This guy is by no means the best woodworker on RUclips but is the only woodworker who I can stand to watch every video all the way thru and I have enjoyed watching him become better and better. Good job dude
I'd love to see a version of this where you gave the whole top surface that topographic look with the wire wheel and then crystal-epoxied over it so that definition is still visible.
This table looks fantastic, but medium sized round tables are just misfit pieces of furniture. You can't eat at them, they're too big to be coffee table or a side table, you can't put them up against a wall, they're usually at an awkward height for sitting or standing, and more. They just don't seem to serve a purpose other than to put a bowl of flowers on and some family photos. Maybe as an overflow table for a big meal. But that's about it.
I loved the table Scott designed. Looked amazing with the different colored epoxy. Talking about cool tables, I'd really loved your flame desk. The size, shape and color were amazing.
The colour of that wood is truly beautiful. I could stare at it all day (beats a lot of what's on the tv). Plus, it appears so tactile with the ridged sides, it just adds to the table's interesting appearance. I think if it was my table I would ask if the sides could be made slightly more satin looking like the top surface. At least that's how it looks on my pooter screen. Love your work as always. Btw, I would be the wrong person for this table as I have nowhere to put it, but if I lived in a huge house I would probably now own several dozen wood tables 😊
Cam I really enjoy you, it's a good thing that mother nature is such a great table builder and your table base sub are also good at what they do, you're a great assembler. How about a drawer, or a cabinet door... you have the tools
The circle xutting jig from the mafell in combination with their cunnex blades give already a very solid round cut, maybe good to try it once. Mafell also has a block sander which is actually orbitting, it kinda is as fast as the belt sander but as precise as a orbital sander. Migth save some sweath.
2 reasons I watch your videos. 1. I love your work! 2. Your narration is as beautiful as the furniture! "Ya, I like nice shit." hahahaha a true craftsman.
I LOVE your comment - "I like nice shit" - I fully agree when it comes to having NICE tools. When you have nice quality tools, it makes you feel nice and when you feel nice working you will end up making nice things........
Why do you scold us at 3:30? 🤣 I never comment, but I was so surprise about this "violence" that I needed to comment. (I'm not english native so, I'm sot sure about the verbe scolded)
It’s stunning! You build for someone who wants unique. You can buy the donuts elsewhere. Understand why it costs money too. Time is money quality tools are worth it if you’re doing it for a living . It’s Grace company Graco
Have you tried the Total Boat penetrating epoxy? I have used it on ambrosia maple to stabilize the wood then finished with the Total Boat Halcyon varnish for my wife's desk. It worked great.
Cam, we know you can make a resin table using dirt. we want you to build a table, made of dirt.and the top is shiny like a regular epoxy, but the insides are dirt.
I've been watching you for years and I found myself a couple of weeks ago in Sellwood for an errand and I thought, I don't think creative woodworking is that far from here. Should I make my fiancé drive us there and see if Cam from blacktail studio is there? But I decided against it because I'm a swedish woman on vacation to visit my fiance and I do absolutely 0% woodworking. If you actually WERE there I realised just how creepy that would be of me. Anyway, love your channel, thanks for keeping me entertained and sorry for being creepy!
I went and looked at the table and it is beautiful. But I think there are two people with a problem here you for running your product down then asking $8500 and me for even thinking about buy it.
I hear you Cam. I like nice shit too. Festool, woodpeckers and lots of other high end tools. And I catch shit all the time for it, but I don’t care. It makes me happy.
I don't know maby I'm a unicorn, I don't think so but I've heard at least 3 " RUclips woodworkers" ( ugh I hate even saying that) saying " I hate sanding...bla bla bla" . I don't want to ever get to a place in my life where I can't appreciate the small steps like sanding that make things better
arent there specialized penetrating resins which would have resulted in a deeper infusion? is there a reason why you didnt use those or was it just not worth getting and using what was on hand?
Honestly I was rather surprised to see an American who owns a kettle. Considering it's your wife's tea kettle I get it, but honestly thought y'all just used the microwave or something 😂
There is no way that Cam went to GL Veneers and came back and his next epoxy table is a "resin infusion" Brah. Don't act like that was your idea lolz. resin infusion sounds like what they do when they don't want your body to stink so bad and they want to parade you around on a flowery bed.
