Pat why you dont do aux battles anymore?
did it 3-6 times per week for 2 years straight. I been taking a break
the game got repetitive, all the music picked was the same.. voting got predictable.. I might come back to it just give me some time.. plus NEW music has been stale

Pat saying “there’s nothing in this song that’s extremely layered” kind of disqualifies him from ever talking hip hop again

Eight bars later he drops the YNW Melly line

And the amount of classic references:

2. Teddy Pendergrass music sample
3. DMX with the hate the way you walk bar
4. Bring Diddy back with the slap
5. The FUBU line
There were so many black culture references in this song it was pure genius
Anyone saying drake is winning so far is exposing their poor taste
Oh shut up fanboy lol. Kendrick did a very good response, and also Drake's were great too
There is no clear winner rn, it's legit to think either way.

It's not too late for you to pull this down and re-upload once you figure out how many bars went over your head, bro. He stomped a lyrical mudhole in Drake on top of the surface level disses.

most entertaining part of rap in such a long time. We honestly need this competition with the biggest artists. Hopefully it fuels and inspires smaller artists to want to compete. You didn’t understand the FUBU reference. It’s not just the clothing brand it’s an abbreviation for For Us, By Us (which is also a Solange song). He’s not literally accusing Drake of never wearing the brand lol. He’s saying that Drake is an imposter/culture vulture looking for acceptance in the black/hip hop community

6:35 that’s what DMX said about Drake. So he flipped the AI Tupac with an actual quote from a GOAT.
Not glazing no one in this beef but to be fair to Drake DMX did do a later interview I believe in the breakfast club again saying they were cool and that he even let Drake sample How’s it going down.

These speedy "white boy reviews" DO NOT do this Kendrick record ANY JUSTICE. This is WAY MORE COMPLEX than what he's saying. There's NO WAY to speed through this!

Euphoria is how you figure out who _gets it_ and who's suburb
Bruh, the Tommy Hilfiger and FUBU bar wasn’t about him wearing the actually brands. I believe it’s a jab at drake being biracial and he’s more white than black.
Im sorry bro you wrong on this one, this song has multiple double entendres. For example, “The very first time I shot me a drac', the homie had told me that aim it this way, I didn't point down enough, today I show you I learn from those mistakes” it means Kendrick diss on “like that” wasn’t anything, he is now aiming lower dissing Drake, at the same time it also means Kendrick is at the top of the rap game and he has to aim down to shoot Drake. Also for this diss he used all of his personalities if you listen you can see he switched from Kung fu Kenny, KDot and ends with Pg Lang. Its a lot more detailed than you said, i like your videos but you wrong on this one my guy.
Facts!
Top critique
Also, during the “shot me a drac” bars he has the same delivery as Cole did on “first person SHOOTER”. Kdot attention to detail is immaculate
That's not what he's saying. The lyrics in the song is layered, it's just that on a first listen most of it was broken down easily and understood. It's complex but simple. Just making double entendres everywhere =/= good, it's the same thing people have been critiquing Em for. The delivery on most parts didn't land as hard, I think Dot could've emphasized more like the simple shit in Drake's Push Ups "Metro booming ...drums" line, where he closed off the beat to really let that hit.
My favorite part is the shit that hasn't been talked about before, or in a more unique way. Like so fucking cleverly switching the 1v20 line and mentioning Beam. Having 3 beat switches "3 switches..." from Like That, etc. You can't be wrong on subjective matters, I feel like Drake had better delivery on punchlines which I think makes his slightly better tbh
Pat those “compliment” bars were sarcasm if anything😂 he straight up told Drake he hates everything about him

4:42 I do wanna say, I don’t think this bar is about trans women. I think it’s either about kids or IG models that have plastic surgery. It just wouldn’t really make sense for Kendrick to drop a bar that could be misconstrued as transphobic, especially after Auntie Diaries.
i agree with that
I think it means these so called "real women" are just girls who party and pop pussy and not an actual good example of what a "REAL" woman is: someone with dignity and integrity instead of a pleasure seeking opportunist. Trans didnt even cross my mind when i first heard the song. I dont have an issue if someone wants to live their life as a pleasure seeking opportunist but dont be calling urself a "real woman" or "real man" when u live like that
That, also same thing bout the bars going at Drake for being feminine - he can feel free to be that just don't try to fake being a thug while twerking on stage
yea agreed he swung and completely missed with that 😂

You really started the video out saying this song isn’t layered 😂 the stanza arrangement with the ymw melly bar was crazy on its own with the entendres.
So many quotables in Euphoria: the pushing P/Pusha T flip, Drake not knowing how to properly raise Adonis, the title of the song being a reference to the show that Drake produced which has been HEAVILY criticized for oversexualizing high school characters???
Push Ups was great, but Drake needs to push that red button.
IMO it needs to be quickly followed by Kendrick pressing that red button. Using Pusha T is weak, he’s not him. Not properly raising Adonis is a lie. The Euphoria line is nice.

the real women line has nothing to do with trans women. Kendrick literally made a song about his trans uncle, why would he be transphobic only now
it refers to Drake's previous freakish relationships with girls half his age, therefore not a real, grown up woman yet

