot of Overwatch2 and there I definitely get the constant 360fps or even more up to 600. I'm really hyped for the 360Hz and DyAc+!

I play a lot of Overwatch and when I connected the new monitor and switched to 390Hz I felt no major difference. But then I found out that the DyAc+ feature was completely disabled. Once I enabled it it was a different world. It felt like I am really playing in real time if you know what I mean. It is extremely smooth, also when moving around. I did the UFO test on the BlurBusters site before with the XL2540 and then with the XL2566K and the difference on the new one is insane. Now I got used to it, so I don't really feel it anymore, but if I would connect my old XL2540 I would definitely would not want to play with it anymore.

Sounds like you got it right already. lamzu would be a great pickup. There's also the 4khz option from g wolves and 4khz dongle + viper v2 pro that could work for you as well.

If this will be your main monitor for most things... the benefits of an IPS panel far out weight the benefits of a TN panel and the difference between the two will not effect your gaming performance at all compared to other features... having a TN panel will only degrade your viewing experience in terms of colour accuracy and viewing angles as well as being the worst choice of panel for professional work like photo & video editing etc, i am currently typing this from a BENQ XL2420G (TN Panel) and i can say the only scenario i'd choose this panel over and IPS panel is if i was competing for real money & this monitor touched nothing but video games for it's entire life...

@@BTaesthetics beasically in rhythm games, because they're so low-demand in terms of specs you can usually get 200 or more FPS even if your running a pentium and integrated graphics. So using a high refreshrate monitor really helps. As it makes the notes easier to see and helps with reaction times. Also when you get to the point where I am, where a 60hz panel pretty much prevents you from getting further, having a higher refreshrate can help you get even better at playing rhythm games. Also a bug border on the edge of a display can help immerse you via keeping your eyes closer to the center of the screen. Whereas while playing with a near-borderless screen, it can distract you especially if you have ADHD or a natural disorder that makes your attention span the same as a goldfish's.
I got a xl2566k a week ago.. the backlight uniformity on these Zowie monitors is tremendous. Mine is very bright on the bottom half and darkest on the top half. The colors change gradation within a few centimeters. I don't see many advantages compared to my old xl2546s (240hz DyAc plus), indeed I think that this new 360hz suffers more motion artifacts (corona in particular).
I got it 3 weeks ago too. I can confirm that the contrast is horrible, pixel density, and it can tear your whole sight apart. The monitor is not good at all. I am back to 240hz also zowie with dayac on high.
I really wanna see a double blind test to see if anyone can actually tell the difference between 360 and 240 because I've got a feeling the difference it's gonna be extremely minute
Would the "average" person be able to tell? Maybe not but I guarantee you EVERY single high level fps player will be able to tell the difference without a doubt. It's only the casuals and noobs who can't
I've used the xl2546k, xg2431, 25xv2q, and the xl2566k. I'm immortal on valorant and I can definitely tell the difference, with that being said it's not going to make you something you aren't. But when you do those big flicks you retain more information on your surroundings and it's much easier to react and hit a flick.

No, you don't need the measurement consistency for competitive reasons, you need it because it's a TN panel and if anything is slightly off your $600 monitor looks like trash.

Do you run it with or without dyac? Dyac is smoother, but no dyac is less input lag.
The input lag is barely noticable but playing without Dyac is pretty bad.

finally someone agrees with me. I had a 24 inch benq 240hz. it killed my eyes and I can't spot the head of the enemies easily. too tiny it was!

TN panels are far superior to IPS, in my personal opinion of owning both types. OLED is king, though.
