Yeah dude.. Even my parents started thinking VERY ill of Chinese people... I showed them this video and now they atleast have a little respect for them.
"Serve the people" is actually a slogan of Chinese people's Liberation Army which starts from the war times back in the 1940s. As younger generation born and raise in China, I find it a bit awkward to say or hear this nowadays. But it is truly surprising for me that this slogan has such a huge impact on people from that period of time (like my grandpa). You can tell they believe in it from the bottom of the heart.
When the old man said “I’m old Im useless” I know it’s an act but it’s like there’s people out there who are in that situation & probably feel like that & my pulled my heart strings 😭😭
You don’t need to understand the language to know that these actions were straight from the heart. If we all help one another just a little bit, the world will be a happier place.

The girl who supposedly broke her ankles, that same scenario happened to me 11 years ago. I was on my way too for a job interview but I broke my foot when I stepped down from a high pavement wearing heels. I even heard the loud crack of bones breaking and my vision blurred as I hop on to cross the street. Luckily the lights are still red and I was able to reach the other side of the road before the it turned green. I collapsed on the other side from pain, and two women on their way to work stopped and went over to me. One of them stopped a guy and borrowed a phone to call my mom. While the other took the liberty on accompanying me to the hospital while we waited for my mom to get there. Good people are still everywhere. ......
@Krish GABA Yeah, and the kindness didn't stop there. The former dean of the student affairs office from my university heard what happened. He went to the hospital a day later and bought me crutches because we had no money for it. I was a bit close with the dean along with the other student leaders and he took pity...

I have been to China for a few years. That's how they are. The education of the whole country, their sense of collectivism, they call each other uncle, aunt, brother, sister, call the country mother! I was shocked
It seems most cultures excluding European (most if not all) have that elderly respect thing calling everyone aunt and uncle. I know for sure it’s big in Asian countries and Caribbean
Growing up in Malaysian, literally everyone was aunt so and so or uncle so and so. On moving to the UK it was a shock and felt so disrespectful at first to call people by their first name without an honorific. And now I sometimes have the opposite problem because when I go back home I sometimes slip and forget the honorific!

I am a INDIAN and i really respect those kind hearted chinese and this will make a tears on my eyes 🙏🙏🙏🙏
10:15 The man was considerate enough not to touch her even when he carried the injured woman. Huge respect!
What a gentleman
Pretty sure it’s their culture(East Asian?)
They never lay hands unnecessarily! Cool culture lol

Yeah, but he made it more inefficient this way, all the weight was on his neck through the lady arms, he could have just put his hands near the back of her knees: still able to carry her efficiently but avoiding to touch her inappropriately.
99.9999% of men are gentlemen who wouldn't "touch" her. The rest is in the media.
I love youtube algorithms. Just when people started discriminating China for corona virus, they recommend these videos. Showing the bright side of China. ❤️ Love from India
Yeah dude.. Even my parents started thinking VERY ill of Chinese people... I showed them this video and now they atleast have a little respect for them.

They made me cry 😭
"It's okay, I can do it myself. It's not on your way."
"No problem. Serve the people."
So kind. My heart is touched.
"No problem.i am not in my way anyway"

The young boy helping the old man eat was the greatest demonstration of what good cultural values are in the Asian society. Elders are wise and precious, not a "unproductive social load for the national economy" like in you know where.
The idea of respecting elders as a culture sounds so great...once I graduate, I am totally moving out of "you know where"

Mad respect to old mate who flat out left his car in the intersection and pushed her to her destination. What a champion !!
Good people are still everywhere. ......
balled my eyes reading this!!
@Krish GABA Yeah, and the kindness didn't stop there. The former dean of the student affairs office from my university heard what happened. He went to the hospital a day later and bought me crutches because we had no money for it. I was a bit close with the dean along with the other student leaders and he took pity...
This is so touching 😔
I feel u even though I didn’t happen to me 😢

This clip really made me tear up! Shows that all's not lost! There's still kindness and humanity around our planet!
This shows that humanity is still left in this world... Everyone is not heartless...

She probably either has a very strong sense of right and wrong, it happened to her at one point, or she’s watched it happen to someone she loves. Or she could just be naturally protective

Just shows that there are kind and caring humans in every culture. Especially when taking care of elders.
My dad used to tell me that he wants to start a charity for poor kids, and give them education and free food. Now he is deceased it hits me hard, I work every day to maks his dream a reality. This kind of thing inspires a lot.

I have been to China for a few years. That's how they are. The education of the whole country, their sense of collectivism, they call each other uncle, aunt, brother, sister, call the country mother! I was shocked
I know. We often judge a country by their ruler and policy but forgot people and culture.
We also call uncle and auntie brother and sister to strangers
In india
It seems most cultures excluding European (most if not all) have that elderly respect thing calling everyone aunt and uncle. I know for sure it’s big in Asian countries and Caribbean
Not all Asian called their own country "Mother", I'm Russian, we are also call our country Russia "Mother" and "Motherland" sometime
"The sun will rise tomorrow as usual" was what finally made the tears spill over.
The lady with chef cap on her head, who gave the boy birthday cake and and a birthday candle, I really like her. Her smile was so genuine. She was happy to give cake to the boy
i totally agreed with you
Totally agree. I can feel the positive aura from her. Very genuine. And the last gentleman eating with the old man as well.
That’s the exact reason I cried. She just had an amazing feeling to her that was so nice and pure.
I love her huge smile, must be very lucky husband.
is it weird that im crying on my own while watching this
no, it's not weird! i'm watching this at night and crying on my own too so i think it's normal. the video touches the heart with various emotions - kindness, empathy, hope, warmth.
You are not alone.

the last guy looked really rich and yet he’s really humble and is willing to help the actor😭😭
