  • Total weigh i pulled was about 5500lbs it handles it well and has no issues stopping as long as you have trailer brakes. I have an add a leaf and the OTT tune which made the entire pull easy.

I tow my car behind my 2021 TRD off road 4x4 , combined weight car and trailer is 6000 lbs , it tows it just fine even up to 75 mph , but I do keep the speed around 60-65 that’s plenty fast for me , SIDE NOTE ; I always keep the truck in D4 and ECT is always on when towing , I mostly avg around 15mpg while towing that weight , I’ve learned to use 91 octane all the time now as I have noticed the truck livened up and responds much better , I think that is due to its high compression motor of 11:1 ratio , now with 63k miles on it I love it more today than day one when I bought it brand new . Zero issues and it literally lives Off Road in the Arizona desert

What about up grades? Do you monitor your transmission temperature?

Only upgrade is the add a leaf and OTT. I’ve seen some plug in temp gauges, but i just monitor temps and don’t let it shift unless it absolutely needs to. It also takes using common sense not to drive it hard which some people lack.