Rappers used to drop on Tuesdays so it’s appropriate
Tuesdays is correlated to mars that’s the day or war
Thanks I didn’t know that, I asked chat gpt and this is what they said:
Ah, I see! You're referring to the historical and mythological associations with the days of the week. Indeed, Tuesday is named after Mars, the Roman god of war. In languages derived from Latin, the connection is even clearer-for instance, in Spanish, Tuesday is "martes," derived directly from Mars.
The association comes from ancient Roman culture where each day was dedicated to a specific god. Mars, being the god of war, lent his name to the second day of the week. This connection emphasizes themes of conflict and courage. In astrology and mythology, Mars governs aggression, warfare, and assertiveness, influencing the interpretation of activities best suited for Tuesdays.
For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday.
@@MashuduMandaba-ch7xc
Here’s another one 😂:
The comment is a quote from the movie "Street Fighter," which was released in 1994. In the film, the character M. Bison, played by Raul Julia, says this line to Chun-Li, portrayed by Ming-Na Wen, after she recounts her tragic personal history with him. Chun-Li describes the day Bison attacked her village as the worst day of her life, to which Bison nonchalantly replies that for him, it was just another Tuesday.
The line has become iconic as an example of a villain being so cold and detached that a day that was life-changing for someone else was just an ordinary day for him. In internet culture, it's often used to express indifference or to highlight a disparity in how different people perceive the same event.
Ah yes, @@tez3211 & @treoneil7333 and if you run the date it's also a numerological "6" Day:

5. 8 bars explain that phrase then goes on to say if they ain’t friends he’s ynw melly who killed his friends. So he saying if Cole n drake ain’t friends he gona murder them on the track of course.
6. He Terrance Thornton I’m Terrence Crawford yea im whoopin feet./ pusha t govt name is Terrance Thornton. Dot says he’s Terrance Crawford whoopin “feet” which has a double meaning about Kendrick’s shoe sizes as well as when he refers to feet he’s talking about Terrance beating “BOOTS” ENNIS. Feet get it?
7. I hate the way you walk the way you talk/ is a big up to the dmx interview where he talk about how he hate these things about drake
8. You gone make me bring back Puff/ reference is to when Puffy slapped drake
9. Headshots for the year you better walk around like Daft Punk./ saying Drake should wear a HELMET like the daft punk members on their cover. HELLA DOPE BAR
10. The AI bar with the actors name is a QUADRUPLE ENTENDRE… hard to explain
11. CRODIE in the Canadian part ALSO has a double meaning… crodie is the NAME of drakes cat so Kendrick is also calling Drake a pus..
This is not even mentioning the obvious stuff… this diss was cold as hell
Pat definitely missed a ton saying it was too direct, lil upsetting tbh.

Honestly bro if you think there’s not other layers to break down beyond the obvious, then you’re missing a lot. Just the way you read some of these bars breaks them apart from their setup.

He missed the true point with "pacify". He's more so a referring to how Drake's music maintains the status quo. He's using the "to reduce to a submissive state" version as Kendrick's music is more rebellious and empowering in nature
I think it’s more drake gives ppl very current dopamine music while Kendrick makes ppl think and uncomfortable in good way
@@matletico that's a given. Status quo is comfortable. Rebelling against it or making people question it is uncomfortable.
It could also be the fact that hes just releasing his songs so fans dont get angry/sad like a baby without a pacifier meaning theres nothing behind his music
and then you're missing the part after about Kendrick saying he won't go deeper. it's hinting at the pedophile allegations
@@mrcool76789 not missing it. Just didn't want to discuss that part. I don't mind if a part is missed but felt like the other part was misinterpreted completely so I focused on that. Especially as the effect on the "culture" and who the "culture" backs is an important theme to understand throughout the diss and this was the bar that starts it. The other bar is more is more of a throw away that he stated he wasn't gonna go further on this song at least
These responses shows the values of each rapper.
Drake values: seeming successful
Kendrick values: seeming intelligent
J Cole values: peace
Hell yeah hahaha been waiting for Patrick to drop
"i didnt point down enough" that is not saying he is going to aim at his head, how can you get that. This time hes going to shoot down at drake, hes below him
Around 2 minutes into the song Kendrick uses the same flow that Cole does in FPS at the big three bar
Good catch!
The only reason you aren’t seeing the double and triple meanings is you’re clearly not reading into the lyrics and thinking about it longer than the initial what that means off the top
Anyone who got Drake is outting their ignorance and phoniness
5:13 “and that ain’t bars, I’ll explain that phrase” is not the lyric. It’s, “and in eight bars, I’ll explain that phrase”.
was scrolling to see, if anybody wrote this, before i do so myself. the “and in eight bars i’ll explain that phrase” goes into the ynw melly line. very cool execution from kdot
I don't know why people want to discredit the directness of this record as if the two greatest disstracks of all time (hit em up and ether) weren't also direct "I hate you" tracks. Let Drake fight his own battles.
The Story of Adion makes people think a diss track needs new information to be good lmao.
And they act like anyone could've made the Story of Addidon hit as hard as Pusha T did.
Drake tryna copy that comes off very vaginal
Hit ‘em up was literally made to be direct which is directly stated in the song, people just don’t know good music, also pat is 100% wrong there are 2 triple entendres I saw alone and I’m not even like that. The lyrics were crazy crazy with many hidden meaning I don’t even think it was that direct like that, just certain bars
"Aged like milk" is such a stupid insult.
Like bro, what do you think CHEESE is!?
Get off his willy dawg
man hell tf yeah to Kendrick LETTING DRAKE KNOW he's really got key information to bring him tf down instead of just f*cking spilling it all out cause that's how first of all refrain from sh*t REALLY getting dirty and ugly which then EVERYBODY f*cking ironically and hypocritically laments and secondly just straight up winning the beef dismantling his response, really proud of this response from Kendrick tbh ngl being the bigger person and ending this sh*t where it really needs to end
Anybody sayin Drake winnin eat pizza with a knife and fork 😂😂😂😂
this aged horribly
It was bad when he pressed upload 😂
You didnt do a lot of research prior to this
You're drunk, goofy. Euphoria is nuclear heat