This guy is by no means the best woodworker on RUclips but is the only woodworker who I can stand to watch every video all the way thru and I have enjoyed watching him become better and better. Good job dude
The thing Ive found is the best are not always the best at making money. It takes a combination of things. He's got the right formula it seams.
He's not?! Who is the best?
Agree, I should have read this b4 my post
I'd love to see a version of this where you gave the whole top surface that topographic look with the wire wheel and then crystal-epoxied over it so that definition is still visible.
ooh that sounds nice :)
That's actually a great idea. Makes me think an actual topographic map would be cool under epoxy. Just sayin
My thoughts exactly!
BLACKTAIL ARE YOU IN THE COMMENTS???? YOU ARE OUR ENTERTAINER

I 100% wish I had the space for this. It is gorgeous!! I spent 20+ years in Mendocino County and miss redwood furniture.
I love the look of the edge. It looks so tactile and interesting. I am curious if you have other ideas for table edges.
I loved the table Scott designed. Looked amazing with the different colored epoxy. Talking about cool tables, I'd really loved your flame desk. The size, shape and color were amazing.
The table turned out beautifully!
I truly appreciate someone who is cool with showing their flaws and mistakes and how to power through them. Regards.
You are not just a (great) woodworker, you are an artist Cam
Cam likes nice shit and then has a wood drill press jig. 😂 Love it!
The table looks amazing! The grain is great a well. I love the deep grooves on the edge grain!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent!
Brother I love ur honesty, I want to make content like u, but I ain’t got the money or time. Glad I could find someone with my humor
Cam you’re the GOAT. Bring back the denim tables please!
the denim tables were great until he sanded them down into wavy patterns. WTF. Its denim. Its not supposed to be fancy and artsy.
The colour of that wood is truly beautiful. I could stare at it all day (beats a lot of what's on the tv). Love this table, something different
I like that table. Kinda reminds me of a cookie that Cookie Monster took a little bite out of.
Any video with a mention of an E body Mopar is worthy of a like.
4:30 surely you said “practise ball” but sounded like “breakfast ball” to me 🤣
It 100% sounds like breakfast ball
It’s a new term I just learned. It’s a mulligan, but only off the first tee.
@@blacktailstudiouncut 🤣
Cam I really enjoy you, it's a good thing that mother nature is such a great table builder and your table base sub are also good at what they do, you're a great assembler. How about a drawer, or a cabinet door... you have the tools
It is beautiful
Isn't mother nature wonderful
That table looks awsome.❤
It’s a gorgeous table.
Stunning table, Cam! Truly amazing work!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I lost it on the Golf Swing. Too Funny
That wasn’t my worst of the day
@@blacktailstudiouncut Yep I've been there too.
You’re so weirdly honest and we love ya for it… 😂 Good job Cam.
That’s a beautiful table in so many ways. Just wow.
Just a little tap. Just tap it in, breakfast ball 😂 I'll be using that next season
Cam thanks for the inspiration. Like the video and the spray on finish
I've done sand blasting in some cabinet doors for people turned out very nice
So, I like the table!
Beautiful table.
And you sales pitches are getting good.
Beautiful table! Congrats on this one! Good luck on your soon to be sold table!
Beautiful table ❤
well thats better then the string i seen you use to make a circle table
Cam... I love your woodworking and my good I love your shit talking. Please dont ever stop.
The circle xutting jig from the mafell in combination with their cunnex blades give already a very solid round cut, maybe good to try it once. Mafell also has a block sander which is actually orbitting, it kinda is as fast as the belt sander but as precise as a orbital sander. Migth save some sweath.
I’m always mesmerized when you put oil on the table and the colors come out. It’s like to put swords in oil at the end to make it perfect
Its beautiful! Love it. Wish I could afford it.
Very cool! The base goes very well with the table top. Did you sell it already? I don't see it listed in your shop.
