Just bought a 2017 GX 460 same perly white but interior is a darker grey. So far love it. Only had it 2 days so far so your video was informative as to figure it all out. Always had Toyota’s but nothing quite this luxurious.
I am seriously considering getting one for work, I drive lot for work. It is supposed to be the most reliable SUV in the North American market. When I drove it, it just fit like a glove right off the start. Price is high but one or two year olds are very reasonable priced. For what it is, I think the value is there.

One of the toughest reliable suv ever created on planet earth outside of the Toyota Landcruiser, built like a tank easily last 500,000 miles doing rountine maintenance. People need to stop saying oh its a luxury 4 runner Not So. It's built on the Prado Platform, body on frame straight beast.

I get 23 mpg with my 17 gx

@ He's right on highway miles. I get 25 mpg on road trips. 16 in town, though.
It gets better gas mileage without ac on and long trip less stop and go. But for 23-25 mpg is not real for daily drive

A lot of misinformation in the comments. The GX460/Toyota Land Cruiser Prado are built on the same frame and the Toyota 4Runner/FJ Cruiser are built on the same frame. All these cars are actually based on the same frame (just multiple variants) which is body on frame. The Highlander is uni-body and based on the Camry frame.

Hevin Amber I know that they don't sell prado in U.S.or Canada but they sell Highlander instead of prado and instead of fortuner they sell 4Runner and Lexus GX 460 is not a 4Runner and Lexus GX is more than 4Runner
Akash pandiaraj they sell the 4runner unstead of the prado and the fortuner .and the highlander instead of the harrier. and the gx and the prado shared the same chassis...

excellent tutorial (just one question - how do we turn the heat on? just by raising the temperature or there is an option somewhere to first put it on heat and then adjust the temp'.?)
I didn’t know that the oil change can be up to 10k miles. My dealer told me to change engine oil every 5k miles… I am in California.
As a mechanic who used to work for Lexus, master certified, it won't hurt to do it every 5k

So my 2017 GX460 has these weird “dots” on the map, they only show up if you drive on a road that you haven’t been on... Any way to remove that?

My friend. I currently have new gen 4Runner Limited and looking for an upgrade in luxury and options (also V8 engine). Since these two are very similar in terms of their truck based platform what do you think if I were to make the jump? The 4Runner is too off roady and thrashy on bumps. But I come from a family that owned 2 4Runners since 1996! ANy help appreciated, always love your vids!

Great question! Not as comfy as the LX570 but the LX is $40,000.00 more in cost.

The only thing prevented me from getting this vehicle is that back door. Just seems very ancient to me and I cannot understand why the heck Lexus just don’t put a lift gate instead. I mean, come on already.This does not suit the American market ,especially if live in a big city. Maybe ok for folks living in the suburbs.

I have the GX with this Ecru cream interior color. I like it looks bright and elegant. Just keep it clean

Thank you . After viewed your presentation , I bought a pearl white GX460 w premium package this month , traded in my 2008 Lexus LS460 . I had a 2005 GX470 prior to the LS460. I also bought another one with sports package / captain chairs for my son. Thank you .
