@@Rizla- actually if you looked into previous videos with his work with Mark Rober AND the police, people have been getting arrested, in the US and in India. It's slow, but it's progress.
As for your first question "how is he stopping them"
I mean, he gets into their computers, takes victim and potential victim information, and then deletes it from their system. They can't scam you if they don't remember your name and number. that stops them from continuing any scam that got started.
In one video, he even managed to help the police intercept a money package that was being delivered to the scammers and eventually the victim got it back
So please ask more stupid questions

@@Rizla- Did you miss the bit where he’s able to access their system and delete all their potential victims information? Just like they gain access to his, he’s doing the same and deleting all their files. Files they need to scam people. He does a lot more than just irritate them.
How about watching the one where him plus others who do what he does, which is gain access to their systems and their info, got together and closed down one of these call centres.

My office is in Salt Lake, Sec V, Kolkata..we've got several companies in the same building, last week we've received a message from the facility manager asking us to report any illegal activities related to online scam and this one was from local cyber crime cell. Thanks man. This thing is happening for real. Keep up with your good work.

I am from India. These scammers even tried to hack into my account and steal money. Luckily, I got a whiff of what was happening and saved myself. However, it made me so nervous. I believe all these scammers should get Life Imprisonment for what they are doing.
Never ceases to amaze, how these guys not only have no conscience for stealing the life savings of elderly people, but actually say you're a horrible person for exposing them. I can only conclude they all are psychotic. That's what it takes to be that deeply narcissistic and disconnected from other people.
They're too primitive to be connected to other people. In their myopic eyes he's preventing them from getting the funds needed for shitty food to survive or shitty drugs to numb themselves so they get angry. All other needs don't register, like in very simple animals. That's how scammers are.
It's just pure greed.

@@Hater-jq7yv On the live broadcasts, with the chat box operating, there is a constant scroll of people commenting. As everyone loves a massive File Delete, he gets so many Delete Files requests. Because of the usual 'web typo' it was common to see 'Delete there files!' or 'Delete They're Files!' So, he had hats made firstly with Delete There Files, and loads of people told him it was incorrect, but that's the joke. Then he went to 'Delete They're Files' and had the same response. The hat is a running joke for him.
I have a relative that was recently (last month) scammed for $18,000!!! I am so thankful for all the criminals you do catch and bring to justice!

If tv channels around the world would just broadcast some of your videos from time to time, many of these scams would be easily avoided. And apart from helping people, your videos are highly entertaining as well so I'm sure they would find an audience. I'm curious if this would be possible.
Sure to some degree scammers always adapt, if you expose one scam they make another. But I agree if TV shows, movies etc exposed the system more far less people be dumb enough to be scammed like this. Imagine if something like the next James Bond movie featured him breaking into a scam call center for some reason, exposing how they work. The impact that would have on the business would be pretty epic.
@@user-dq3ou4cr5l Not every one comes across it via random searches or suggestions. Quite often people don't look up scams till they are hit by one. Plus there is a difference between a video on RUclips and the local news or such airing stories on it. Say what you want about Modern Media, it is more of an "authority" to most people than a dude on the internet.
On top of which sneaking information into pop culture always works better than anything else. If it's in a popular TV series or movie more will know about it than anything else.

Hey Pierogi! This week I made my first successful prank call on a scammer. I gave him fake info for a while to waste his time then pissed him off when I said his boss keeps the money he steals. Been feeling pretty down lately but that was a nice dopamine hit and so was this video. Keep it up man!

When I was stationed there I learned that the local people and government hates these scammers to and are constantly shutting them down. However, it takes next to nothing for these guys to open a whole new call center within days of being caught

I remember getting a call from a scammer a while back. But I knew he messed up when he said my wrong email was used in my Amazon account. So I decided to just communicate with them in Spanish! Best day of my life! The utter frustration and anger these people were getting just a simple question! “Do you have anybody that speaks Spanish?”

Potential scam calls are why I always answer my phone in Russian.
Miguel: once I know that it is a scammer, I talk to them in Afrikaans and I use the filthiest words and phrases I can think of - and there are many in that language - they think it's a compliment when I am actually telling them horrible things about their mother 😄

Norton is a nightmare when they’re not a scammer, I had so much trouble trying to get rid of a FREE TRIAL that came with my laptop! I’ve answered the phone to a scammer, asked who’s calling and they said Norton, I told them I already called the real Norton to get rid of it because I hated it and they just said “oh right, sorry” then hung up.

Omg this made my day. I was taking for everything. Lost my home. Had to resort to selling my vehicle. They took my widowed husband's insurance money I got for his passing of 346 thousand and 6 months later I still ain't seen a dime of that. Pretended to be from the funeral home of a unpaid bill for 3,000$ I was sucked into and just so devistated at the time to catch on.

It's absolutely sickening to think of the elderly being targeted...but to target a newly widowed person & pretend to be from a funeral home....😡 hopefully those same people that scammed you will be caught by this guy!

I get calls and they always start with “can you hear me?” I usually skip saying “yes” because supposedly they use your voice recording saying “yes” to justify charges? So just say “I can hear you” or “I can” and they just hang up lol. Or say it over and over trying to get me to say “yes”.

I sent an email today to your tipline from a call I just got. I can absolutely verify that the quality of the people on the phone was MUCH worse than normal. They BARELY spoke English and very obviously couldn't understand things I was saying, so all they could do was back up and regurgitate the last thing they said from the script. It was hard for me to stay "in character" and not laugh at them.

I had to deal with my dad going threw this, and I luckily was able to stop it before he gave them his info. But I couldn’t believe how persistent they were calling back and how gullible my aging father was thinking he was talking to Microsoft tech support. It took me telling off this scammer twice by taking the phone from my father and as he proceeded to call a 3rd time I look at my dad and said if he is just tech support why would he be calling back over and over to help you fix you non broken computer while taking verbal abuse ? Think about it. It caused a large fight between us but he later came to the realization I was right. It’s scary how as our loved ones get older especially the ones that all this tech is brand new and confusing to, I absolutely love what you guys are doing!! Bring these scum bags too their knees!!!

There is one thing that I do not understand. All those scammers in such a call centre use very Anglo-Saxon sounding names but they also speak with a heavy Indian accent. How can this discrepancy not make people suspicious?
It does, did you ever see the clip of all the people who called them out, one was some idiot scammer with a really strong indian accent was like "I AM WITH SHOCIAL SHECURHITY ADMHINHISTRAHTION MAI NAME IZ MAHRK FHRANKLE" and the dude on the other end laughed so hard and was like "bullshit!" pissed that stupid scammer off right away showed him what he was worth on this planet

AnyDesk and other remote access services should restrict keyboard lockout and screen blackout to official support services (that usually have their own system anyway).
I love how you handle these scammers ! I was scammed in July thinking I won from PCH . The guy was really convincing . When he said John Anderson with an accent I should've caught it. I gave away close to 4,000 but in money orders and gift cards. Thought I was paying taxes and processing fees. I'm so happy that you're doing this ❤️
The fact that they keep trying to scam people even though the Anti scam hackers expose them just shows how desperate people can be and that can lead them into big trouble