Feels like a natural finish would suit the look of the table better, cool nonetheless
I always love your videos as well as the subtle innuendos and your diatribes lol
That base 👌🏾
You should look into getting an orbital longboard.
Looks absolutely awesome..
I nearly had a heart attack when you drilled the centre hole for the router jig. I thought it was the top side 🥵
Buy a belt sander. It'll keep it flat while sanding 👍🏼
Why do you scold us at 3:30? 🤣 I never comment, but I was so surprise about this "violence" that I needed to comment. (I'm not english native so, I'm sot sure about the verbe scolded)
Declares to love "nice shit"; proceeds to use a block of wood as a perpendicular drill guide. Love your irreverent humor.
Wow, Im not a good golfer but could help your game out a ton. 😀
It’s stunning! You build for someone who wants unique. You can buy the donuts elsewhere. Understand why it costs money too. Time is money quality tools are worth it if you’re doing it for a living . It’s Grace company Graco
Very nice,
Ahhh morning wood!
Im disappointed you dont have a Festool jigsaw. The carvex is dope.
Have you tried the Total Boat penetrating epoxy? I have used it on ambrosia maple to stabilize the wood then finished with the Total Boat Halcyon varnish for my wife's desk. It worked great.
“Yeah, I like nice shit!” 😂😂😂 you’re hilarious! Love the vids and the work! If I could afford those tools I’d do it too
mother nature is crying....that was hilarious. Now I'm crying
You should always own your wood.
That teapot is actually a kettle 👀
LoL - "I like nice shit!" - that should have been the prove you've watched the entire thing. I really like the table.
Love the table!!!! Too bad I am poor. If you ever want to give it away just let me know! LOL
Breakfast ball? Just curious what your camera setup is.
Hi can I really like your content. Because of you I decided to try out woodworking and it worked out pretty well
those audiotracks are so damn cool tho!
Cam, we know you can make a resin table using dirt. we want you to build a table, made of dirt.and the top is shiny like a regular epoxy, but the insides are dirt.
and you have to see the dirt. Like a blue jeans table, they go together like blue jeans and dirt.
Cam your the best mate , gorgeous table . ive disappointed a few mothers as well hahaha
Always love your vids
Dope-tastic.
THANKYOU VERY MUCH FOR HINDI AUDIO🙏
What do you do with the shmedium offcuts you have?
you dont have to talk me out of buying it, Cam. I'd love to but I have a mortgage to pay lol
❤❤❤❤❤

Nice
😂😂😂😂I like nice shit! Classic! ❤
Collab with Malecki when?
Cam, I don't think youre putting enough Newtons in tightening down your angle grinder discs 😅
So I didn't read any of the other comments...why not use total boat penetrating epoxy? Didn't have any on hand and didn't want to wait to order some?
Are you ever going to do anything with that chunk of land and those buildings?
I don't know maby I'm a unicorn, I don't think so but I've heard at least 3 " RUclips woodworkers" ( ugh I hate even saying that) saying " I hate sanding...bla bla bla" . I don't want to ever get to a place in my life where I can't appreciate the small steps like sanding that make things better
Quick question: how many times do you think you have said "red wood" during the making of this and the previous video?
Would you recommend this table for backyard wrestling?
Love your work but any chance you would make a non slab non epoxy table. Like I want to see you use a different set of skills that I know you have
Why don't you say on your main channel that you have this other channel cut? I discovered it by chance but with great pleasure., I am in france
Ready for the guy that gets mad because Cam said “shit” multiple times and his kid heard it.
Yea, I like nice shit
Still waiting for you to make a Battlefield Chessboard, Cam.

0:24 judging by the title, this is some statement about cutting down redwoods and how we shouldn’t do it?
Not seeing the link to the table, gone already? No toddlers and my doggo is too short to jump that high 😏
What’s funny, is that in all the hustle to make this video I forgot to list it. Stand by.
As much as I like the table visually.. I am so clumsy, I would damage it 5seconds after setup
Trade proposal: Ill give you one mediocre golf swing tip that you definitely couldn't find online. In return, you give me a free table.
I like nice shit. GOAT status all day!!!
