To be fair to the people who didnt respond and let him go off with Darla when he was "dressed nicely", Darla's reaction was super different. She acted (very well btw) like she was afraid of the guy in the 2ns scenario. So it would be way different
I was thinking the same thing
And the guy say much more . When he was dress nicely he just say i am her dad come on lets go.
And with the guy who did try to stop him when he was dressed nicely, he actually used the name she'd just given the stranger. So that added to the belief that it was her dad. He probably would have continued to stop things if that wasn't the case.

Those two last guys at the end brought tears to my eyes. Seeing people actually care and stand up for another human being was beautiful. Every child deserves someone to stand up for them like that.
The guy's approach when he dresses like a criminal is totally different.

@@sunny8392 It was not on based how he looked like. It was the way she reacted. In the second clip, where he gets pinned on the ground, she literally says from the start, that she doesn't know him. If that happened in a suit, people would have stepped in as well.

You did an extremely good job of proving that the vast majority of random men you meet on the street are good guys.
You also made a very good case for excusing police profiling, as soon as you started to look and act shady everybody questioned you and when they got unsatisfactory answers challenged, a very good argument for the legitimacy of profiling.

He legit was the only one that kept a decent distance from the girl throughout their conversation by the way, and others went like... too close to her, felt kinda awkward.
But you're right, his looking about around him just scared the shit outta me 3:25 fuelled my sus.
But she acted differently with both men so its not a good argument for profiling. With the first guy in the suit she wasn't panicking and wasn't refusing to go with him but the second guy she was and obviously that's why those guys stepped in big time. Nothing to do with the clothes they were wearing, it was how she was reacting.
@@Katie-rx8ql It's fair to say that her reaction to them could have had an effect, but it remains that the primary judgement was made off of the look he was projecting.
In the end it was a very good argument for the effectiveness of profiling as you see what appears to be legitimate passed by relatively unchallenged and politely and things that did not seem right were challenged to a greater degree.
Remember that socially it's improper to openly challenge people, and in the wrong place or the wrong time it can cost you dearly so the ability to profile situations correctly is extremely important on top of being pretty effective.

I shouldn't watch this when it's that time of the month, but my autistic child found a way to leave our house when we childproof the door. I was taking a nap with my son. I'm so happy that people in my neighborhood tried to help her. She was only 4 years old. I hope there will be more people out there who save a lost child. I was trying to say that the child actor acted against going with the guy in normal cloths, but when she was acting where the guy wore the suit, she did not act against it.

It actually means this isn’t a good experiment because the reaction and people are different, which in a real experiment, it would only be the people who are different. So you actually noticed something most people overlook. Nice!
I don't think people's reactions depended on the way guy was dressed. The little girl Just acted in a very different way. When the guy was wearing a suit,she held his handd withouth any del,while she almost escaped from the guy when he was dressed in the other way
