For anyone looking, here's the new process to disable it:
Open Radeon Software -> Click on the gear icon in the top right -> Click the "Preferences" tab -> Scroll down to where it says "AMD User Experience Program" and click the dropdown to the right of it that says "Learn More" -> Click "Leave" -> Click "Yes" and you're done!
Thanks, hope you get an ice cream soon
Thank you a lot!
Still works! I love you.
Thanks m8, it's still right there just like you said.
thank you so much dude! The WMI Host thingy was using 10-12% of my CPU because of the damn AMD Experience Program. Thanks again!
it uses up to 80% of my memory lol
Same.
Thank you i updated amd software and my system got some errors in task manager i saw that WMI is taking 10% of my cpu for no reason so i closed the amd user experience program and it got fixed thx
me too bro
Huge thumbs up. Thanks for getting right into things. No wasting time with silly intros.
I got snookered into this with a recent AMD CPU upgrade. How rude!
In this case I have NVIDIA settings and not an easy way to exit through their graphics dialog, but glad to find this from the Grok Shop! I disabled the service and off I go... Thank you for this video!
I got infected with it with my new cpu as well. Can you tell me how you got rid of it?
Omg thank you SO much, WMI Provider was using like 30% of my cpu and I searched for an hour or two trying to figure out why, and couldn't find a good video, and I came across this and gave it a try and it worked! Thanks 😄
This was very useful to me, thank you for posting this video.
Me also very useful
Thanks so much, this was causing my wmi provider host to use up to 25% of my cpu and dropping my fps from 60 to around 5
Ahhhh as I clicked "Leave" i saw wmi go from 20% to 0% cpu usage on task manager
You saved me, that thing was bugged WMI Provider Host.
Thanks so much for this! it was using 10-15% of my cpu!
thanks for the grok shop to showing me how to stop the processs
Help, they now use radeon software. There is no settings that I can finddd
still actual! Thank you good man :)
Thank you for this information. Found that AMD User Experience Program service was causing an error when attempting to pull system data via WMP Provider Host and eating about 10% cpu power constant due to it. Killing this stopped this unnecessary drain of system resources. This would have been much worse on other PCs as I'm running an 8 core processer clocked at 4ghz per core. Hate to imagine what that could have been on something that had less room to run in the background.
THANK YOU!!!!!! I opted out.
Doesn't work for me, whenever I click Leave, the "Learn More" turns into "Handling" indefinitely. And when i restart, it returns right back to "Learn More". Pls help.
luv u man u saved me
i as getting high cpu usage because of this all the time thanks . a sub earned
Life Saver in 2021 as well
Awesome Great info Thnx 👍✌🧠
Thank you pal. absolutely helpful
The program Performance Profile Client package(which I assume is the same if not does the same thing) also stores csv files on the pc daily....they take up a lot of space which builds over time, I've looked and found them in the C:/ProgramData/AMD/PPC/upload folder. Mine is already at 7 gigs.
Is it safe to deleted these csv files over time? I have files from way back 2018 taking up space on my computer?
Yes they are related and thanks for pointing out this important detail. Did you already leave the UEP? Seems like the service should clear any backlogged data when you "leave the program". I checked my folder on this same machine (used in the video) and it was empty. Unfortunately I didn't check it before leaving the UEP, so I can't tell you if it was already empty or got emptied when I left the program. I wouldn't think there would be any issue with deleting it. If your recycle is enabled, you can always restore from there if something goes south. Or you can temporarily back it up then delete it & keep the backup until you feel confident there's no issue.
This annoying program also gets installed with the AMD Ryzen Master program. To disable, open the AMD Ryzen Master, click on the settings menu (gear wheel) then navigate to User Experience Prorgam. From there you can select to Opt Out. Click apply and you're done.
Thank you so much! God bless you!
Very useful, indeed. Subbed and thx.
Very Helpful.. Tanks
thanks it fixed it thumbs up
Perfect. thank
Helpful video thanks!
I saw this in my task manager, but when I went to look at my data usage, it hadn't done anything, and I saw that I was already opted out of the program in my settings. Strange. But considering that it was running, it was taking up resources. So I've disabled the service and manually ended the task and it's gone. Hopefully it won't be back after startup. If it does, I'll just manually delete the file and hope that the rest of the program doesn't break. I doubt it would.
It's taking so much CPU and causes my PC to lag when it's newly booted. Using R5 5500, RX 5600XT and 16GB RAM.
I hope this fixes the issue with my wired mouse disconnecting and reconnecting constantly and at random.
AMD Ryzen Master software also does this.
THANKS MAN IT WORKED!
I cant launch my AMD software to do this..cant find the icon anywhere.....
In 21.4.1 they never asked me on the update no ULA just re-enabled it. I am getting a little sick of team red now! I would like to delete the whole module.
TY💟
thank you it helped a lot
NOT applicable for newer adrenaline software. The option doesn't even exist.
Thanks for fix this!
Dont mind data collection, but blue screens within 10 min then 10 sec after a "AMD User Experience Program Data Uploader could not start"?
Ty hope this solves it ;O.
i really hope so the disrupted com 10016 1 sec after is main bluescreen reason i think.
if you sees this comment please make a video on how to use the hardware reserved ram. in my pc i have 8GB of ram out of which 2.1 GB is hardware reserved and its kind a sucks.. hELP ME if YOU see this..Thankyou.
pls help it doesnt work on new amd adrenalin edition one
Thanks!
thank you so much.
thx
Thanks dude
shit had my laptop fan speed f-ed up
How do I do this on the new client version?
any solution?
@@saiko6521 What do you mean? I have not yet found a solution on Adrenaline 19 or 20
@@saiko6521Go to settings then general tab and it's down on the bottom right.
@@batsinthebelfry907 thank you!!
thanks maaaan
Note.. Explicitly made sure to NOT check that on install for a new sys.. installed whql-amd-software-adrenalin-edition-23.5.2-win10-win11-may31.exe driver package.. and found that both auepdu & auepmaster processes are running. Checked in the user prefs.. and it only lists join or learn more which gives a website. This appears to be looking like it's not joined and yet the fact is the processes are running.
wtf AMD... I've been a very long time supporter but this sort of shit is NOT impressing me at all
(Submitting it to my contacts there to see what they say and if someone screwed the pooch on this)
I love you bro))))
Mine was using up to 10gb of ram
that app sucks up my RAM . i caught it using 8gb a few times
and thanks to redeemer5703 for helping which process was using my cpu in wmi
