Thank you!
Also try getting the WiFi and lan drivers from the motherboard website rather than the default windows ones
I have a Ryzen 5 5600x and Nvidia Rtx 3060 ti gpu and it updated my cpu drivers to the latest drivers but when I try to use again later on today it keep saying error 182 not sure why I’m getting this do you have any insight about this. By the way I also deleted c:/AMD folder not sure if this was the cause for it but I read it is fine to delete that folder.
usually that is a windows update running in the background
I just installed chipset driver for my B450 and my game was way too stuttering , so i remove the driver and now its smoother idk why
that is strange
I have an AMD 7800x3d with a nvidia 3080, do i need to install AMD graphics drivers too?
yes unless you disable the iGPU
@@mikesunboxing hey, I am having some issues (losing signal of monitor, game crashing, nvidia driver crashing, etc.), i think this might be related of having 2 GPU (7800x3d integrated gpu and my nvidia 3080), i disabled the igpu in device manager, is this a good idea? can i lose fps doing thi?
Great Information On AMD Do I Need To Install Up To date Drivers For Intel Or Does Windows 11 Have Latest Drivers For Intel
Intel video coming soon, but yes to answer the question update the chipset drivers for intel as well for security and reliability
i think they fixed the chipset drivers part, i selected skip (because i watched this video after installing) and i still got the option to install the chipset drivers
what is the difference of using this rather than using for example MSI Chipset Driver Update on MSI Center?
They should be the same although with the recent hacks of both msi and gigabyte it might be safer to update from the chipset vendors site, and likely to be newer versions also until the boards manufacturer catches up
@@mikesunboxing So i should ignore msi current update at the moment?
Thanks for the great video! But I have a question. So after I installed a new radeon graphics card I can just use this installer tool and it should find the right graphics drivers and also update the chipset driver if its out of date right?
Yes it will
@@mikesunboxing Thanks 👍
I noticed we no longer get the options to select specific drivers?
really i didn't notice, will check it out
@@mikesunboxing I had to go into the AMD folder and click on chipset installer manually, then I got a ton of options. But this method you used here doesn't seem to be working the same way.
How long take to the chipset installer to install it? First pc
a few minutes
hello! i was having quite a bit of trouble with actually finding the auto detect tool to install, your video helped me a lot! Now though, after installing it, i cant seem to use the auto detect tool? as in it doesnt even appear anywhere, does it have to do with me using AMD pro? help :(
if you have an older system the auto detect might not work as intended
I have ryzen 5 5600g and GTX 1660 super so , I have to install nvidia GeForce experience as graphics driver and install adrenalin as chipset driver then I am good to go ? Thanks
yes that is right
frequent freez/crash and needed to hard restart and in event viewer says kernel error. downloaded my bios and chipset on my motherboard (asus) ver 4.07, now i installed fresh windows and latest chipset from amd 6.01, fingers cross

what are your recommendation settings for starfield for a R9 7900x3D , Rx6750
not played it yet, so i am reserving my judgement, CPU probably doesn't need to be that powerful though
it says im missing a file to download the chipset driver how do I fix it?
does it say what the file is?
where can i download ryzen 5 2600 and 3600 they dont have the adrenalin pro?
use the auto driver detect
I cannot install the software due to the IGPU (Ryzen 5 5600G CPU) Any Solutions?
the igpu needs this? not sure what is going on there
@@mikesunboxing When attempting to install the software it states, "Error 182 - AMD Software Installer Detected AMD Graphics Hardware in Your System Configuration That Is Not Supported" I do not use the integrated graphics included with the cpu as I have a gpu installed. The chipset drivers have been installed
Thank you so much for replying and I understand if you cannot solve my problem. 😀
Is there a order on how we install AMD Drivers? GPU first or Chipset?
i would always recommend chipset first
Hi, after I have everything installed, can I then just delete the file in Downloads, or does it serve any purpose? Thanks
yes you can delete if you like
hello mike i have a question i have a amd rx 580 and the chipset doesnt show is it normal?
do you have an AMD motherboard and processor?
Mike, your videos are absolutely so helpful. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to making content like this. You've helped many noobs like me around the world 🌎👍
Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated
Excellent. Would have forgotten this. I had to re enable xmp after installing, is that normal?
no that is not normal.
I get this error "the installation of the AMD chipset software was not successful" why, thanks.
needs a reboot? Or a windows update is blocking it
Mike's How to is Worthy of a Support comment. Like & a share 🙂
I don’t get it, was privacy view installed or not? Thanks in advance
only if you have the hardware to enable it
@@mikesunboxing what do you mean by that? And is there a way to see if I have installed it? I really want it gone 😂😂
Thanks Mike! Just bought the ASUS TUF GAMING B550M PLUS WI FI with 5600G after watching your videos decided to upgrade from a 14yr Dell Inspiron 570MT (AMD 785) AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 830 Processor 2.80 GHz was still running windows 7 pro until a week ago now running windows 10 pro comfortably on a 2.5 SSD when they said you couldn't and got the license key via your affiliate link premiumcdkeys. Thanks!
I'm assuming that I still have to update other non AMD drivers from the Asus support site such as;
Realtek LAN and audio drivers
Intel wifi and bluetooth drivers
Lastly, the latest 'stable' BIOS update came out 2 months after the date on my motherboard - would it be better to do the bios flashback now or after it's all up and running?
Thanks again - great channel!
yeah update the non chipset drivers from the motherboard driver site, that way you know the drivers are specific to your board.
bios wise i often use the newest bios beta or not, the security side is more important to me than stability unless the bios is terrible. most betas are fine
@@mikesunboxing Thanks!
why is keep showing "this installer is intended to be deployed only on an amd system"
what motherboard and processor do you have, or is the system upgraded from Intel Platform
Does this also update my cpu, such as 5800x3d?
Yes it will
It’s already been 2 months and the steps are a bit different. Also some of the modules seem to fail. Which is concerning
Ver 5.05.16.529 (5/23/2023) AM5 chipset driver broke my system (Infinite boot loop). I am using now driver from my MB manufacturer website, and it's rock solid.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
Can you do this over the asus armory crate software that comes with the mobo, that has its own amd drivers. Im currently experience stability issues with black sceen and I'm kinda desperate for a fix. Chipset drivers might be the next thing I try so I found this video.
the armory crate driver "should" be the same as the AMD one, i would used the AMD website one it is likely to be newer
As Mike said, use the AMD site drivers if possible first. The AMD/Intel site drivers are usually more up to date than the ones on motherboard manufacturer websites.
why my pc after install doesn't open the monitor please help me
after installing the chipset drivers?
@@mikesunboxing yes

I thought it would have an app that came with it but it didn't?
the radeon control center is the app really
Would you DDU your graphics driver (AMD) before installing the chipset drivers? or will the auto detect see you already have the latest GPU driver and not install it?
i would leave it to the auto installer to figure it out
