Just so you know, you probably destroyed his very expensive clock spring by spinning the steering wheel like that. Edit: I just counted. He did three full rotations, I know on my ram the ribbon tape is long enough for about 3 and a half rotations. If he is lucky, it might still be ok, assuming his friends hasn't done the same thing. Lol
When I saw that. I was like! " ohhh no! Please don't do that!" We'll now the price has gone up! From $3600. I think the reason it's getting done their is he is trying to save a few bucks. But now! How much is the clock spring for a Bentley? Do they have a scan tool that can reset everything after they replace the clock spring? Umm if whoever is doing the work to take the dash out be able to put it back together properly if they broke the clock spring? Umm something tells me NOPE! The extra bolts and screws left over when it's done we're optional! Lol! And then who ever buys it next will take it for a drive! Enjoying how beautiful and perfect their new Bentley is! That is until a rattle happens!
Ohh one thing SuperSpeedster Rob! Don't get into fixing expensive exotic cars! Just rent them! Listen to what you said at the end of your Video and follow it as well! Lol. At least you have a transport truck to remove it ! Because it probably isn't moving on its own for a Lil while!
I'mma just casually spin this wheel, and win you a nice surprise on your dash when you connect the battery. Haha put the seatbelt through it and save $1000 of clock spring repair bills And leaving hardware in piles in the carpet and then laying the soft leather glove box face on top of them is causing more leather damage 🤦
Not sure I agree with Rob here. Someone who is picky about things like this would probably disregard the car upfront and walk away so you would be increasing your potential pool of buyers by addressing the issue upfront.
Its called "Dominoing" or "Snowballing". If you want that perfect just imagine the minor nicks and dings that working on the car will create. I'm with you!! Make it run and drive safely and let it go!
It's an electrical connection because the steering wheel spins. It's like a roll of wire. If you spin the wheel around with no connection to the tires it will break. It also breaks in an airbag deployment and cuts power to the cruise control and steering wheel.
Have you ever wondered how the buttons on your steering wheel work without twisting up a cord behind them or inside the steering column? That is what a clock spring is, and does.
Unfortunately, I don’t think I could handle a Ferrari, etc, at 58. I’d. love to try , but I’d probably be best as a passenger. Chemo slows me down, I’d sure love to drive a Ferrari though

Crazy how i never miss a feretti spaghetti clip. Even on dmb stuff. But ey that nsx.. you want an arm and a leg even with high miles.. so chasing down the issue.. kinda worked out didnt it? Lol obviously for your price if ever sold.. buyer wouldnt buy with lights on dash. They would know better. Heres 100 200k, no no, theyd want it fixed. Then make deal. And youre redeeming the fruits of your labor for it.
Rob, are you seriously telling people to not even attempt to fix their used car & make it the next buyers problem? Like seriously bro? I thought scamming people was what you were against!

Most cars the dash comes out simply...hahaha. I take a dash out about once a month at work and outside of ram 1500 they are not something that pops put easy. The ram is only easy because I've done it 30 times and have it ingrained in my head. Dash work sucks, everything is sundried and brittle and hidden clips/bolts suck.
Rob, why don't you just raffle your old inventory to your subscribers? $100 per ticket and if 1% of your subscribers pay for one ticket thats almost $900k per car.
People don’t realize how much money it cost to fix a sunbaked car. That car needs new paint interior anything plastic needs replaced? It clearly sat out in the sun too much.

I thought people were exaggerating about the clock spring. Holy crap he spun that wheel like wheel of fortune. Your friend gonna be thrilled.
Today Mr. Spaghetti spins the Steering Wheel of Misfortune and costs his paisan a clock spring.

A car that needs $3,500 to $7,000 in repairs is worth $1,000 less than one that doesn't.
That maths don’t it?
Screws scattered on the floor? yah, he's never getting all that back together 100%. RIP clock spring. 💀
I came here to comment about the clock spring. Looks like everyone else has it covered 😂
Same!
NEVER EVER SPIN A STEERING WHEEL THAT IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE RACK. Congrats on buying your friend a clockspring.
that clock spring is fucked now
Interior/exterior detailing is the only $ that helps sell a used car.
💯
FYI…a 2014 Bentley has already experienced its depreciation curve…
Never leave cars with leather dashes out in the sun or this will happen to them 100% of the time
And use a windshield shade if you really wanna leave your car out in the sun.
It's called leather conditioner and uv tint. Greatly extends the life when used properly
$3500 is dirt cheap for that job if it includes the leather work.
bad move spinning that steering wheel
Clock spring may be broken now lol when spinning that wheel

Aren’t Bentley’s basically a Bugatti
Closer to a VW or BMW than Bugatti. But I believe they are under the same ownership umbrella.
shivams evo all over again, that Bentley is never going back together again is it.
Bentley ownership should preclude one from working on their own cars. If the owner is fixing this himself he is not worthy of owning a Bentley.
